This company scheduled with me to deliver my new refrigerator. 7 minutes before their anticipated arrival window they called to tell me they would not be coming because it's raining. Mind you, it's not raining at my house. They said they would schedule me for next week. I complained that I had already talked the day off from work and it probably won't rain all day and he said he would just send the product back. The owner Jim Fenick used a credit card that was stolen to purchase from our company. He took delivery of an Appliance Hand Truck that he bought using a stolen credit card. I called him and brought this to his attention. He said he had no idea what I was talking about. But he was using the hand truck. I asked if he was willing to purchase the hand truck and he wasn't sure. Then I called him back to resolve the issue. He said I can come get the hand truck. I asked him was he using it. He said yes. I said well we can't take back used product. He didn't care... then threatened me with violence saying that he would kick my f-ing ass. Do not do business with this company. Refrigerator ice maker quit and service tech from another company came. He thought he knew what the problem was and he ordered a part. A week goes by and the refrigerator is getting warm. Part comes in and problem is still there. This went on for 4 weeks! Problem was taken over by Affiliated Appliance and Jim came in. He spent about 20 minutes diagnosing the problem and told us the compressor was the problem. Part ordered and installed and we finally have a refrigerator that works! I HIGHLY recommend Jim from Affiliated Appliance. I live in RI and have an 8 day old Newborn. Our Kitchenaid refrigerator stopped working and I thought I knew the correct part to purchase from Jim to repair it ourselves. Jim walked us through the diagnostics and then the repair over the phone in less then 10 minutes and refused to take any compensation. Terrible customer service! Jim is rude and hung up me. Took 7 months to get a switch for a microwave warranty repair. Calls and said his tech is on the way. Tech went to wrong house. Never called us to try figure out what happened so left without even finding the house. Tech shows up a week later (day before thanksgiving) and proceeds to fry the mother board for the microwave/ oven combo. Leaves saying he has to order the part and wants me to "have a nice day"! No oven or microwave for Thanksgiving and I can't even get an eta on parts much less repairs. Then when my builder does his job and tries getting answers for me he gets screamed at by Jim and hung up on. Then Jim calls back to yell some more I asked the builder to conference us together in the hopes we can get it resolved and this guy hangs up on me when I try and speak to him about the issues. Terrible customer service, terrible repair service and terrible attitude. Best news I got today was that my builder hired another service for the warranty repairs. Worst customer service! I took off work to have them come and fix my refrigerator- he came - diagnosed the issue and say he would order the part- the whole time he is there working he is on his phone helping other technicians - should be in a week to get the part- a week and half later the part came in- a technician from the business came out to put the part in- but it was not the correct part- maybe if the owner was not on the phone the whole time he would of ordered the correct part to begin with- now I get to edit another week for a new company to look at the fridge and go this all over again! Like almost all of these reviews, we received terrible service from Jim. Started out friendly enough, but after a month of waiting on the part and no update visible on the warranty company site I reached out to check the status of the order. I was assured it was ordered. After another month, I had the warranty company look into it. Wouldn't you know? No order had been made or attempt to get it approved through the warranty company. If I could give Affiliated Appliance Inc. a -5 stars, I would. All of the bad reviews are warranted and they only have a C+ rating with the BBB!!! I called Sears Warranty Center to schedule a repair on my Kenmore Laundry Center, which has an extended warranty plan. The repair was scheduled with Jim for today, 07/23/2020 but Nick came instead. He walked in carrying a yellow testing meter and asked me what was wrong with the washer. I told him it that it was the dryer that needed to be repaired because it was making a squeaking nose. He tried to turn on the dryer but did not know how, so I started it for him. I told him that it didn't squeak all of the time and he asked me if it happened when clothes were drying and I said yes. He did not hear the noise but he told me he knew exactly what the problem was without even looking at the dryer or hearing the noise. He said it was the pulley system and that he would order the part and come back to install it. I asked him how he knew the pulley was the problem without even looking at the dryer. He said that it was a common problem and then proceeded to open the dryer and take a picture of the serial number. He then said that he would be back to put they pulley in. I told him that it was fine to order the part, but that I was going to call Sears. Nick was at my house for approximately five minutes. Right after he left, I called Sears and filed a complaint about the service. As part of the complaint process, the Customer Service Agent that was helping me called Affiliated Appliance Inc. and was told by the person that she spoke with that they would not work on the dryer because a squeaking noise is not covered by my 5-year extended warranty plan (not true) and that I would need to take a video of the noise to send to them because they could not work on the dryer without "hearing" the noise, even though Nick ordered a part without hearing the noise or checking the dryer. After spending nearly two hours on the phone, the service ticket is going to be closed and I will need to call Sears Warranty Center again in two days to schedule a repair but it will be with a different company. At this point, I am extremely disappointed in Sears and I cannot believe that they would use a company like this to represent them! Bottom line, if you want an appliance repair company that is competent and honest, DO NOT use Affiliated Appliance Inc. read more

Would give this company negative stars if possible. Technician (Nick) came to repair my dishwasher, and after I payed him a $125 fee for a service call, he told me I needed a $96 wire harness and assured me that was all I needed. I agreed to purchase the part and when he came back and installed it, he then told me that I would also need a new motor for the sump assembly ($230). I reluctantly agreed to the additional repair because I was already more than $200 in the hole at this point. After he worked on the machine, the soap dispenser miraculously quit working (what a coincidence). When I called "Jim" to complain that I was now $430 in the hole and the dishwasher still was not working properly, he then told me that he did not like where the conversation was going and hung up on me. This has been the worst appliance repair experience I have ever had. They were selected by LG and focused more on installing the part than assuring that the washer was fixed. After two failed attempts and refusing to remain at my house through the entire 22 minute wash cycle, they arranged a 3rd appointment, arrived 45 minutes early and didn't have enough time to stay until I got home. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They REALLY were that bad. Sears Home Warranty sent them out almost 3 weeks ago. I called Sears the next day to find out the status of the claim. It hadn't been sent in...said they had 48 business hours to fax it in. Called back a week later. Still no claim. Asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold. "Manager" refused to take the call but had girl "reach out" to Affiliated. Affiliated insisted the parts were ordered the day after the appointment. Today, almost 3 weeks later, we discover the parts were never ordered and the repair claim was never faxed to Sears Home Warranty. Have to start over after 3 WEEKS of having to go to the laundromat at $60 per week. They suck!! read more

I would also give this company ZERO stars if I could. It has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with Jim and affiliated appliance. He keeps telling me day after day that he will have "his girl" check on the status of our repair and call me right back and he NEVER ONCE has called me back. Now he won't even answer my calls and it has been nearly three weeks. However if we call him on a different number somehow he answers but still no time frame, only "I'll try to get it done" or "let me call you back". Meanwhile, I've spent so much time and money at the laundromat washing clothes when all I want is an answer, or a time frame or something. Now Jim has finally contacted us telling us that he can't find the part. I understand that parts take time to be ordered but this has gone over the time he has stated. He is now threatening us and telling us that no one will every do business with us ever again because of my bad Yelp review. Fortunately, we have a new company out here right now, happy to do business with us and already has the part!!!! I can finally do laundry. We have already contacted the BBB, and our warranty company has stated that they will not be sending their business to affiliated appliance anymore as well. What a nightmare. read more

I want to update my May 20th review of this poorly run business if you can call it that. Today, I placed a call to Maytag to get an update on my outstanding repair order that began 4/13/2017. They called Affiliated App. and was told by Jim that he was out of the office and that I should call him this afternoon for an update. After I expressed my displeasure again with process, Maytag calls Jim and now he reports that I was rude to him (when he is the one who was rude to me) and they need to assign to another service provider. I told Maytag, that will not work because now I have had to replace my refrigerator because of the continual leak that was causing a health issue and damage to my woodwork in my kitchen. I have asked the Clalms dept for compensation for their incompetent handling of this issue and putting such an incompetent unprofession rude individual as Jim at Affiliated Appliance in Lewisville TX.
