All i can say is thank goodness for them. This is a small family business and I would definitely recommend them. They provide transit and if you just need assistance getting in and out of your home they will do that also. They have the newest wheelchairs that can go up and down stairs, they have great gurneys too. The employees are so nice and knowledgeable. I spoke to the owner for a while. He had been in the medical field for a long time. He is very much invested in the wellbeing of his customers. His sons work with him also. They are paramedics. They even transport across states. They were on time and very professional. They treated my brother exceptionally well and my brother felt safe with their services. If anyone in my family needs non medical transport I will definitely call Affinity again. The service is not cheap but it's well worth the cost. read more

If it's non emergency, expect to pay $$ but this company was $85 cheaper than the company the rehab facility recommended, plus the scheduling operator was way more professional. My 85 yr old mother is not ambulatory and needed to get to her second story condo after discharge from a week long hospital stay. The hospital screwed up the pickup order so my mom was waiting hours to get home. Once I called Affinity directly, they immediately arranged for transport (on a very busy Friday night). The drive was from the west side to Pasadena and they arrived promptly. My mother was delighted with the 2 men who transported her and said the whole experience was comfortable and safe. I've had 2 rides with Affinity and below are my general thoughts: Punctuality - 2.5 stars. 1st trip: I paid $100 for Affinity because they could get my loved one home 2 hrs earlier. They ended up being 1.5 hrs late and refunded me only $25.00. I feel like they owe me $75.00. 2nd trip: no complaints, they were on time. People - 4.0 stars. Most importantly, the EMTs were great. They were able to get my loved one to their destination in 1 piece, they were careful not to cause any discomfort, and in general, it felt as if they cared. The support staff were also kind, especially Oscar. He took his time to explain and answer my many questions. Pricing - 3.0 stars. Fair ish. They were more expensive than other transit companies and had they been on time I would have accepeted the price no problem. Would I use them again - yes. My highest priority is to ensure the safety/comfort of the patient and I felt Affinity checked that box. read more

Never use this service. The car was a piece of crap and the driver took forever to get to our destination. Clearly they need better drivers. At one point o thought the car might fall apart right on the middle of the road. When it was time to get picked up the driver said call someone else I am an hour away. My father was in the hospital and has limited mobility due to chronic breathing issues. Getting him home from the hospital has always been a difficult and stressful experience. I found Affinity Transport through other positive reviews and asked for an online quote to transport him home which was very reasonable and back to me within 2 hours. Amazing customer service. My family and I ultimately decided to transport grandma ourselves, but we would have selected Affinity had we gone through with hiring a service. I used this transit service upon the recommendation of a friend. They were on time, and their employee was courteous, efficient, and right on time. However, once we called for pickup they refused to come and get my 96-year old father, a WWII veteran, because he had been tested for COVID19 while he was there. Not that he had the virus - which he did not - but that they had TESTED him for it. So, Dad and Mom sat out in the 101 degree heat for 2.5 hours waiting for a ride that never came. I went and picked them up myself, but I have no wheelchair lift in my car, so we had to lift him into the car ourselves. They refunded me $17.50 of my $86 charge. When I first booked the trip I felt that it was a bit of expensive service but unfortunately there were not many providers that were recommended. What a relief to find a company that could transport me home from surgery, and again for a round trip post-op visit. I had foot reconstruction surgery and just can't manage the stairs, so the really cool chair used to get me up and down was just amazing! They used a partially automated wheel chair to get me up and down the stairs, and a gurney for door to door transport. I was safely belted in, and really quite comfortable. I begin by saying I hope you never have to meet Tino and Josh, because if you do, it means you need their service. That said, if you need medical transport, I can't stress enough how much our family appreciate this father and son team. In short, after 5 hours, and two previous failed transport service attempts, Andre, a case manager at Saint Joseph's, called Tino and Josh (already home for the night) who agreed to suit up, drive from Santa Clarita to Burbank at 11PM to get our loved one home and in his own room. Longer story, our loved one had just been designated as a hospice patient and we wanted to get him home. The first transport service apparently was not BLS (Basic Life Support) certified and declined to "accept the patient" who required oxygen. Andre then helped secure another ambulance service. 2 hours later, our loved one was loaded into the transport, taken to his home less than 2 miles from the hospital. But when the drivers saw there were 10 steps to the entry, they returned to the hospital without contacting anyone or asking if there were an alternate entry, and negligently put our loved one back in the room. (I will not go further into the complaints to be issued with these two drivers as the focus is on the hero like actions of Tino and Josh.) Andre then called Affinity and as noted above, Tino and Josh arrived when they said they would, got our loved one home with the utmost professionalism, but also with a genuine warmth and kindness. Our loved one passed this morning, less than 48 hours after getting home. With our deepest gratitude, Thank You Tino and Josh for getting our loved one home. read more

Had called to schedule an appointment to take my mom to start chemo after recently getting surgery. The hospital used this company to do a courtesy drop off at home and I had first called to verify the address and then told the guy I wanted to set up an appointment to take my mom to another hospital to start treatment and get admitted. He said okay we can do pick up at 7:30. 7:30 comes around and now the guy says "we can't find your appointment. I remember you calling but can't find your appointment." Now my moms going to be in pain for the night and of course because they close at 8 they don't want to help. Bad service man. read more

First time I've had to use a transport service like this and it was a great experience. I scheduled transport to take my mom, who has dementia, to a doctors appointment. The drivers, Tino (aka, Juventino S. who I just found out owns the business) and Ricardo, were fantastic - very friendly and professional. They were on time and did a great job providing gurney service. My bed-bound mom can get anxious when being moved, but Tino and Ricardo did a great job keeping her relaxed while moving her from her second floor bedroom to their vehicle. You'd be better hiring someone off the street. We set up a transit for my father who needs a wheelchair. First off, I was quoted 3 different prices for the same services in the process of setting it up. I called Affinity to confirm the day before, and they charged the card. When they didn't show up at the appointed time, I called. Over the next 45 minutes I was told various stories by various dispatchers, including "20 more minutes," "just 10 more minutes." Finally I managed to get my father and the wheelchair in my own car and took him--he was an hour late and had to wait another hour at the doctor's because he missed his appt. Nearly an hour after they were due to arrive, a woman came from Affinity with a van, and was told we had left. She asked, "Oh what time was the pick-up?" So the confusion at Affinity is top to bottom. During this entire process, no one called us (altho they knew the driver was going to be very late), nor offered solutions nor refund. I called them, but they clearly didn't care that a customer was missing a needed health appointment due to their lack of concern, and they didn't bother notifying us--just left us to wait. One of the dispatchers, Irena, just said, "things happen." Indeed. I called the manager and should be getting a refund--we'll see. read more

I witnessed a wheel chair van arrive to pick up a patient and instead of coming inside to "pick up" the patient the driver stood out side his van for almost 30min and when the medical office staff asked why he didn't come in to get the patient, the driver responded with attitude saying "we do not come inside to get the patient... you must bring them to me at the van.".
