Have used AFC urgent Care Centennial numerous times. From the time they opened Hawaii to testing, AFC was one of the first that was approved. As a commuter to Honolulu to be a care giver of my 97 year old Mom, I truly have been respectful of the guidelines of the State of Hawaii. During these crazy un precedented times, I truly appreciate the efficiency of this AFC. This place is great! I think I even prefer them over my regular PCP's office. I was able to make an appointment for my son on a weekend morning. I wrote a little message securing his appointment about the details of his sickness. Went in and had to fill out the required paperwork and shortly after the paperwork was turned in, we were seen by the doctor. The doctor had read my message when I booked the appointment on-line, so he had a little "heads up" and it was nice to know that they actually read those messages. The doctor listened to us, did a thorough exam (in my humble opinion) and explained my son's issues and what he recommended for us. The clinic is very very clean. The staff, reception and the physician were all helpful and friendly. I even got a call 24 hours later from the clinic asking how my son was doing and if I had any current concerns. I would highly recommend this clinic. With my health insurance, I know it costs a little more for an Urgent Care visit than for a PCP visit, but in my opinion it's worth it. If possible, I would recommend making a quick appointment on-line first and leave a brief message about your issue(s). read more

I feel quite lucky to have come cross this Doctors Express location. I tried to get in touch with a specialist, but no appts were available for over a week so off to urgent care I went. The front desk staff was extremely courteous and I observed above and beyond courtesy to others there. Everyone was attentive and I never felt rushed. Dr. Skomrock made sure to take the time to explain my condition, treatment, what to expect next, and called in my prescription to the pharmacy (it was waiting by the time I got there). I spent more time talking with him about what was going on than I did in the waiting room - gotta admit, it's usually the other way round. I hope I don't fall ill anytime soon, but if I should, I would head here first. FYI - Use the website to fill out the patient form and check their wait time. read more

Went in today as my insurance told me this was an in network provider, while filling out my documents I was told that they couldn't take me in due to my card saying something about concentra, even though my coverage is through UHC. They didn't really explain why just told me they couldn't take me in due to concentra, even though I don't have concentra! Quick, clean, and painless. However, I want more from an urgent care facility. Once I got in to see the doctor they recommended three different medications. I did have mild strep and an eye infection, so I took prescriptions for two. They also suggested allergy meds but I figure it's probably best to let the first two meds run their course before assuming I have allergies, no? Also, he only tested for strep after I requested it. Great experience, extremely professional. We went for our Immigration Medical exam and the whole experience was hassle free. Jenni was an absolute star, guiding us through the whole process in a professional yet personable manner. Her manner makes you feel really comfortable and at ease in what is usually a stressful situation. While it may be a little bit more expensive than seeing a normal doctor, the absolute convenience, friendliness and availability makes it worthwhile. We will definitely be back! read more

As a healthcare professional myself, I would NOT recommend AFC Urgent Care to my worst enemy. Rushed MA's, degrading physicians who do not take the time to listen and an environment that was unsafe. I recently went to AFC Urgent Care Centennial for a possible broken wrist. The front desk staff was fantastic and offered to help filling out forms and even got me ice. However, once I was taken back to a room my care was below par. The MA that took my vitals and got me checked in rushed through my vitals and admission assessment. He did not have any compassion for my injury or even bothered to verify my name and date of birth. He placed the blood pressure cuff on my arm and when the numbers were high, rather than retrying in my other arm or repositioning the cuff, he went on a rant about how I was "too young" to have high blood pressure. I kindly explained that I was in pain, nervous and have never had high blood pressure in the past. When the physician, Dr. Muench came in, he did not shake my hand or even look me in the eyes. He sat down and started barking questions about my medical history that were not pertinent to my visit. He rushed his assessment and did not have any patience to even let me explain what had happened. He was short, rude and I did not care for his degrading tone of voice. While in the room, I noticed the sharps box on the wall had a place for a key to keep the box securely attached to the wall. The key had been left in the lock and anyone seeking needles would have easily been able to gain access to the box and shake a needle or two out. That is not only a health department violation but a big public health safety risk. After a long frustrating visit, I would NOT recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone I truly cared about. read more

I went in because I was sick and felt I needed a Covid test. Everyone was so helpful and answered all my questions. I didn't have to wait long and got my results (luckily negative) in 2 days. the people at this location are definitely the ones you want taking care of you. the front staff are professional, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. the medical professionals are as well, and i would add thorough and caring. the PA i saw came up with a solution for a problem within my symptoms that i didn't realize could be treated separately. she ran and ordered as many tests as were possible, let alone available. she talked to me to get the whole story and her gentle but confident and professional presence were just what i needed when i thought i had some seriously bad stuff going on. i left feeling assured that that was not true and with a solution to a problem i didnt realize could be fixed. you can feel good going here; youre in good hands. read more

After getting a dog bite my wife went to this urgent care office and was put into an examination room where she waited until she had to open the door to remind them she was there. That was an hour or so. She paid her deductible and left. Later we were billed for a tetanus shot. They did not inform us that we should go to a pharmacy for that shot to be covered on our insurance. With so many other urgent care offices available we will go to a more reputable one if and when necessary. read more

I Made call ahead appointment (wait at home) at 9:30am for 11:00 am. Was still waiting at noon. They are telling people that arrive that the wait time is an hour an a half. Technically I've been waiting for two and half hours now. Signing into the site to make an appointment is a waste of time and a ploy to collect your email. If I had just come in at 9:30 instead of using the wait at home, I would be out of here by now. Also, if there is a need to take patients as a priority -- they should be at the ER not urgent care. read more

We were visiting Colorado from out of state and My wife Crystal developed a UTI. I googled nearest Urgent Care from our hotel and this one showed up with great reviews! Been to AFC three times. The reception staff is great and I've gone after work and always have gotten in quickly. The receptionist is a sweetheart even though I'm a grouch about filling out paperwork! Each time they have been great. the nurses are great and the doctors listen and are thorough. Tonight l had to get a cortisone shot in my hip and the nurse was amazing! I didn't even feel it. This has literally become the place I go to when I'm sick. My co pay is less for urgent care then my primary doc and so far these care providers listen and offer great advice to help with healing along with the antibiotics ie vitamin water and probiotics. I had a medical issue that was very painful and made it hard to sit and work all day. Instead of making the drive all the way to my primary care physician, I thought I'd give Doctor's Express a try for the procedure to get rid of the pain, instead of trying to make an appointment at my PCP. I was very pleased with my experience. The first visit went quickly, as I was the only one there on a weekday afternoon, and the staff was very friendly. On my follow-up visit, there were about five people there, but I was still seen within ten minutes. The two doctors that I saw over my two visits talked in very straightforward terms, and helped me to understand what was going on, and why it was going on. They took the time to answer all my questions, and were very cognizant of my pain, and worked to ease it the best they could. I also appreciated being given several printouts containing information about my condition, and treatment I could do at home. I will look to use them again in the future, as it's typically hard to make an appointment at my doctor's office, and the care I received was efficient and effective. read more

They offer services on their site that they claim they can't accommodate when you get there. Well the terribly rude and unhelpful person at the front desk said they didn't offer the service. I had paperwork for a physical that was supposed to be filled out by a M.D. Or D.O. So not sure if she didn't read the paper work and just felt like being unhelpful or if they don't have an M.D. That works there. The first thing she said to me when reading my paperwork was insurance doesn't cover this. Umm ok. Thanks, didn't ask about that. It's 2017, the company should either keep their site updated, or if they are going to waste people's time by not keeping their site updated, at least have someone pleasant there to let them know their time is wasted. read more

Terrible! Stopped in on Memorial Day at 4:00 PM and they had a paper sign stating they were closing at 4 due to holiday. My mother had cut her leg and needed stiches. We stood at the door, her with blood all over and the two people inside just pointed at the sign. If you run an emergency clinic, you do not close earlier than posted hours!!! The ladies at the check-in desk are very rude. I came in for a pre-employment drug test. When I walked up to the desk to check in, I told the lady why I was there and she replied, "I thought that's why you were here." Excuse me, do I look like a person who uses drugs in my scrubs? Then I was notified there wait time was 2 hours. I asked if I could use the restroom before I waited the 2 hours and the woman snapped very sharply back at me saying no because this is for a drug test. I said, "if I'm waiting 2 hours of like to be comfortable." I was refused the restroom before I had even signed in. By the way once you sign in for a drug test you're not allowed to leave or use the restroom or it's considered an automatic failure. My wait on Friday evening was shorter than expected and I was communicated with while I waited so I understood the wait time and what the process would be. It was easy and when I was seen everyone made me feel welcome and important. No one was rushing to get to the next patient. They listened and showed gereral concern for my condition. Most recent visit there was for treatment of a cellulitis on my arm secondary to a yellow jacket sting. I only had to wait about 10" until I saw the Dr. All members of the staff were respectful, kind and courteous. It is a blessing to have this clinic so close to our home. Because my PC was out of town, I went to AFC Urgent Care on Arapahoe Road, Centennial. I was pleased with the professionalism of the staff and Dr. Muench who was very thorough and easy to talk to. He also recommended follow up care with my doctor. The clinic was very busy and I had to wait some time to see the doctor, but the nurses checked on me ,even offered bottled water! How many other times have I waited about the same length of time at other physicians' exam rooms with no contact? My prescription was sent ahead to my pharmacy, which was convenient. In town on vacation when my wife developed a fever and swelling in her abdomen. Went in to this location and were seen quickly. I never go to the doctors un less I'm really sick and can't fix it myself. I'm from out of town on business and went to AFC for some answers. Nowhere on their website does it say it doesn't accept out of town insurance or Obama care. Shaking and ready to faint I filled out all the nessesary paper work and gave it to the make nurse at the desk. I sat down and started to relax as he shouted out into the waiting g roo. That he doesn't take illuminate and I needed to pay 150 cash only. I was so embarressed and didn't have the 150 on cash I never carry that much cash. So in tears and shaking I left and as I walked out the door he said good luck finding a clinic that takes illinicare. SHOCKED! read more

This is a great facility with a professional, personable, knowledgable staff. My regular physician didn't have an opening today so I came to AFC Urgent Care. Tammi greeted us and efficiently took care of all our paper work. There was only one page of information to fill out, unlike many other practices that require many pages of disclaimers and releases. Kelly did the initial evaluation. He is friendly, pleasant and nice. He kept on checking on us and informed us of the Dr.'s progress. Bibet was on staff too. Then Dr. Tamaren diagnosed my problem. She is warm, genuine, soft-spoken, knowledgeable, and thorough. If she had a private practice, I would see her exclusively. Great office, wonderful staff. read more

I sprained my ankle really bad during the week and needed to get it checked out to ensure I didn't break something. I came in at just after 8am on a Wednesday and was out by 9, which was quite stunning really. I had to come in a few weeks later to have it checked again, and although it took a little longer, it was still pretty fast. The staff was very friendly and helpful, while the two doctors I saw were quite knowledgeable about what was likely wrong with my ankle. They each took the time to fully explain what was going on, and also kept costs in mind. Should I again need quick and convenient care in the DTC, I'll be sure to come back to Doctors Express. read more
