I gave 1 star only because the nurse was so kind. She deserves a better place of employment. The front desk young woman treated me so rudely. I was ready to pass out from fever and massive headache. Already spent 2 hours yet I was respectful and polite while I waited with the flu. Until time to check out. The girl at the front desk was bothered by me standing at the counter and told me to have a seat. I said, I'm checking out and she said, have a seat. I took the seat but didn't understand why. I said I'm trying to check out. She ignored me and began assisting someone else. After 10 minutes I stood up aggravated and asked why are you making me sit here? She tried telling me this woman was first. She had my credit card and id in her hand and asked me what my name was. Now I lost it and started yelling that I just wanted to go home. Why are you doing this to me!? Then the Dr came out and I explained the situation and she said it looks like you don't have a copay so you can go. I said to the girl, then why did you make me have a seat when you knew I was trying to leave!?? She said stared at me. No apology or explanation from anyone Wow so disheartening that this is what is being hired to assist sick people. read more

I have been to this urgent care often, and have decided NEVER to go again. I have previously had great experiences here, but my most recent visit (with a reservation) was accompanied by a 2 HOUR WAIT. Not only is this completely unprofessional, but it is also rude and misleading, as I had a 2:00 reservation, and was left to wait until 4:00. Unacceptable, unprofessional, rude, misleading, RIDICULOUSLY late, doctor made a brief apology explaining she is both a doctor, and x-ray technician, and has to attend to both of these responsibilities. What seems likely is that the staff is stretched thin, the doctor is overworked, and a bad system is in place for dealing with patients. In my opinion, Urgent Care AFC Paramus either needs to shit down, or hire more staff. Overall, experience was fraught with disappointment and frustration. read more

The receptionist told me that the staff was locked out of the supply closet, which pre-empted them from seeing me. No one on duty had the key. To my inquiry about when someone with a key was coming, I received a shoulder shrug. When I asked if I could come back tomorrow (Sunday), I was told that the supply closet might still be inaccessible. I sacrastically inquired, "Will your supply closet remain inacessible forever and ever?". Their response was that come Monday the person with the key should (hopefully) return. I made an appointment on line confirmed at 12:31. It's now 2:01 and someone who signed in after me is in with the doctor. During my wait I asked for a receipt, Incase my insurance needed. The girl at the desk just made me stand there for like 5 minutes. Then I asked " do you know how to do it". She replied no.... She should have told me that she will have someone get that for me before I leave the office. She should not be working in the health care field or just really be properly trained. Also it seems that there is only 1 doctor working. I got that information AFTER I paid my copay. For anyone that is feeling Ill, go where they value you I do not feel valued at all. Made an appointment here because they indicated online that they had an X-ray machine. Discovered after checkin that they didn't have a tech available for the machine. After waiting over an hour to see a doctor, I walked out and requested a refund. I understand long waits ' it happens. What I don't excuse is poor communication from a medical services office. Communicate the hours for your X-ray machine. Communicate when you're running late - how long? This goes a long way. STAY AWAY. VERY BAD PLACE TO GO TO! They are friendly, But lab test are not accurate and they are not honest about it. One day i didn't feel good and went to urgent care to get checked. After about 2.5 hours of checking (most of it just waiting by myself in a closed room) they said i'm fine and they are just waiting for the blood results and will let me go. After they got the results they said my blood test are off the charts as i have no potassium in my body (a person can not be alive without potassium) and the sodium level is 159 so i need to get to the hospital "NOW" "your condition is potentially life threatening" and wanted me to go with the ambulance which i refused. After a lot of stress and almost getting an heart attack, i got to the hospital, while getting tested i sent the urgent care results to my brother who is a doctor and right away he said the results are not possible as they are not compatible with someone that is still alive. At the hospital i got to talk with the cardiologist that said i'm perfectly fine and very healthy and also said the same thing as my brother "you can't be alive if this was your actual results" and she didn't understand why didn't they re-tested As every real Doctor would have said the same thing. Once getting the hospital bills i called the urgent care and asked them to pay the bill (About $1,400), As their inaccurate lab is the only reason i spent a whole day at the hospital. They said they will get back to me. And after a week said they didn't send me to the hospital because of the blood test, They did it because i had chest pain and dizziness (not true) They were about to send me home before the blood test came back. And if it is true, and the reason they sent me to the hospital was because they were thinking i might get an hart attack, why did they keep me there for 2.5 hours (some it me with out being watched in a closed room for over an hour) instead of sending me to the hospital right away?! I did say i had chest pain and dizziness as soon i walked in, so they were going to send me to the hospital anyway, they should have done it right away. Instead i waited 45 minutes in the waiting room, then waited in the room for a nurse a very long time, after that waiting an hour to see a doctor, and waiting more for tests and test result just to be sent to the hospital that apparently they were going to do any way. read more

COVID test done 12/23. Haven't heard results. Cancelled a planned trip. Today is 12/28. I tried calling and the machine says leave a message, but you can't. I ended up going somewhere else for PCR test and they will send results tomorrow. My daughter went there and yes, the next day she got results. I would not recommend at all. read more

Took my infant son here with a nasty cold and 104degree fever. After waiting 2hours, spending $50, the doctor briefly looked at his ears, and dismissed it as a common cold. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!! I don't care how sick i am or hurt i am. Sooo i left work early because i have a really bad lower back pain. I don't know if its a badly pulled muscle or a herniated disc (last march i had a herniated disc in my lower back and neck). Sooo i made a dr appt but its for tues morning. I arrived to the place at 5pm. There were 4 people in front of me and i waited approx 57 mins. when i left the room looked full. At least 10 people but we'll get to that later. So much for "Urgent" care. I saw a woman and a man that were opening the door calling people's names and letting the people out. Right away i knew something was off. How? They didn't look people friendly. No hello and no smile. They looked miserable working there so immediately i had a bad vibe but whatever im in pain. Finally my name was called and i went into the room. The lady took my blood pressure and asked me like 6 questions or so. Then they took me to a little kids room. I kid you not! I waited 30 more mins!! I had enough. My back was hurting and i just felt really uncomfortable. So i opened the door and asked the fake ass nurse what's taking so long? She goes the dr is with a patient now. Its gonna be a little while. I said do you know how much longer? She goes. A while longer. I said no. Im leaving. So as i opened the door i saw a bunch of people waiting. I said "Don't even waste your time people! You wait an hour in a half and the doctor can't even see you". *drops mic* read more

This place is unbelievable. I DO NOT recommend coming here as the staff are both deceitful and wildly unhelpful. Please read my appeal below and rest assured that this is not the place you want to come with a medical issue: On 12/27/12, I went to see Dr. Borkowski at DRX Paramus when I came down with the flu. At the same time, I asked him to examine a fairly large mass that had formed on my neck. He advised me to put a warm compress on it for a few weeks. If I didn't notice a decrease in size, I was told to come in to have it removed. A couple of days before returning to his office on 03/26/13, I called to make an appointment for the surgery with the receptionist. I explained that I was coming in to have the mass removed from my neck. I asked if the surgery would be performed there and whether or not it would be a same-day procedure. SHE CONFIRMED THAT THE SURGERY WOULD BE PERFORMED THERE IN THE OFFICE AND THAT I WOULD BE IN AND OUT IN THE SAME DAY! When I arrived at the office, Dr. Borkowski informed me that no surgeries are performed at DRX Paramus. Instead, I was given a list of general surgeons in my area and a $45 bill several weeks later. I very politely tried to resolve the issue with their billing office and they said, because of THEIR error, that they would reduce my bill, but not waive it. Clearly, they knew they were in the wrong. I would have never gone to the office had I not been misled into thinking that the surgery would be performed there. I would have gotten my own list of general surgeons from my insurance company. I was lied to. They led me there under false pretenses and are claiming $150 ($45 from me) for services that were not rendered. I walked in for a surgery, but walked out with a piece of paper. They lied in order to get me to come in so that they could charge me and my insurance for an office visit. Total crooks. I honestly can't believe they sent my bill into collections. I have no time or patience to dispute $45. Normally, I would give them the money and get it over with, but this is an insane way to treat your patients. I will not be taken advantage of. I was in this office 2 weeks ago for sinus pressure and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. For the first time in my life, I was prescribed prednisone. After 2.5 weeks I returned because I was not feeling any better and I developed white spots in the back of my throat. The doctor told me this is common when people eat too much white bread. I thought he was joking at first. I asked him if he thought I had an URI and he shook his head. I asked what to do to treat my symptoms and my discharge notes went on to explain how to treat a sore throat, however, I never had a sore throat as a symptom. read more

This is my second visit to this location. My first visit was quick, generally professional, and as friendly as a 24 hour clinic can be. They got me checked out and out the door quick. This second visit hasn't been as good. I got scheduled after 4 other people that were walk-ins after me since they "missed" my form. When your business model is generally first-in-first-out, that's a problem, and one of the reasons I'm deducting stars. It turned a 15 minute wait into 45. The second reason I took off stars is that when I brought the issue up to make sure I got scheduled, I was given "Just wait" instead of "Sorry, your wait shouldn't bee too much longer." That's a generalization of the conversation, but the intent is the same. Otherwise, it gets the job done. read more

Had the worst experience. I needed splinter removed. The doctor walked out of the room twice during procedue to get missing tools she forgot to prepare in advance. did she change gloves? No. Finally she walked out and left me without any further instructions. She had no idea if she took the splinter out and sent me to hand surgeon. I had unbearable pain in her room when I was sitting there alone and nobody cared. No pain medication was provided. BEST doctors express ever. I was a little nervous with the reviews I saw on here, but I'm so glad I didn't listen. I only come here when my primary is closed (early mornings, late evenings or weekends). I get sore throats that lead to strep or a cold all the time, so I like to take care of it the minute I feel it coming on. I went once and what I love about them is how they do a full CHECK of you. They take your blood and test it, swab your throat. They really cancel out any problems. Well, they said I had a cold and gave me some tips and sent me on my way. I felt better for 2 days when I suddenly woke up on a Saturday and I could hardly breath! I went back in so much pain, took me right in, tested my blood again and immediately came in, gave me pain medication (in which they explained I had a light cold, which must have taken down my immune system and since I work in a children's hospital - I ended up with an insane non-contagious-like form of strep), a steroid shot and tons of medication. They gave me an entire packet on what to take, when and how to take it and ways to help at home. The doctor was so sweet, asking how much pain I was in and truly you could tell was worried. I even received a follow up call a week later- DURING Christmas week! If it weren't for them, I would have been sick for the holidays. They helped me even more a couple of weeks later. Went in because I kept going to my primary because of a lump near my neck gland that I was worried about- he kept telling me I was getting a cold. So I shot over here to ask their docs and he immediately told me to get a script from my primary and see an ENT A.S.A.P. I ended up having a crystallized stone in my saliva gland that was so big that they had to surgically remove my entire salivary gland before too much pain kicked in. Basically - I would have been in agonizing pain in a couple of weeks if it weren't for this small doctor's express next to my town's pizza place. Thank you guys! read more
