One lady has always been nice and very friendly abs extremely helpful, she is the younger of the two. Then there is the other lady .. She is an absolute awful person. She is always rude to me " I'm an extremely kind and happy kind of guy. I work as a host greeting customers all day". She has ignored me , she has gone out of her way to direct our conversations into demeaning me. She has on multiple occasions refused to help me with my referrals telling me because I missed one appointment " during the pandemic and me not feeling well mind you " that I should expect to ever be seen again to get my root canal. She manages to make me feel unwelcome from the moment I arrive up until the moment I leave. The way she talks down to people, acts better than people and basically does everything she can to make you not want to see these dentis again makes me have to wonder if she's the owners , main dentists wife or family member to still have a job. Businesses are desperate for employees these days but I couldn't imagine many would even keep her as an employee , even out of complete desperation. I've decided to right this rev after menu visits because I actually really like the other staff and my dentist has been absolutely amazing ? ive also decided to research abs find out who runs this establishment and make them aware of how poorly this woman treats us patient.

New to the area and had an appointment as a cash paying new patient. Their schedule was not…read moreflexible so I took a day off of work for the appointment. I received a call from the office that they have to cancel my appointment because the doctor is out sick, which I completely understand. Bummer, but it happens. During the call to reschedule I was told that the hygienist has actually decided that the previous amount I was quoted was incorrect- instead of $150 it was going to be over $400 for my first appointment! Again, as a former dental assistant I understand, some times different treatment is necessary. However I was told I would need a full mouth debridement (which is usually reserved for people who have not had a cleaning in years) and xrays again- even though I have had routine dental care, cleanings and had recent xrays sent over from my last office. In fact my last dentist told me my teeth were beautiful! I wanted to support a local office however treatment like this seems shady, profit driven and inconsiderate. I realize we are all just trying to do our jobs, but now I have missed a day of work for no reason and am on the hunt for a new dental office. This one just doesn't seem to care about making dental care affordable or accessible for the younger, uninsured working crowd.

I have lived in the…read moreHuntington area most of my life and went to Dr. York growing up and while in college and then moved away. I move very often, mostly to larger cities, and currently reside outside of Philadelphia. A few months ago I went to a new dentist for the first time near my home in Pennsylvania and was given the news that I had 16 cavities, needed a root canal performed and needed a tooth extracted, a bill which totaled over $10,000.00 after insurance payments!! I was shocked at this news, and most definitely did not believe it, since of course, I've only had two cavities in my entire life when seeing Dr. York, but yet, it had been a few years since I had seen a dentist, but still this seemed excessive and I wasn't sure what to believe and didn't know if this was just a gimmick for the dentist to receive more dollars in his pocket. I made an appointment to see Dr. York on a visit to see family in Ohio to get his opinion, and long story short, I did have cavities, but only five, and no root canal, no extractions. So only around $158.00 after insurance payment out of my pocket!! Dr. York is an amazing doctor. He has a well established business. He doesn't have to "fake" cavity fillings to make more money because he does well and is honest and that is why I go to him even though I live far away!! I'll arrange my appointments to correspond with family visits from here on out!

This experience was a little better than my visit last year. The biggest and best thing that…read morehappened was: I did not have a massive abscess in my gum lining. I did, however, had several broken teeth and a few that were on the gum line. My surgery was in March and the prep work was fine and I understood what needed to be done from my end. The day of surgery went well. I was actually put under unlike last year when I was awake for about 90% of the procedure. Post op recovering was painful, as you can expect. I am the poor soul who cannot take any NSAID meds so the swelling caused a great deal of pain. I called the after hours hotline and was told to take an extra dose of pain meds sooner than when it was due. I informed the doctor that I was only given 10 pain pills and I am wanting to ration them since they are few and if I run out I do not feel comfortable in asking for more because I would then be labeled as a "seeker". His only other advice was for me to take IBU. I informed him that I cannot take them as I am highly allergic to it. He had nothing else to tell me to do for pain relief. So I, begrudgingly, took a dose that was an hr earlier than when it was due. Long story short: I went back to get my screws implanted in my posts and, I had no idea that this is what was going to happen until I got there, that he had to numb my gums and cut along the line of my gums to to get to my holes. Lets just say that no matter how many times he numbed my right side it would not take. My gum line was white from no circulation and when he cut on that side I screamed out and said: what the hell man??!! Why did you not do this while I was under sedation? All he did was laugh at what I said. I then said: I was not making a joke. Now that this is over, I am beyond thrilled that I no longer have to step foot back in this building. I had to take extra time off work to heal and they (not all mainly just the surgeons) need to work on their bedside manners. I will not recommend this place to anyone I know and I am glad that this part of my life is over.
