This is not meant as a complaint, but rather a gentle reminder to help improve administrative follow-through. Small oversights like this may not seem significant, but they can become important for patients and even affect their overall experience. I hope attention can also be given to these administrative processes alongside clinical care.

We spent a good amount of time discussing the smile and he was thus able to beautifully correct my slightly inverted teeth. I have never been so confident in my smile and I have also not stopped receiving compliments since I got the veneers. I started coming here 7 or 8 years ago while living in Lakewood and have kept returning despite moving to the other side of town. The facility is clean and comfortable and they always have HGTV playing on the TV's which relaxes me a bit. Dr. Niki is nice and efficient. She talks pretty fast and isn't really an over explainer, but I feel comfortable with her treatment plans. I don't feel like I've ever been pushed to do any unnecessary procedures and she is very thorough. All of the dental assistants have been very friendly and professional. They really talk you through the procedures and aren't annoyed if ever you need a break. I took off one star because I did have a billing problem once. At one point before the pandemic, I had to get a ton of fillings which were supposed to be sent to my insurance. Basically they quoted me incorrectly because my insurance had maxed out but I never knew the difference that I was supposed to pay out of pocket. After that, I continued to patron the place, playing for a teeth whitening 100% out of pocket and thinking that my account was all paid up. Just earlier this year when I went in for a cleaning I was told that I had a balance due because my insurance didn't cover all of those fillings from years ago. It was pretty frustrating because I was never contacted or sent a bill. Luckily, we were able to resolve it and I was offered a discounted payoff amount, which I appreciated because it was an error on their part and could have been dealt with a long time ago. Their new billing manager Kelse went over the entire bill with me more than once and I eventually understood/was satisfied with her explanation of things. Overall, I definitely trust CLE Smiles with my dental care. I sought out this business because I wanted to support a female dentist at the time and I am happy I did.

I've been going to Hyland Dental Care and seeing Dr. Hornyak for about 4 years now…read more Prior to going here I tried DeVor DDS and Cochran DDS in Lakewood and had issues with both offices/doctors. What originally brought me to Hyland was a second opinion/consultation on a wisdom tooth that had developed a bad cavity in it and needed to be pulled. The thing was: my wisdom teeth came in straight, had room and were functional. The only reason the one needed to be pulled was because of an unreachable cavity. The original prognosis from Cochran DDS was that I'd need oral surgery to have the tooth removed. But when visiting Hyland Dental Care they offered to have to extracted that day and the procedure went with zero issues. A few years later I had them remove the other top wisdom tooth with no problems. From a cost perspective Hyland is the most cost effective dental provider I've had. The other thing is the service is much better than I had at other dentist offices, the staff are always friendly and nice to talk to. Also they are always concerned about how you are feeling during an operation. Also I've had Hyland Dental do a root canal and two fillings for me. The root canal was originally a pulp capping that I had done there previously but the nerve died on its own a few years later. They were able to just drill through the existing crown , do the root canal and fill the crown. This saved me close to 400$ on my procedure because a new crown wasn't needed. Out of all of the procedures I've had done here, I've never once had a bad experience, felt any pain or had an appointment canceled on me (I've seen this mentioned by others in comments, just thought I'd mention). As long as this office is around I'll always come here for my dental needs.

I don't mind reviewing soulless corporations, hard working small businesses and such, but this takes it to a more personal level. Dr. Chambers has been my dentist for about 13 years. And frankly, he has been a friend for almost as long. Business is business, but we did in time develop a genuine friendship aside from our professional relationship. And Dr Chambers being one of the cooler people i know, and me being in the hospitality industry, our paths crossed on occasion. And lucky for me that they did, as being a bartender/waiter for 18 years, dental care was not my biggest priority. Eating was. Paying rent was. Dr Marty, as I now call him, was well aware of the plight I, and others in my industry suffer. All said and done, I owe the guy a lot. He really saved my mouth from a dismal fate. I used to smoke, flossing was not a daily thing.... Methodical, fastidious, and fast. Dr Marty don't mess around. He gets the job done, tells you your options on your dental care and the ramifications of various levels of care. He is a straight shooter, has a great sense of humor, and is a helluva guy that also teaches, and works on the less fortunate in our fair city. Big props, bigger respect. A few of the old 70's down on their luck Cavs dudes owe him their current smile. Bottom line; great dental work, no unneeded bullshit, and he works fast and precisely. Done. Flawless. Highly recommend. First class dental hygienists and techs as well. State of the art equipment, as he teaches at Case and has to stay up on these things I would think. Fuckin A, my first dentist memory involves a drill that you had to pedal. With your feet. Like a freakin' antique sewing machine. (My parents were immigrants.) I also remember the x-rays being developed in a closet. Needless to say, I have emotional dental related scars. The drilling scene from the movie "Marathon Man" comes to mind. Dr. Martin Chambers. A helluva Irish Dentist. One last thing. He is also my 80 year old mothers new dentist since she moved to Lakewood. And she loves him. Carry on.
