I've never had an EKG before, and the nurse who administered it was communicative and reassuring throughout the procedure. Dr. Downing arrived soon after to go through the evaluation. However, after the experience first hand, I believe this is an outstanding approach and much different from the model where they task doctors to see hundreds of patients and charge as much as possible. This membership model is affordable, but more so my new Primary Care Doctor at Family Tree Primary Care took time to go over all my concerns as well as what she wanted to go over too in great detail. I did not feel rushed and I did not feel like another number. Everything was clearly explained and the discounts for a wide variety of services ranging from bloodwork to scanning, medications to other tests are outstanding. I believe this model of patient engagement, connection and authentic concern for health and wellness is a great alternative to the popular and less effective primary care model that is out there. To me, this is the future of patient care, where a patient is cared for as the individual person.

The staff is sociable enough, but that doesn't make up for the wait times. Just to drop a urine sample, the wait was over twenty minutes. They keep the collection kits in the bathroom, we didn't even need to see a practitioner to drop the sample and still they kept my mother waiting until she was nearly ready to have an accident.

I made my innitial appointment in January and was told that he was booked until April so my appointment was made for April 18th at 3 pm. I just now get a call from his office telling me that Dr. Burrowes decided to take vacation and will not be in the office on the week of my appointment. Therefore they have to reschedule mine to another date. I was already upset because I had waited 3 months to see him and now he decides to take vacation - not like he has an emergency or a family issue. Add to that that now the next available appointment is not until JULY 18TH! I don't NEED a doctor... Thank God it was just an innitial intake and wellness checkup but if this is how he/his office run their business, why do I need a doctor that I cant' see when I need him but only when he has the time???
