Their customer service sucks and they lie. I canceled my plan and the bill was paid and an email was received confirming. I also spoke about the phone being lost and they guy waved the fee. A month later I receive a bill and my account was active. I called and asked it to be canceled again and they told me I had to pay the $100 phone fee. They have no idea what they are doing. Do not purchase a phone plan through this company. They will continue to charge you long after you cancel. I've been calling them for 3 months because they have been billing my elderly mother's charge card even though I canceled 3 months ago. This company is horrible!! They lie to you and say the phone is free and you don't have to pay a bill for 2 months. Not true. We had the phone for 2 days, literally 2 days and not only received a bill in 2 days, but the $50 credit they claim will result in no bill for 2 months is not true as they add all these other charges that they never mentioned during the initial sales pitch. We called three times to be sure of the monthly rate before signing for this service and 3 different people gave us the same monthly fee but the bill is showing something completely different and has an amount due. This is a ripoff to elderly people who are on a fixed income and only need something for emergencies. Then you try to contact them on the phone and they want you to email your concern. I received a free service from Affinity Cellular due to my income, This was over a year ago. The other day I tried to turn on my phone and I heard a voice telling me to call a number. The representative from Affinity told me that the company was no longer in the program where I get free service and this is why my phone was cut off. Then, I get a bill from Affinity in the mail telling me I owe $22.00 since they had discontinued this "Free" service in May. I was not notified of this change,. They claim they sent me an email and a telephone message. I looked on my phone and my computer and can not find any evidence of this. I asked them to send me documentation of these contact they claimed they delivered to me, They will not send me documentation and said they are now going to give my name to the collection agency. They have spend more on time with me than what money they are asking for. My doctor suggested I get the phone. I have seizures and would have a way to get help if I had the phone. Affinity I believe is untruthful and need to give more training their staff. I do not believe anyone contacted me. read more

I am a customer of Affinity Cellular for several years and I find their customer service to be "excellent". They do need to upgrade their phones. They have outdated phones. Small screens with old operating systems. I was planning to leave them for a different company because of their lackluster selection of phones but because of their excellent customer service I stick with them. I find their service to be very good. No dropped calls. Voice quality is good also. Please get better phones and better phone selections! read more

my aarp magazine showed these guys less than my current provider, free phone and $50 credit. scammers through and through...their own phone person said as much. when i questioned my "checkout" of the plan and phone, phone charges show up...not free phone. "oh, there's a deposit on any phone from us, you get it back in 6-12 months !!!??? folks, that's not free...i'm filing a better business bureau complaint for all to see. stay away from these pathetic specimens...scam job, people !! read more

This is a very disorganized company. We got my uncle a phone in November, he passed away before the phone even arrived. Once I got it I cancelled the service and returned the phone. They reimbursed everything but shipping which I was okay with. Then, we continued to receive bills for the service for a phone that we didn't even have. Each time we got a bill I called and was assured it was taken care of. Then we received a Collection Notice with no contact information on it. I guess they just expect you to pay. The annoying thing here is that in January they credited me for everything and now I'm getting harassed for an amount that they paid me back saying I didn't owe! BEWARE - I can't testify to the phone service, but the Customer Service is really bad. read more

Their website says 100% service in my zipcode - but I get 2 bars most of the time - so they lied. There were no instructions with the phone, not even how to insert the battery, but a little booklet that said the manual for the phone is on their website. It's not. I found 5 phone manuals, but none for the phone they send me. So they lied. They say $10/month for the service and the phone is free - but they're charging me $13/month. So they lied.
