I have used budget Dumpster Rental many times over the last 8 years. First the negative and then…read morethe positive to end on a high note. #1 problem I have with them is they are unwilling to give you a eta. They expect that the burden of making sure the spot you want the dumpster is clear and the gates are open for the entire day since they won't commit to a time slot for delivery or pick up. This can be difficult since I am not living in the houses I need them at and it is not easy or cost effective for me to keep paid staff at a location simply to unlock a gate for them. These gates can not be left unlocked and unattended due to other equipment we have on site and not wanting it to walk off. #2 If you are not there to open the gate, or there is something in the way of the dumpster they will charge you a $150 fee for the inconvenience to them. Never mind the inconvenience of them not committing to a time slot and the inconvenience to me that causes. #3 If you are over their weight limits by even one pound you will also be slapped with a overage fee. Now the positive 1. There prices are normally lower than the average I have found in the area. 2. When they do show up their drivers are professional and are good at placing the dumpster exactly where I want it without damage to the property . Overall I will probably continue to use them. I do wish they would address my issues and respect my time as much as their own and maybe allow a little grace when it comes to overages but otherwise you will get what you expect from these guys.

Admittedly, scheduling was straightforward, but from there on out, things went downhill fast. Called for the dumpster in the afternoon on a Thursday, double confirming that it would be delivered on Friday and if not, Saturday morning at the latest, as we needed to load said dumpster on Saturday at the latest. Was reassured that the dumpster would be there for certain by Saturday at the latest. An inquiry on Saturday as to why the dumpster did not show was left unanswered until Monday am, at which point dispatch "apologized" that the dumpster was somehow left off the dispatch schedule but offered no other accommodation monetarily. Affordable dumpster rental had NO issues whatsoever charging for additional weight about a month after pick up. When it was pointed out that the dumpster was left at the site in heavy rain after the intended pick up date and a lot of the "extra weight" was unquestionably due to the content of the dumpster being waterlogged, ZERO effort was made by customer service and a supervisor to make even the slightest monetary correction to the supposed additional amount due. Customer service basically acted arrogant, unaccommodating, and adopted a "lecturing" tone rather than trying to keep the customer (me in this instance) happy. NET, net: will NEVER use Affordable Dumpster Rental again for any future private and commercial site dumpster needs and am disgusted by their poor service and well as inappropriate attitude. I got a call this morning at 9 AM that they no longer were able to deliver the dumpster we agreed upon because over the weekend their truck that transports them had mechanical issues. The representative on the phone understood my frustration because I had taken PTO to do this project today. He then offered to bring me two 15 yard dumpsters which equals 30 yards instead of the 20 yard I ordered to make up for it. It was a fair offer in theory had they have been able to execute on their promise. At 1 o'clock, I still didn't have any dumpsters in my driveway had lost the entire day I had taken for PTO. I then called back to explain my frustration that now to do the project I have to take a second day of PTO since I wasted this one. I was told the gentleman was on the way to the dump to dump out one dumpster so they would have both of the 15s to bring me. It became a parent at that point that they're never likely was a dumpster available today. They just didn't have one and didn't wanna lose the job so made a promise to me that they could execute when they knew they couldn't. I received absolutely zero empathy for the second PTO day request, and then the gentleman on the phone started to become argumentative. I highly recommend you hire anyone but this company because they are unreliable and do not do what they say they can do. If you're relying on the affordable waste solutions to do their part to meet a project schedule or deadline whether you're in Construction or a home repair project it won't be with this company as they just feed you mistruths while they juggle their equipment to not lose out on a job.
