I have used budget Dumpster Rental many times over the last 8 years. They expect that the burden of making sure the spot you want the dumpster is clear and the gates are open for the entire day since they won't commit to a time slot for delivery or pick up. This can be difficult since I am not living in the houses I need them at and it is not easy or cost effective for me to keep paid staff at a location simply to unlock a gate for them. These gates can not be left unlocked and unattended due to other equipment we have on site and not wanting it to walk off. #2 If you are not there to open the gate, or there is something in the way of the dumpster they will charge you a $150 fee for the inconvenience to them. Never mind the inconvenience of them not committing to a time slot and the inconvenience to me that causes. #3 If you are over their weight limits by even one pound you will also be slapped with a overage fee. Now the positive 1. There prices are normally lower than the average I have found in the area. 2. When they do show up their drivers are professional and are good at placing the dumpster exactly where I want it without damage to the property . Overall I will probably continue to use them. I got a call this morning at 9 AM that they no longer were able to deliver the dumpster we agreed upon because over the weekend their truck that transports them had mechanical issues. The representative on the phone understood my frustration because I had taken PTO to do this project today. He then offered to bring me two 15 yard dumpsters which equals 30 yards instead of the 20 yard I ordered to make up for it. It was a fair offer in theory had they have been able to execute on their promise. At 1 o'clock, I still didn't have any dumpsters in my driveway had lost the entire day I had taken for PTO. I then called back to explain my frustration that now to do the project I have to take a second day of PTO since I wasted this one. I was told the gentleman was on the way to the dump to dump out one dumpster so they would have both of the 15s to bring me.
