Their price was beyond what we could afford, so I started shopping around. W.E.Brown roofing had good reviews, so we called them about the stand-alone structure. Their price was in our budget, and we really liked the knowledge and experience of the fellow who came out to spec the job, Ron Bush. They were able to get us on the schedule fast, and the team that came out to replace the roof did a great job. It looks beautiful, and the technology behind the new shingles is impressive. A couple sheets of plywood needed to be replaced, and they needed to brace one of the rafters to hold the plywood securely. They explained everything they were doing and why it needed to be done. I was worried the price would shoot up, but it ended up being entirely reasonable, and now that structure's roof is going to last for years. I'm really happy with them, and we're going to go with Brown when it comes time to replace our main roof. It was a really good experience. I don't think anyone really *wants* to get this kind of work done, but when you need it, you need it, and they made it not only painless, but pleasant.

He cancelled via text 10 minutes prior to the appointment and we have been chasing him ever since. Lots of promises & excuses. I hired him to turn my water back on after having the pipes drained for winter, as I do every season. He also flipped the switches to turn power back on for my dehumidifier, sump pump and furnace, a 5 minute job that we usually do ourselves. However, when I received the bill, I was Blindsided! He was on site less than 1 & 1/2 hrs and charged me an additional 2 & 1/2 hrs labor at $98/ hr. for travel time. He did have to run and pick up a filter, and return to screw it on. I figured that he would charge me for travel. Bellows Falls and Westminster West are only 15 minutes apart. Scott charged me an additional 2 and 1/2 hrs labor at $98/hr. When I contacted him, thinking that he had made a mistake, he responded with, "it is what it is". I charged you from when I left, until I returned. I am happy to pay my way, but I'm not entertained by being taken advantage of. If you looking for someone to mistreat, take advantage and over charge you, you've got the right guy. I would recommend that you stay as far away from Scott Harrington and his business as possible. Good Luck.

Hmm...looked like more than I could resolve on my own so I looked up some local tree services in my area and called 3 diffferant ones. They showed up when they said, which was early in the evening, which made it conveinent for someone to be home when they came. He met my wife, checked the tree situation, wrote a simple estimate and said "let me know what you want to do" and left. I decided to try them, as the other tree guys were inconsistent with their follow up, etc. I was home when they got there to do the work, and all I can say is I was impressed. This was not a real big job, but it was important to me that they did it right. They showed up in 2 trucks and a crew of 4 guys, each with a different role and they knew how and what to do. They were done in about 30 minutes, and cleaned up the area nicely after they were done. They were friendly and knowledgable and the price was reasonable. I was a happy camper, and more importantly, so was my wife. 4 Stars ****
