My family has had a house at the north end of Carova beach for almost thirty-five years. In that…read moretime, I've never, ever needed a tow-truck. I've never been stuck and not been able to finagle my way out of it. It was a radiator hose that finally got me. I got two miles down on the beach before steam came gushing out from underneath the hood and I was dead in the water, no pun intended. The tide was coming in so I wanted to get out of there as quick as I could. So I put in the call. The guys were out there in about 45 minutes, had my car tied up and towed me off the beach to their place just north of what I will always call Winks. Chase and Jeff don't have a shop, but he looked under my hood and told me they could temporarily fix it by by-passing the heater core. I never asked about money. I knew how infamous the prices were for towing on the beach, but I didn't have any other option. The next day Jeff was out beside his refurbished ambulance cum garage, working on the car. He was going to McGyver the heck out of it- metal pipes in hand, trying to figure out how to get these different sized hoses connected. He told a joke a la Jeff Foxworthy and had a Budweiser can that was actually a promotional bit: the word WATER was emblazoned in blue upon the side. Over thirty years of fixing people as a paramedic and cars as a mechanic. I asked which one was harder and he said, "I treat them both the same: I try to do no harm." I went to our beach house for a couple of days with my family, (my brother in law has much better luck with radiator hoses) and was able to pick the car up on a rainy Sunday from his house on the beach. I gave him call, hopped in the car, drove back to beach house and sat down as I called him up to settle the bill. I'm glad I sat down because the whole fiasco cost me close to a thousand dollars, but there's no other choice really. And considering how stressful something like this can be- breaking down on the beach with the tide coming in and no shop for twenty five miles is nuts- Chase and Jeff made it feel as if it was just another day. Shit happens, as they say. That's probably worth a couple of hundred dollars alone.

Think twice before hiring this company and always get a second opinion…read more I called this company because my AC was not cooling properly. The technician diagnosed the issue and attempted to connect a compressor while I stood there and watched. Afterward, I was told the compressor was not the problem, the unit still would not work, and the compressor was disconnected before the technician left. Later, I received a text stating that additional repairs totaling approximately $2,100 were needed to fix what was supposedly wrong with my system. Because I was concerned about the diagnosis, I contacted another HVAC company for a second opinion the very same day. That technician connected a compressor, and my AC unit started working immediately. As a homeowner, it was frustrating to be told that the compressor was not the issue and that I needed over $2,000 in additional repairs, only to have another company get the unit running by connecting a compressor. I can only speak to my own experience, but based on what happened, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving expensive HVAC repairs.

Update: look at this man's response to our review, he's insane and very unprofessional. You can't "blackmail" a con-artist son, fact-Customers owe you nothing after you have been paid for bad work.
