I hired Eric, and he has been nothing less than fully committed, non-stop, determined to find and catch whatever animals were causing me such anxiety. After only one reasonable payment, he has come to my house as often as necessary, replacing traps, trying new ideas, etc. Until tonight, around 9 pm, i heard the newest trap snap, and behold, a large raccoon was caught. I had been texting Eric whenever i heard noises, over these many weeks, so texted him this night, and he came right out and took care of the animal right away. Personally not being a huge fan of insects I decided I would hire a company to come and take care of the problem for me. When I first called the rep on the other line was very helpful and even offered a discount when I was a little sticker shocked by the price so right off the bat I was impressed with their customer service which is why I perused Orkin Pest Control. Setting up the initial visit was simple and I was excited to finally get this bug situation under control. As the day of the initial visit came closer there was no email confirmation or reminder text, leaving me a little unsure if they had still planned on arriving. But the day of the initial visit I had revived texts and phone calls about the estimated time of arrival which was nice. The tech showed up right when he said he would, was very friendly and professional. However he said he was uninformed that cobweb removal was a service I wanted done that day but he was still happy to help. After spraying all the windows and doorways he grabbed his brush for removing cobwebs and headed to my basement where the situation had gotten bad over the last few weeks for no apparent reason. I waited upstairs while he worked and after about 10 minutes he came back up said I was all set and went on his way. I went down to check, with low expectations given he was only down there for 10 minutes and my basement was literally covered with cobwebs from top to bottom, only to find that every cobweb was still in its place. Extremely disappointed I contacted Orkin and let them know of my situation. I spoke with a different rep this time to which she said "The tech who helped you today will reach out, and you can set up a time for him to come back and touch up the areas he missed." 1. That's like slightly awkward to have the guy who I just placed a complaint about call me back and set up a time for him to come back into my home? Lol 2. Never got a call back so after a week I reached out to Orkin and set up another appointment. Spoke with yet a different rep who assured me that the 1st tech would not be the same one to come and touch up what was missed with the initial visit. I asked about cobwebs removal and explained thats the main thing I wanted taken care of and the rep said "They should remove the ones they can see and that they can reach with their brush without having to move your personal items." That being said I made sure everything in my basement was away from the cobwebs I wanted removed. Most of them were in the baseboards of the ceiling or doorways or corners where I didn't have any personal items in the first place (I have an unfinished basement). When the day came for the second visit (at no charge which was nice) I had high hopes that this time the cobwebs would be taken care of. The tech was different from the first, also kind and professional, so I went into this with a little more hope. But to my demise, cobwebs are still in corners, still in doorways, still visible and I'm left disappointed. I plan on canceling my membership with Orkin. I understand they are not a house cleaning service but if cobweb removal is a service they provide and I'm paying for that service, I would expect it to be done right the first time. If I wanted to do it myself for free I would but I would rather pay a professional to come out and do it properly so you can imagine I'm rather disappointed when it takes two men to come out and clean them and still not do it right.

Very disappointed with the service. Although their staff is friendly, their sales is misleading…read moreand they do not address customer problems as they arise. Four years ago, I contacted several companies because we were having issues with bees and wasps. Smitter gave me the most cost-effective quote for treatment of the bees and wasps and set me up for service. We repeatedly had issues with the bugs coming back over the years and had to call them to come back out. When I contacted them recently, I was told by a new office worker that the service we signed up for does not include treatment of bees and wasps and we would need to pay an additional $142 fee. When I asked her to look back at our file to see that we had originally only sought treatment for bees and wasps. She indicated that she did not work there at the time I started with the and couldn't help me. They refused to go back and look at our file as to what was originally requested or try to make it right. I would not recommend and if you do use the service, please double check and look up the paperwork carefully to make sure they're spraying the appropriate products for your needs. Their word cannot be trusted. At this point, we've probably paid them over $1500 and they have not provided any of the service that we requested. We also now have siding damage from the bees that were never properly treated.

We had to contact an exterminator recently because I discovered we had mice in our home. We have a…read morerelatively newly-built home (having moved in less than 6 months ago) and so were surprised at discovering this. A week or two prior to discovering the mice, we had some exterior work done and the siding was damaged. The builder's foreman felt this was not likely the path of entry for the mice, but agreed to speed up the siding repair. In any event, I didn't want to fool around with any infestations in a new home and so I got some traps to bait and then called a professional for an inspection. I am extremely glad I called Critter Control. I will note that the receptionist for the company was a little off her game. When I first called her, she said the exterminator was on another job, but she would contact him and find out what his schedule was and would call me right back. She did not call right back and so I called her after a while and she admitted she got distracted and forgot, but then called him and got me a time for him to come out, which was fairly quickly. When Josh arrived, it was right at the time specified. He was courteous, professional and informative. He got the necessary information and then proceeded to do a very thorough inspection. Although he noted the likely point of entry was at ground level where our siding was damaged and awaiting repair, I soon found him up on our roof looking around. I wasn't sure then what the heck he was doing on my roof, but I learned he was performing his usual inspection, complete with photos, which I am now so relieved he did. He found several concerning areas on our roof as potential entry points for bats and hornets (a problem we had at our prior home.) Josh not only took several photos of all the problem areas, but he included them in his report and work order to us that same day. He added several traps outside our home to help prevent more mice from entering until the siding could be repaired. We ended up catching the mice that initially entered and no more have been spotted, although several of the exterior traps were full. Josh followed up with us a few days later to make sure everything was good. Due to the very thorough and comprehensive job performed, we not only had a total resolution of our mice problem, but we were able to identify other areas that the builder needed to address. I feel this inspection probably saved us hundreds of dollars (at least) in future pest problems. I am definitely going to call them back for another inspection after the builder has addressed all the issues. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Critter Control.

The last guy that we had service our home was Isaiah (I think that was his name). Isaiah has only been with the company for a few months, but he seemed to know what he was doing and he was very polite and helpful. We get a visit quarterly and this visit took place outside.....the next one will most likely be inside. What I really like about Griffin is that with our plan we can call them anytime we have a concern and someone comes out right away and takes care of it. I usually have to call at least once a year regarding spiders and they come right away and do a treatment. I just saw a spider yesterday so I plan to call next week when we get back home from our camping trip, and I know that someone will come and take care of us right away.
