Wife & I recently completed a total home remodel overseen by Marrokal Design & Remodeling (separate review). We decided not to have gutters installed (mistake!) as part of the project. Our (uneducated) reasoning was we thought it would detract from appearance of our new Spanish style tiled roof. In retrospect we should have considered potential damage to landscaping by not having gutters. When San Diego's rainy season arrived, we immediately regretted not having gutters. We totally trust Marrokal and their relationship with top notch subcontractors. I phoned our Marrokal project manager and asked his recommendation for a company to install gutters. Without hesitation he recommended Affordable Raingutters in Lakeside. In December I left a voice mail at the posted company phone number. Within a few hours I had a call from Josh at Affordable Raingutters. Josh said he could have an estimator at my house the following week. Now here's the downside. Josh also informed me their company had a backlog of orders in production. Even with their crews working six days per week Affordable Raingutters would not be able to complete my installation until mid-February. That delay is the only reason I do not give Affordable Raingutters 5-stars! Yet please keep in mind two important factors: 1. Marrokal's recommendation means Affordable Raingutters in Lakeside is the best and their service/product can be totally relied upon. 2. I must admit it is better to have a company that is "in demand" vice a company which is begging for work! In December Affordable Raingutters estimator (Tim) arrived our house on time for scheduled appointment. Tim was very knowledgeable and friendly. Wife & I were very comfortable with Tim's recommendation on product style and color. Tim's cost estimate seemed reasonable and we immediately signed in order to get our job in their production queue. Fast forward to mid-February. Josh phoned in advance to confirm our scheduled date and to set a time for installers to arrive our home. Affordable Raingutters installers Branden and James arrived on time. Both gentlemen seemed well trained and courteous. Branden asked to walk the site with me to confirm drawings were correct before installation. Everything was correct and they had all required materials/tools in truck. Branden and James set to work and efficiently with attention to detail installed all gutters, drain spouts and rain chains. Photo attached of front entry gutters and rain chain. Wife and I our very happy with final product and everyone we interacted with at Affordable Raingutters in Lakeside! Lastly, a week following installation we received a pleasant surprise in the mail. Affordable Raingutters of Lakeside mailed us their 5-year warranty of product! Side note for Yelpers: I looked at Yelp reviews for Affordable Raingutters in Lakeside. I think several negative reviews posted to Lakeside company (A division of Archibald, Inc.) were intended for a totally separate company, Affordable Raingutters on Magnolia Avenue in El Cajon, link below: https://www.yelp.com/biz/affordable-raingutters-el-cajon-6 read more

We had Affordable Raingutters install new pre-painted seamless raingutters on our house and detached garage in La Mesa. Everything from start to finish was impeccable, professional, and top notch quality. Rob came and did a thorough site visit and estimate, and followed up with a detailed written quote. The job was completed punctually, on budget by a skilled professional and polite crew, led by Brandon. We love our new gutter installation and this elevated our house profile and curb appeal to a new level and will protect our eaves, soffet and fascia from all of the previously recurring dry rot. Thank You Affordable Rain Gutters! Highly recommend! read more

If you want to be repeatedly no showed with no phone call or explanation, this is your company! Scheduled and rescheduled a new gutter install 4 times over a period of about 2 weeks. They never showed up. First, it was the guys were sick (ok it happens). Second day, it was they ordered the wrong gutter color (ok it happens). Third day, it was they wrote down the wrong time window in their schedule (?). Fourth, it was "the rain yesterday threw a wrench in our schedule" (?). At the end of the day, they just weren't coming. These guys are total flakes. Hard to imagine how they retain customers. read more

I'm a GC here in San Diego and I have been using Affordable Rain gutters for years. I highly recommend them you will not be disappointed.

Affordable Raingutters is fantastic! They installed seamless rain gutters on our newly remodeled main home with JADU as well as an ADU. Our homebuilder recommended them for their fair pricing and excellent work, and they did not disappoint. Tim provided a detailed quote, making sure everything was measured correctly, and ensured the colors matched well, even returning to check the finished work and make sure we were satisfied. Tiffany in billing was so friendly and easy to work with. The price was fair and reasonable, the job was done on time, and the site was left spotless. Highly recommend! read more

We have done a lot of work with Affordable Raingutters over the years. Always a pleasure to work with them.

Brandon and Ron just did a stellar job at one of my clients homes. They have excellent attitudes and work ethic, they walked us through the project before and after their installation. The homeowner loves the attention to detail and the finished product of course! These aren't just workers, they are master Craftsman! read more

Would have been 5 stars if they didn't have to come back and fix the work of the first crew, which was fairly poor. That being said, office staff were always nice and I would use them again for gutter work but I would ask for Sonia to be my installer. She just fixed the issues we had from the initial install and she was fantastic and exactly everything you could hope for from a contractor working on your house. Thorough, honest, careful, and very nice. She is an asset to this company and the main reason I would go back to them read more

Do NOT use this company. It took 3 times for them to come out and completely install our gutters--they did a good job once all was said and done. However, they do not stand by their 10 year guarantee. After all the rain we had last winter and spring, we ended up with a couple of leaks. We called early in the year (Feb) to have them come out to repair--after 5 appointments in 5 months, none of which they ever showed up for, we're still waiting for a tech to come out and repair the leaks according to their guarantee (as of the beginning of July). read more

Friendly and professional service from the estimate to the installation to the people I spoke with over the phone. Estimate: The tech who came out to do the estimate was efficient and took time to talk about options I had questions about. He went over his design of how the gutters were to be installed during the meeting. Installation: The installation was efficient and painless. We have a decorative "lip" that skirts around the outside of our house. I had a little issue with how the gutter went over the lip. It wasn't anyone's fault or anything, it just needed a custom piece over it. The tech onsite, Louis did a great job acknowledging my concern. He told me he would talk to the office let them know and come back and change it with the custom piece. I also called the office the following day to follow up. They said the tech was coming out that same day (the day I was calling to follow up). I was very happy he was already able to come back the next day. It was no hassle or fuss. Customer service was EXCELLENT with everyone I interacted with in person and on the phone. I liked that I was able to conveniently pay over the phone by credit card. Thank you Affordable Raingutters we are a happy customer. P.s. -- Take that El Nino, our gutters are up! read more

I want to tell everyone how happy we are in dealing with Affordable Rain Gutters. My estimator was Dave (619-791-5467), the office staff is Erin and Jolene, and my installers were Jerry, Scott, Dan, and Tim. They were all outstanding from the original estimate by Dave, the friendly office staff of Erin and Jolene, the very hard working installers on a very hot and humid day were Jerry, Scott, Dan and Tim. I had two different jobs done, one in IB and the other in Coronado. I chose the really nice copper rain gutters for my home and it's beautiful. If you want a great job at a great price, be sure and call Affordable Rain Gutters first, you will be glad you did. Sign me, a happy customer.... read more

I'm a residential property manager who recently used Affordable Raingutters for a four unit property. RUN. Terrible quality and terrible demeaning customer service. This company installed gutter at my house 1 week before a rain. The first time in rained I had massive amounts of water seeping though the gutters and the facia board. Dave the general manager insisted it was a problem with my roof??? I explained several times I had 4 roof inspections and it was NOT the roof. He insisted on "prooving" it to me. He sent his own roofer who agreed with US it was indeed not the roof but the gutters. He then sent people to the house without telling me and totally unauthorized to "fix" the problem with some kind of sealer. I can't tell you what it is because if was not aware he did it. While meeting with the roofing contractor to show him the issue because Dave refused to check for himself, my husband fell and dislocated his shoulder and had to be rushed to the ER via ambulance. Instead of apologizing Dave send a bill with "late fees." *Their quote was also $400 more than TRU team for the same work. I made a big mistake going with this company! read more

At first the service was good, but near the completion of our project Affordable Raingutters really took a dive. They were a complete no show one day, no cancellation phone call or notice whatsoever. When we called them the next day to see what happened the manager took no responsibility for the mistake and could only offer to reschedule four days later. The evening before the rescheduled appointment we got a phone call confirming they would be at the project, alas, they were again a no show. The only reason I was informed they weren't coming for the rescheduled appointment is that the office lady called to see if we were satisfied, not even knowing that the crew never made it to the project. Horrible customer service. No apology offered at all. Obvious lack of business know-how. read more

The gutters are nice and the installers are nice, but watch the sales guy. He helps you pick a color to match the eaves from a 1 inch square piece and when it doesn't match they charge you a $150 to change the color to match the eaves. And another week wait, and they still came out with the wrong color again. Another trip back to the shop. How much is my time worth. Then the downspout ended up being at my front door when the sales guy said it would be at the garage. Then another trip back a few days later for the downspouts. The poor phone staff they're grumpy but I can understand why. read more

Very good experience with Affordable Raingutters. Wayne, the contact person, was honest, personable, offered up some good ideas and explained everything. Being a gutter newbie, I had no clue about these things. I was in good hands. We also discussed rain collection barrels, which I will be pursuing at a later time. Wayne called me prior to the first visit to let me know he would be late. I assured him I would be home all afternoon- no worries! So he shows up a whole 17 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. That's nothing! Yet he was considerate enough to let me know he was running late. Cool guy -values my time. (As I write this, I realize he may have skipped lunch to make the appointment. Hope that wasn't the case!). Scheduling was easy too - via Email. And they even worked around my schedule. The install crew was fast and thorough as well. On time. Polite gents all. Tidied up and hauled off all extra parts. This included the old gutter they replaced. I did procure other estimates and found prices comparable. Yes, Affordable was a little less expensive. They got the job because Wayne genuinely cares about pleasing the customer. read more

Pro: great looking gutters at meh price. Con: terrible attention to detail and follow-through. Some gutters were inches above underground drains. One vertical section was crooked, had to be replaced. One section wasn't secured properly to the house. Water rushes out of the drainpipe and *over* a gutter so it spills down on the mulch! I had to call them back twice for different corrections. One fix wasn't even the same color as the original (not even close). read more

Rob (owner), Dave (who came to see the job and give us a quote), and their crew of installers did a fantastic job both at my mother's home and at my home this past month. Great job guys! I found them through my contractor who was doing our woodwork. Our old gutters were undersized and one was missing. They went out of their way to match the trim, and get things done before the massive rains. Reasonably priced too. read more

Unreliable, overcharged, right hand and left hand don't know that they're connected. No show for installation appointment.

Today the last step of my gutter install is being finished up and wanted to congratulate Affordable Raingutters for being the most outstanding contractors ever. From Tim the estimator, to the install team, to the office team and most certainly the owners, this company top down offers the best customer service. They couldn't finish my install because I had an open trench inhibiting their ladder placement. They came back to finish again down the road when I was ready without charging me. I had some minor details that I needed fixed and they came back in a snap to fix those. Everyone I encountered had the best attitude, was super positive and very professional. Calling in to their office was always a joy and reminders were given the day before just in case you forgot. The quality is fantastic and I couldn't find anyone to beat the prices. In fact one company refused to even give me a bid since they knew they can never beat Affordable Raingutter's prices. Great job guys and gals and keep up the good work. I'll definitely be referring business your way! read more

I called their office and requested a color chart so my painter could get a head start on painting the facia boards. The office mailed a color chart and a sample chip of the rain gutter material in the color I was interested in. Their estimator, Tim, was very helpful and explained why I needed additional down spouts. He stated that their company would install a rain chain I had ready to put up at no extra charge. Their installers, Rick and Tristan, were professional and did a wonderful job. They installed my rain chain and left my yard spotless. They also listened to my concern about the short down spouts being too near the foundation and provided extended, removable down spouts that will empty the water further from the house. I am very satisfied with Affordable Raingutters and would recommend them. read more

Affordable Raingutters - Affordable installed my rain chain the day they put up my gutters. - Gutter Services Near Me - Lakeside, California

I highly recommend this company. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because it took so long for my install. That was more my fault than theirs. It turns out that after the first rain of the season they are inundated with calls and jobs. The only reason I didn't call sooner was I was still researching companies and asking for referrals. Tim came out for the measuring and to give me my estimate. He came out quickly. The estimate was lower than the first one I got and both companies came highly recommended. The women in the office were helpful and a pleasure to work with. Don't hesitate to work with Affordable Raingutters! Don't procrastinate! Honest company! read more
