I sent them $200 and the next day I found out service wasn't needed. I emailed polite about some refund as I understood I wasted some of their time. They have ignored me now for 3 days. I hired Affordable Process Server to handle a time-sensitive legal matter and paid all requested fees promptly. What followed was a long period of delays, shifting timelines (from "7-14 days" to "7-15 business days"), and ultimately a refusal to deliver the commissioned affidavit I needed -- despite repeated clear communication from my side. Although they claimed to issue a partial refund, they never provided the necessary information to actually receive it through Interac. My matter was urgent, and I gave ample opportunity for resolution. Instead, I was left without the document I paid for and with my legal deadline in jeopardy. Very impressive, they delivered my documents fast and served my party without any issues. I used other process servers in the past and found that they were very expensive especially because they charged mileage fees per kilometer. Their basic fee seemed fine at first, but after the calculation of kilometers which was around $0.95 km the price ended up being double the rate. Affordable Process Server gave me an upfront rate and to say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Anyone thinking of using this company beware!! The service is horrible and I am feeling this could be a scam. They request payment before they do service and then the gong show begins. When we sent our documents in on March 28/25, I was not aware at first they needed payment up front. They sent emails that went into the spam box saying they needed additional information, We are a company and they wanted our managers name who has nothing to do with the case and the name of the other party and their address this information was listed on the documents. May 6 over a month later after numerous calls not returned I reached out by email asking if service was done to then be told that they had sent emails as I mentioned above in this review. Now knowing about the email we checked and found them in the spam. They had our phone number they should have called. Then that is when we were told payment via e transfer had to be done before they could serve. On May 8 I received an email saying that they got our order and that they needed payment before hand. Payment made. May 13/25 I sent an email asking if service was completed. May 14/25 Affordable Process Servers replied and wrote the following: "they received payment yesterday and have already requested a rush service. We are aiming to have your documents served by tomorrow. Please note that we will need to adjust the invoice to include the rush fees and will forward the updated invoice to you once completed." May 16/25 I reached out by email asking if service had been done. No response May 17/25 I reached out again by email. May 17/25 I received a phone call from a man that said he was the process server and instantly he was rude, accused me of lying that they never sent an email about receiving payment, asked if I had mental issues, the whole time I was calm and respectful (and there were witnesses to this conversation and could hear both sides due to the conversation being on speaker) He kept telling me to stop raising my voice and I kept saying I'm not raising my voice. The man then yelled that they do complete service between 7-14 business days and continued to be rude and then hung up on me. When I tried to call him back my number had been blocked. May 28/25 Again I reached out by email asking if service had been done. No response. May 28/25 I used a different phone and phone Affordable Process servers and got the same rude man. Again he questioned my mental health and yelled at me. He then said he was putting me through to his manager, A lady came on the phone and said she was the manager and would help. The lady was nice and calm but not helpful. I asked for the affidavit of service to be sent to me the following day and was told no it would be 1-4 weeks because she had to go to her lawyers for that. I explained she didn't have to she could go to any court house and she said that is not how they deal with things. I said if I didn't receive the affidavit by tomorrow I would be contacting the better business bureau, would leave this review, and would also be contacting the RCMP because I feel this could be a scam. Today May 29/25 I did contacted the RCMP, I have left this review and my next step is to contact the better business bureau. If this isn't a scam then its a horrible business! I am editing this review and adding this. I made this review today earlier and I just now received an email from Affordable Process stating the following: "Please note that we also reserve the right to respond to any public reviews accordingly on your website." This review I posted was the experience we had with their services as customers, if they don't want negative reviews that are truthful by their customers and their experiences then provide good service and stay professional. To threaten or bully someone is not professional. To retaliate against our company with a malice review about our business, because we posted our truthful experience with their company and the service we received is absolutely unprofessional and ethically wrong. read more

Unfortunately had a terrible experience with this company. On first attempt to serve, they served the wrong person. They proceeded to deny serving the wrong person and claimed they would rectify the issue, which they did not. When I spoke with consultant, he was rude, impolite and called me a liar. Totally unjustified and unaccountable for their actions. read more
