Rented dumpsters through Affordable Dumpster Rental on two separate occasions recently. While the first rental went reasonably well, the second rental was a complete fiasco from beginning to end. Admittedly, scheduling was straightforward, but from there on out, things went downhill fast. Called for the dumpster in the afternoon on a Thursday, double confirming that it would be delivered on Friday and if not, Saturday morning at the latest, as we needed to load said dumpster on Saturday at the latest. Was reassured that the dumpster would be there for certain by Saturday at the latest. An inquiry on Saturday as to why the dumpster did not show was left unanswered until Monday am, at which point dispatch "apologized" that the dumpster was somehow left off the dispatch schedule but offered no other accommodation monetarily. Affordable dumpster rental had NO issues whatsoever charging for additional weight about a month after pick up. When it was pointed out that the dumpster was left at the site in heavy rain after the intended pick up date and a lot of the "extra weight" was unquestionably due to the content of the dumpster being waterlogged, ZERO effort was made by customer service and a supervisor to make even the slightest monetary correction to the supposed additional amount due. Customer service basically acted arrogant, unaccommodating, and adopted a "lecturing" tone rather than trying to keep the customer (me in this instance) happy. NET, net: will NEVER use Affordable Dumpster Rental again for any future private and commercial site dumpster needs and am disgusted by their poor service and well as inappropriate attitude. Caveat Emptor! read more

Upfront they are the cheapest. But then they are sneaky and charge you extra fees!! They brought us a dumpster that had a lot of lose concrete in it and the driver assured us we would not be charged any extra well almost one month later they took over $200 out of our account how sneaky are they! They also refused to do a refund without a picture very bad business practice so so not trust them!!! I now see several bad reviews wish I did my homework before read more

SCAM ALERT - WHAT A SCAM!! Ordered a dumpster and was charged $657 for overages that are not even possible. What a joke! Our dumpster was maybe half way full with not even 2000 lbs that was included in our original order. Now they are charging me $657! I tried calling to resolve the issue but didn't get anywhere. Disputing this charge with credit card company. DO NOT TRUST these people! Avoid them at all cost! read more

Called on Monday for a Friday drop off of a 30yrd dumpster. Friday afternoon we called at 3:00 to see where it was. They confirmed we were on their schedule for that day, but they couldn't give us an estimated time (that was fine, we didn't need it until Saturday) Showed up Saturday morning with a full crew and NO DUMPSTER!!! After two hours and multiple phone calls, as I kept being put on hold then eventually hung up on, I finally spoke with someone who said there had "been a mistake and the soonest they could get it there was MONDAY?!?!" ZERO STARS, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more

Zero stars. Avoid at all costs. Signed a contract at one price but I was called immediately and told the address was entered incorrectly (by them... but it wasn't, because it was the same address on both contracts and even the original quote) and the real price was actually $60 more due to the location. They also took a full week to pick up the dumpster even though I specified when booking that it needed picked up on a certain day. Lastly, they sent another bill almost two weeks later saying they were charging another $200 for weight overage, claiming our junk weighed 3,240lbs. That's a freaking car! I estimated the weight at about only 400 lbs because I personally carried and hand tossed everything in there. Judging by the other reviews this is pretty standard BS with this company. And when I try to call and dispute the claim I get transferred to voicemail over and over. read more

Run as fast as you can from this company. They tried pitching affordable but far from the truth. I ordered a 30-yard dumpster for $500 and they told me it's rare people go overweight. I was hit with a additional $459.80 charge for an overweight fee. Go for a fixed rate company. How do I know it was the weight they said. Also they tried to bill me for an addition day even though there wasn't one. it came a day late from when they said it would be delivered. They were supposed to pick up from 1 to 3 days after I called them, but it sat in my driveway over 10 additional days blocking my driveway. During this period the snow storm came and added additional weight to the dumpster I'm sure. I believe enough said, if you want to be over charged use this company read more

No communication when picking up. Will not give timeframe to pickup within days. Slap extra charges on after the rental. BEWARE avoid this company at all costs. read more

Beware. The person on the phone was nice enough. But they double charged the booking fee, delivered the dumpster a day late, then charged me for an extra day that I did not use. I've used many local dumpster services and never had any issues, until this time. Would not recommend or use again. read more

Bait and switch at its finest. I ordered a 10 yd dumpster for a period of 7 days. What arrived was a 20yd dumpster. This seems to be a common occurrence with this company. When we ordered the 10 yd we were told that 1000 lbs was included with the payment. When they brought the 20 yd dumpster they kept the weight at 1000 lbs. We however were not informed of this. We were only told that they did not have any 10 yards available so they just brought the 20 yard. That seemed to make sense. There was no contact to tell us that we would still have to stay below 1000 lbs. We did our work and the called for pick up. The dumpster then sat in our drive way for three more days until they finally came to pick it up. A few days later we were sent an invoice for an additional $90.80 for weight overage. The issue is that we did NOT have 2000 pounds worth of stuff. The dumpster was not even close to full. We only had household debris and garbage bags. There was a small cabinet that I was able to carry with myself and one other person. It was not the least bit heavy. We had several fence panels in it as well. After reading the reviews on this lovely scam filled dumpster fire company, I see that weight overage is apparently how they make their money. They say they are charging a flat rate but that you will be liable for any overages. The issue is that I ordered a 10 yard dumpster because we knew that is how much we would discarding. The interesting thing is there is a little line on the dumpster that says fill line. At no point do they explain how to figure out how much weight you can estimate having. I guess that's so their little bait and switch plan does not get ruined. They were in breech of a nice little contract. The company failed to provide me with a 10 yard dumpster. I put the exact same stuff that I was going to put in my 10 yard dumpster into the 20 yard. I then asked for a receipt for the dump fees. I was sent a generic receipt that had no reference to my home at all. It was just simply for a load on the same day that our dumpster was picked up. I will check the Ring cams to see what time it was actually picked up. I emailed the company and was given a return call. They refunded a $19 fee for an extra day that we agreed should not be charged. They did not budge on the $91.80 overage. Stay far far away from this dumpster fire scamville company. I wish I had. read more

Use at your own risk. I do not recommend. Phone Number gets you to a call que that will get you down to "One Caller Ahead of you" then send you to voicemail after another minute. If you need to cancel there is a $75 fee unless it's same day then is $275 both of which are not spelled out at the time of quote. Don't try and call on weekends I called 5 times each time in "que" for 5 to 6 minutes, each time sent to voicemail. Once I left VM they returned my call the next Monday mid morning. SCAM ALERT - BEWARE! I've used dumpsters many times over the years and know exactly what to expect. This time, I filled it with some vinyl flooring, cabinets, and a small household cleanout--nothing excessive. There was plenty of space left in the dumpster when I called for pickup. In fact, I had to schedule the removal early because I had a delivery coming and needed the driveway cleared. They missed the scheduled pickup time with zero communication, and it wasn't removed until the next day. Thankfully, I took time-stamped photos of the dumpster before it was taken--clearly showing what was in it. Then came the real shock: they claimed I exceeded the 3,250 lbs included weight limit by 8,500 lbs--for a total of nearly 12,000 lbs! That's simply not possible given what was in the container. After researching the company, I saw multiple similar complaints from other customers, all with the same story: suspicious overage charges, lack of transparency, and poor service. I've filed a formal dispute and will be reporting this to the Florida Attorney General. If you're considering using this company, do yourself a favor--look elsewhere. This experience was dishonest and completely unacceptable. read more

I would like to advise against using their services. I was charged nearly twice the amount that was initially agreed upon. They are claiming that the reason for this discrepancy is because the shipment was overweight. I wish I had read these reviews beforehand. Their website contains positive reviews, but I urge you to conduct further research before making a decision. read more

The weight cap I was given for the dumpster I rented was either a gross underestimate, or I am being grossly overcharged. The company alleges that we exceeded a thousand pounds of detritus, resulting in an enormous bill due to alleged "overages" in landfill fees. Not only have I not been shown any documentation to support this, but I have been given no relief for this situation. Mind you, the debris in question was not any kind of masonry or steel, and should not have resulted in the weight I was charged for. They didn't even offer me an apology--if I could give zero stars, I would. Don't trust them, don't use them, don't give them the time of day. read more

This company is a complete scam. They will over charge you for total weight in dumpster. I got wanted a 10 yard dumpsters for a wooden bed frame a few trash bags filled with Styrofoam and some yard trimmings ( branches). When I called and placed the order the girl working for them said she would give me an upgrade to a 15 yard for just $1.49 more. Sounded good at the time, but it is all part of their game. They send me an invoice almost a month later after dumpster was picked up ,telling me I was 1260 pounds over weight. Trying to charge me an extra $138.00. I am a contractor and I have used several dumpster services in the past with no issues. Do yourself a favor, if they claim they are the cheapest, stay away. Total rip off be aware If There was A 0 star i would give it a 0. You cannot even talk to a customer service. Be aware it's a total rip-off. The landfill charges under $60 a ton. They charge you $200 a ton. Be aware it's a total scam and rip-off. When I spoke to the manager, they did not even bother to address my concern. It's a contract once you sugn it you're on the hook. Mr. John, you got me good. I would never, ever give you my business again. I make sure everybody that I work with will not give you their business as well. Thank you for screwing me at almost three hundred percent for the excess weight. Be aware. 09 cent a lbs. Who on God's earth uses pounds for dumping shingles Most your competitors will give you 2 tons =4400 lbs you give 2000 lbs They charge$ 70 or less a ton You charge $198.00 a ton (almost 300%) Other base charge is $ 250 yoy charge $319.00 They give 10 days you give 8 days Extra stay at $10.00 a day you charge $19.00 a day So to all potential renters BE AWARE OF THIS RIP OFF PRACTICE It's my fault for not paying attention to the 9 cents a pound It really really feels horrible read more

Stay away from this company. ADR is a total rip-off. I rented a 20yd dumpster with a 2,000 weight load. My sister and I emptied some closets, clothes from the attic in my parents home and barely covered the bottom of the dumpster. It was picked up and weeks later I get a bill for $130 for an extra weight charge. I asked to see a copy of the bill from the weight station and MIRACULOUSLY it was exactly 1,000 over my weight limit. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ODDS ARE THAT WE FILLED THAT DUMPSTER TO EXACTLY 3,000 LBS??????????????????????? We couldn't have done that if we tried. This company is a total SCAM. One of the worst companies ever they tell you one price and they charge you another weeks later without even asking they will just charge the card you gave them at first without authorization. And they won't show what they're charging for or the breakdown and the dumpster that was taken to the property that we wanted the dumpster at wasn't even their dumpster. It was Western elite dumpster. This is a really bad company to do business with I do not recommend it. read more

I rent two dumpsters from this company in 2024 and both were said overweigh and I asked for a receipt what the landfill charged them but the company refused. One of the dumpster overcharged me $486 for the overweigh on top of I originally paid $488 in advance and so total was $994 in this 20 yards. The other 15 yard is again overweigh and the company charged another $215 on top of $449, so total bill was $664 for paper goods and foods waste dumpster. A total rid off because the company refused to provide what the landfill charged them so I can reimburse the different. The company refuse, so I wish I knew this bad review before I rent. let me start by saying I not to happy with Affordable Dumpster Rental. Let's start by saying I asked for a morning drop off due to being in town for only 3days and was assured that it would not be a problem. Morning of no show called to get an eta. they said they could not give me one but that I was on the books. Called 3 more times same thing and was told it would be delivered sometime in the evenin. 11:30pm no show. Oh yeah they want a $250 cancellation fee for a dumpster that was never delivered. Lost time and money for I had excavator and a crew of laborers on stand by for most of the day. So if you plan on renting a dumpster you might not want to use this company. read more

Affordable Dumpster didn't help me choose a dumpster- I got the 20 yard. We loaded it with basic stuff, nothing heavy or major. (basement boxes, coolers old junk) They came back saying we filled it WAY over the tons available and charged a huge amount! Would never go with this company again! Other companies would have been cheaper and better to go with if I would have known that the over weight would happen. They might be the cheapest to start with but you get what you pay for!! Salesman, Melcome sold me a dumpster. Never once told me about a 1000 pound limit or 95cents a pound when over for a 10 yard dumpster. 1000 pounds for attendant yard dumpster is barely anything can hold up the 5000 pounds easily they only put that information in the contract, which is a shyster move. Too many hidden fees. I'd rather spend with a company that is upfront with their pricing.

Had an agreement for a dumpster to be delivered on Wed. They never showed up and waited till after 5pm to send a text saying they were not going to show up. I called and was told that it would be there Thurs 6am-12pm, that also didn't happen. I called and was told the ETA was within the hour, this was at 1215pm, now 2 hours later still no dumpster and when I called I was told that they come out whenever they can and there is no day or time for their ETA, even though they ask and request that info. If you want to cancel the same day its 250.00, even though they cancelled it on me the day before when they did a no show. SAVE time and money and go elsewhere. I was just now called by the driver. This company did not even have a dumpster set up for me this morning so when they told me an early delivery, that was a lie.
