A lot of searching came across AFAR. I give my 93yo father the number and follow up with some texts from my phone. Twenty-four hours later Rob is there. Takes care of the issues with my father's car. My father is moving with a walker or cane, Rob asks if my father needs help. Rather than driving away, Rob waits it out. Dad promptly falls, and Rob hops out of the truck and helps dad into the condo. Rob called me to relate what he did and what happened. I immediately left work, second time Dad has fallen today (not unusual to fall [basically sit down on the floor and not be able to get up]). I called not once, not twice, but three times. I was very specific about service (replace rotors and pads on vehicle. I said that I would supply all parts. I simply wanted a call back regarding price and if they would recommend anything else regarding the service. Not one phone call or text back regarding my request. I would give zero stars to this whole facility. They have no idea what they are doing, yet brag that they will have it running new. I had a strange oil or transmission leak coming from near one of my rear tires. Needless to say I was puzzled how I could be leaking fluid from the rear. I called Rob based on the positive Yelp reviews. He came out and lifted the car to diagnose. After crawling underneath the car and checking the lines, he asked me to pop the trunk. I thought this was odd. After opening the trunk there was my 5 gallon of motor oil I bought to keep in my trunk to top off my oil when its low. I guess you know the rest of the story. When the AC stopped working on my Honda Odyssey van, my regular mechanic completely misdiagnosed the problem and another quoted me $2,000. Rob returned my call within an hour (who does THAT anymore?) and came by my apartment complex the next day. Unlike service centers where you're not allowed to watch them work on your car, I could see everything Rob was doing and he didn't hesitate to explain everything I was seeing. I have to say, I have never had such a TRANSPARANT experience with a mechanic. He showed me exactly which parts were bad and how he could tell. He quoted me $1,100 to replace the compressor, about half the price of my previous quote. Rob got the new part and returned early the next morning. Rob is an honest person. He diagnosed the problem to make sure it was the starter. I was low on oil and he topped it off. He told me why my check engine light was on.
