I cannot say enough about Nick and his care and concern for his customers! My father and I discovered that we were locked out of our house last night when we returned from dinner out. I called several locksmiths that were in my area last night and either got a busy signal or had to leave messages. I started going down the list to those a little further away. Affordable Lock and Key was the first and Nick answered right away. I explained my situation and he said he was on his way from his home, 30 minutes away. Well, within ten minutes, I realized that a duplicate key, that I had made for my son, was still in my day timer. Great customer service! We're staying in Myrtle Villas while here with our daughters softball team. Renting from a private owner, so maintenance unable to assist. The first locksmith place I called just said they had no one available, so don't know what to tell you. Wow, thanks. I called Affordable Lock & Key and was told he was finishing up a job and would be right over, about 30 minutes. In less than 15 he let us know he was on his way. I ended up getting in myself, let him know and he was still very pleasant - no issue that we cancelled last minute like I expected (we're from NY, enough said... lol). So, although we didn't end up using the service, it's nice to know he's there if needed. I saw good Yelp reviews so I called and got Nick on the phone to come over to change my condo entry door lock. He got free a little early so texted me and I said it was ok to come on over. He showed up and I decided I needed my storage room's lock changed also, and he did it for only an extra $10, then he re-keyed both locks and asked me how many keys I wanted. I asked for 5 keys for the front door and three for the storage room, and he said fine, no extra charge. Being from California, I was dumbfounded because everything always costs extra. I needed a key for a showcase in my antique store. Mine was broken. Lowes could not do it. I happened to see a van from Affordable Lock and Key Service on my street. I asked him could he make a key for me. He said sure if I have the blank. I went and got the key and gave it to him. He quickly made it. I asked him how much do I owe you. He said nothing. I locked myself out of my home and luckily had my phone with me. I searched locksmiths in the area, and Affordable Lock and Key was not only at the top of the list, but they also had great reviews. The response time was great - less than 15 minutes. Nick was very friendly and had my lock open in seconds. The price was very reasonable, much cheaper than replacing another door frame . They are not kidding when they say that they are FAST, FRIENDLY and AFFORDABLE. Very impressed by the job done by Bryson, he came over to work on the locks and did a fantastic job in my house. We have used Affordable Lock and key to handle routine rekeying of our commercial locks at Duck Donuts in North Myrtle Beach and Surfside. Additionally Carson has resolved some lock problems that we had at the Surfside Store. My daughter locked her keys in her car in our driveway. I called a "local" locksmith from the YP and the guy was rude and insistent that I pay $95 in advance. When I refused he hung up on me. Woke up this morning with keys locked in my car, called three locksmiths and the one who ended up getting the job done was AF&K. Pricing was better than i had hoped, even helped me out. Also around 4:30 in the evening i locked my keys in my car AGAIN (my ignition and unlock keys are seperate) and they didnt even charge for it, just gave me their card.
