Justin is great. Very personable and professional. I appreciated his quick responses to my emailed questions and the way his office (wife) communicated during the process. He cleaned up after himself and was polite. His pricing for the new furnace seemed reasonable and was less than the averages I'd seen online. read more

Great experience from first contact: diligent and thorough quotation process to the on-time installation: no surprise, up and running as planned. Charlie assessed the situation and did a holistic proposal to ensure the entire system (heater and ducting) will perform. Our new heat pump was a smooth project and the perfect upgrade for our home. We are happy to cut the gas bill and reduce dependency on fossil fuel. Charlie and his team did a fantastic job. Thank you AH&C! read more

Justin and team did a fantastic job putting in a brand new York Furnace and ductwork along with registers. They also saw areas that needed attention that was dangerous and did a outstanding job. Very clean paid attention to detail in every aspect. This is a locally owned family business. I want to promote their excellence. Great job! read more

Justin was very quick in coming out to look over our thirty year old heater. Diagnosed and explained the problem. Came back on a Saturday with the part. Fast and efficient. The heater works great and his price was very "honest" which is why I would strongly recommend this company. First rate in every respect. 1/20/20 Update. Called Justin to look over our churches heating system. The congregation has been very cold for three weeks and I became recently aware of the problem and called Justin for help. He immediately responded and came over to the church the following day. He spent an hour checking the system, changing batteries to the thermostats and replaced two connectors. When I told him to bill me and I would just get reimbursed from the church, he told me "no charge". Wow. What a surprise and how that moment shines on his character. Thank you Justin for putting the word "service" back into the phrase service call. read more

Outstanding service! Had a heating issue after our recent big storm. So glad I decided to call these guys. From my initial reception from Mellisa to Matt the tech showing up well before the time promised and getting the issue fixed promptly & courteously, I couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend! read more

I called for repair as vents were blowing out cold air. Guy came out and it was determined the duct work was damaged and needed to be replaced. Repair guy states he doesn't do that work and another person at the company will need to do the work and leaves. 1 week later, crickets, no calls, no appointment, nothing. Obviously they do not want my business. read more

Our heating unit would come on but only put out cold air. Matt came out and investigated, quickly finding the problem and fixing it. He showed me what he did to fix the problem and explained what we could do to help the unit operate more efficiently. We are thankful to find a trustworthy, honorable and affordable business. This is the company we will use from now on! read more

Just had Justin install an hvac system in our home. Started the process in February of this year. Than COVID-19 hit!!! Slowed us down a bit. We also had to deal with hoa requirements as well as city of AG permit process. Through it all, Melissa (Owner Justin's wife) and Justin himself went "above and beyond" in providing exceptional service!!! Justin is extremely knowledgeable and meticulous in his craft. Melissa kept me updated on a weekly basis. We are extremely thankful that we found them based on their yelp reviews. Did I mention that they are very reasonably priced??? Beat the big box competitor by thousands of $$$! read more

Justin fixed our furnace last March after the covid shutdowns began. He had us send him pics of the 32 y/o furnace and some of the inside stuff. We did some troubleshooting by phone. When he arrived he did a bit more investigating then installed a new ignition switch and voila! $120 bucks! We told him it might be that switch because it has gone kaput a few times over the decades! But he charged $120 where the other 2 companies charged over $400! We will only use Justin because he is honest, polite, clean and not yet burdened with the costs of a larger company. His wife is really nice and a great asset for him! BTW we are having him give us estimate for Air Conditioning system (which we do not have). He told us that he's already been called out on a couple of homes in our neighborhood of which all were built for furnace only. He said the air ductwork system in place is designed for furnace and is too small to allow the amount of air movement that an AC system would require. (The other company did not tell us this and gave a $10k bid.) We are considering the Mitsubishi units that are installed in each bedroom upstairs and one downstairs in kitchen/family room area. We've stayed in hotels with this system and really liked it and originally wanted to do that in our house. The house is on a slab with tile flooring that cools the house. But the upstairs is too warm for sleep. This system operates as zones and cools the specific area you want cooled... like just one bedroom! Justin is coming out next week to go over the items we picked and the estimate. Update to come. read more

We needed a mini split put into two different rooms in our home. Affordable heating and cooling did a great job, and made sure we got the job done before our inspection! Justin, our tech, was honest, reliable, and able to work around some issues that came up. I would highly recommend them. read more

Incredibly positive experience! Justin was totally professional in both workmanship and how he dealt with us. Kept us informed, explained what was happening and what impact it would have. No surprises - it all went exactly how he said it would. Got so much more than I expected. Workmanship was top notch, system works like a charm. Very impressed with how he worked to minimize disruption and inconvenience. Could not believe the price we paid! Well below other bids, but no less of a value. Without fail one of the best experiences with a contractor we've ever had. HIRE THIS YOUNG MAN! You won't regret it! read more

The day before these folks were to finish the unstallation of my heating system, they text me to tell me that 'I am sorry that I have mislead you' and that he would NOT finish the work he started. This is the week before I was planning a huge family gathering at my house....so no family gathering due to lack of heat.....nice hun? I called the office to find out what changed and the office manager had a screaming baby in her arms so I could not even have a discussion with her. The repair person never returned my call. These folks are totally unreliable and unprofessional. Perhaps the old saying is right, you get what you pay for...low prices low service. I found another AC person who was right on the job and did a fantastic job. Perhaps a little bit more in fees but worth every penny. read more

TRULY a pleasant experience from start to finish. Justin is world class in skill and application, always mindful and very neat and clean when working inside and outside of our home. We are so pleased with our new mini-split in our upstairs bedroom...we now have space to escape to in the heat waves without cooling our entire house. Very energy efficient and will heat the room in the winters as well. Plus he is a great looking guy...a good man inside and out. read more

Justin Echavarria operates this heating and cooling company. He replies promptly to messages sent to FB, email and phone. His work is excellent as are his prices. Friendly, efficient and he cleans up everything after he is done. His attention to detail is impressive. Highly recommend him for heating and cooling needs. read more

This is an easy five stars. Justin was thee best contractor I have ever dealt with. We hired Justin to put in A/C in our house. He showed up when he said he would which almost never happens with contractors in general. His work was super clean and efficient. He cleaned up after himself. His price was super reasonable. He was always mindful of our baby sleeping when doing his work. Incredibly friendly and professional. Justin even saw an issue with our furnace from previous contractor and took it upon himself to fix it. Can not say enough great things about this company. The reviews below all share the same great experience we had. We are blessed to have been able to work with Justin and look forward to working with him again. read more

I had a great experience with Justin at Affordable Heating and Cooling. I had him do a tune up on my heater and to make sure all was good. The whole process went well from booking the appointment to having him come and work on my heater. Justin was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all my random questions. If I have any heater issues I would use Justin and his team again in a heart beat. Dont hesitate, give Justin a call. read more

You know that you'll have to pay twice if you go cheap... They are "affordable" only because they hide from the county all the job they do! No permits or testing will be done whatsoever. How is it possible that testing and certification by county and third party inspector can be optional?? Who issued you a license? Do you even care of the household that you are charging what will happen to appliances in 5 years? Stay away if you don't want to pay twice. read more

Affordable Heating and Cooling really is a five star business. I's give him six stars if I could! Our furnace with programmable thermostat works great and the whole ordering, scheduling and installation was flawless. Melissa was on top of all scheduling and helped make the process as smooth as it can get. Justin, the owner and installer was very personable and helped us to make the right decision as to size and type and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. I've dealt with a number of vendors on the Central Coast since I moved here 20 years ago. I've had builders, carpenters, electricians and several other tradesmen helping us to renovate our fixer upper over the years. Affordable heating is simply the best contractor that we have ever worked with. You can't go wrong. read more

If it were possible to give more than 5 stars I definitely would. Justin and Melissa provided extraordinary service at a reasonable price. We could not be happier with the finished product. We chose a Trane Low-Profile unit so it could be tucked into a relatively confined area under an overhang. The workmanship outside the house and in the attic as well as the electrical work in the garage is first rate. Justin recommended options that were either overlooked or dismissed as too difficult by the other A/C contractor who had submitted a bid. And unlike the other contractor, Justin handled the electrical work himself instead having it performed by a third party. Justin also took the time and effort to install a reinforced concrete pad for the A/C condenser in lieu of a pre-made plastic platform because we were concerned with ground movement. We wish Justin and Melissa all the success in the world because they truly deserve it. [As you can see in the picture, Justin neatly maneuvered the refrigerant lines behind the 4x4 post that will be soon be used to secure a short screen fence and straight up the side of the house to the attic.] read more

Called AHC when my furnace stopped working on the coldest day of the year. I did some diagnosis of my own and the error code was not related what looked like an easy fix. I spoke with a nice lady (Melissa). Justin came out the next day. He was 2 hours early (he called first to make sure that was okay with me). He was super nice and easy going. He spent about an hour working on my circa 1995 furnace. He diagnosed and repaired a electrical issue and now it works great. Even the thermostat seems to respond better. Anyway, he could have told me anything but only charged 100.00 with a new reusable filter. When this furnace needs replaced I'm not calling anyone else. read more

Justin is the man! My natural gas leak was diagnosed right away using state of the art equipment, and good old fashioned smarts. It was a llittle tricky, but Justin resolved it promptly. On top of that he added some inexpensive hardware to prevent future problems. AH&C is the best! I give them a 5+ rating. The staff is friendly, responsive, clean and they truly care about their customers. Thank you. You went above and beyond the call of duty. I will always call on you when needed. read more

Everyone there is great and responsive. As a realtor, I use and refer them quite a bit to evaluate furnace problems that come up in inspections. The are always prompt and fair and all of our clients that have used them for replacement furnaces or repairs have been very happy with the work. Also, their prices are super reasonable! We love working with contractors who do a great job and Justin is definitely at the top of our list! read more

Friendly, fast and fair! My heater stopped working and Justin responded quickly to my request for inspection. He was courteous and prompt, was informative and I feel very honest in his assessment. When it was determined we needed a new controller board, he special ordered it and installed it the day after it arrived. Again, he showed up exactly on time and was very friendly and open and did not waste time with his installation. I also appreciated his wife's friendly approach to setting the appointments. I was very pleased with his service and highly recommend it! read more

Justin is BY FAR, the BEST. He converted our forced-air heating system from below floor to the attic, and was so clean and tidy... never left so much as a piece of lint behind when working around our house, cutting holes in the ceiling for the new registers, etc. He hauled off all of the old ducting too. He exceeded our expectations. He is polite, friendly, and reasonable. 100% recommended. read more

We were thrilled to have a brand new heater installed by Justin! Our heater was "34" yrs. old. We used other heater services who overcharged us, sent in workers who had no idea what they we're doing & had us waiting forever for parts. Justin showed up early, went right to work & was very knowledgeable with his trade. He explained about what parts needed to be replaced and with the age of our heater, it was our decision to just replace it with a new one. We realized parts are getting more scarce to find on a 34 yr. old heater. The installation went smooth and clean up. Justin is a hard worker, honest, and knowledgeable with his trade. Melissa set up the appointment and followed through with all calls. They even squeezed our installation in sooner! We highly recommend them. read more

Justin did great work, not only did he repair the heater valve for a fair price, he cleaned the entire unit. He stands by their company name. Would hire again. read more

I would happily give Justin 10 stars if it were available! He and his wife are the most wonderful, professional, competent, honest and punctual business I know. I wanted a zonal heating system installed, and after having two other BIG local HVAC companies give estimates, and one actually started the job, only to tell me after taking part of my furnace apart, that it couldn't be done.... a friend recommended Justin. He appraised the situation, researched the best options, and did it exactly the way the others said couldn't be done, and for half the money! He shows up on time, he communicates clearly what the plan is, and completed the job as scheduled. And so, after 31 years in this house, I had heat in my family room this Christmas for the very first time- all thanks to Justin's knowledge and experience. Do yourself a favor and call him when you need HVAC work done...you won't regret it. read more
