I came in after a pretty intense surgery--bicep tendon tear and scapula repair--and was honestly unsure of how long it would take to regain strength and mobility. Working with Danniel Fox completely changed my outlook. From day one, Danniel was not only knowledgeable, but incredibly attentive to the details of my recovery. He took the time to explain every step, adjust exercises based on how I was progressing, and made sure I was never pushing too hard or too little. He understood the balance between patience and challenge, and that made a huge difference. Sessions were structured, focused, and tailored to my needs--not just a checklist of standard moves. He tracked my progress closely and celebrated the small wins with me, which really kept me motivated. I started my visits for an old sports hip/knee injury which no doctor was really able to figure out, until one finally wrote me a PT recommendation. I have been seeing amazing improvement with Sam. They're extremely knowledgeable and I've learned a lot during my sessions. I used to have pretty bad balance, and my feet would hurt every time I went on longer walks. For some reason, those were things that I just kind of accepted for a long time, without even realizing it was all related. I feel no more pain, I am a lot less scared of stairs, hikes with uneven ground, split squats/unilateral exercises in general, and I'm slowly becoming able to run again. I used to be pretty athletic as a teen and that's how long I've had this injury. After all this time, I have been slowly trying to get back to being healthy, strong and mobile again, despite the pain. I finally switched my mindset from "I can't run/jump/etc so I'm not going to do it", to wanting to figure out why I had trouble with those things, so we could fix it. But I wouldn't have been able to make so much progress so quickly without Sam's expertise.

I came in weak and in pain, hoping to head off another hip replacement. I finished much stronger with improved balance and range - and with simple, effective exercises to work at home. I'm walking much better, even tackling stairs and distance better. I've done PT several times (hip, knee, shoulders, back) over the past 5-6 years (some pre and post surgeries, some arthritis help) in Orange County. My experience at Aspire in Glendale was far superior! Here's the thing: it's a good, strong business and run very well. From first visit and front desk scheduling thru dozens of sessions - it's no nonsense. Things start and end on time. Sessions were tailored to "how I'm doing that day" - and where I need to go next. Robert is a wonderful, very professional health care expert - and stays super engaged throughout the whole process. He keeps it positive and keeps it fun. They're a wonderful group that works with the non-verbal, deaf, blind, those with autism, cerebral palsy and even veterans returning home from the war suffering from PTSD. I've been a fan and supporter of this program, lending them my horse to use when they needed an equine that could carry a heavier load. I've also taken numerous horseback riding lesson with lead trainer Karen Jacobsen after a very bad riding accident. She not only help me regain my confidence in my horse, but also in my physical ability to ride again. Living in Burbank, it only takes about 30 minutes to get there and the facilities are great. A year ago my neck was hurting, I couldn't run 1/4 mile comfortably and I started having trouble…read moresleeping. I was strong and flexible, easily lifting weights and doing most sports. Exercise was like breathing for me. I didn't want to give it up. In fact, I wanted to do more. I had seen a chiropractor on-and-off for 20 years, received massages and acupuncture. The aches would subside but reoccur not too long afterwards. A body-builder friend referred me to Kirk Albert. The relief began immediately. Kirk's manipulation of my muscles along with the stretches and exercises he gave me for homework handled the exact muscles that were causing me trouble. It wasn't over night, but the results were lasting and cumulative. Today I'm 54 years old, train for triathlons, lift weights, am more flexible and breathe easier than twenty years ago. I didn't think it was possible for me to ever have this level of activity again. Kirk has also worked on my son and daughter who play rugby, my 92-year-old mother who wants more balance for her daily walks and my 65-year-old sister who enjoys hiking.
