Place is fine, seemed efficient. I'm having trouble with the medications prescribed to me by the nurse practitioner. (Note - physician is there only on Wednesdays, other days you get a NP or PA). I went with a cold, runny nose, and cough, which had lasted 4 days, and had a fever of 101.5 (per their thermometer, I did not feel feverish in the least, nor did I look it). Anyway, prescription was for CEFDINIR 300 mg (antibiotic) for 7 days, Benzonatate 100 mg (for cough. I asked why not Robitussin or DayQuil/NyQuil but she couldn't provide a reason), Desloratadine 5mg (for seasonal allergies, which I have never had in my life and which I wasn't even asked about), and Fluticasone Propionate (Nasal spray, which is a corticosteroid). My copay to the prescriptions - almost $60. (The last 2 were $25 each) I talked to the pharmacist and decided to not pick those 2 up. I'm no doctor but I didn't want to take medication for something I don't even have (seasonal allergies) nor a steroid. Seemed massive overkill to me. But here is the kicker - please Google CEFDINIR. The reviews are abysmal, overall rating 2.0, some much lower, and user after user describe their horror stories of awful side effects that persisted for months. Luckily, I read them before taking the first dose. I'm going to stay miles away and will see my primary on Monday - only went here coz it was the weekend. So Nurse Practitioner Maria, you're a very nice person but please explain why you prescribed CEFDINIR with its horrendous reviews (are you not aware of its side-effects and rating?) when perfectly good antibiotics that have been used for 50, 60 years are available? And why did you prescribe an antihistamine and a super expensive nasal spray when perfectly good ones are available off the shelf? And oh - the nurse who took my vitals, very nice young woman, could neither read nor pronounce the names of the regular medications I am on on a daily basis - she struggled and I said the names for her. I wish I had stayed at home and continued with Tylenol and DayQuil instead of wasting $45 on the clinic co-pay. Needless to say, I wouldn't be going there again. read more

Giving two stars, solely because the doctor was awesome with my son, otherwise, I was not impressed. Have been going here, myself, for random illnesses since they opened. Over time, service has gotten slower and slower, especially post-Covid. Anyways, I made an appointment at 8am yesterday, for 1:58pm to take my 2yo in for extreme congestion, and a suspected ear infection. Website said to arrive 10-15min early, yet as I pulled out my driveway at 1:45pm (4 min drive), I got a text saying they were 16 min behind (new appointment time: 2:13) Annoying, but no big deal. I get there and ask to wait in the car since my kid is little and I don't want him exposed to more than he needs to be. Front desk lady says ok and we'll message you when time. I go back to the car and wait until 230pm. At this point, we are 32 min past my original appointment time. As an adult, I'd be annoyed, but I'd deal, however, my 2yo son has skipped nap to be seen and is crying, so I go back inside. Nurse happens to be up front and is NOT happy I'm asking and makes that VERY clear. She even made a point to tell me "This is an Urgent Care" as if I had no idea. (It's important to note, this was midday and the place was practically empty). Anyways, we're finally seen around 240pm and Dr. Scherb was great. My son was very comfortable with her and loved her. Whatever she prescribed worked great, and now, only 24hrs later, he's on the mend. Just wish the support staff were a little more friendly and understanding. I don't want preferential treatment, but I'd think a screaming 2yo, half hour past his appointment time, isn't a reason to give an attitude. Just saying. read more

Our baby came down with a fever on Sunday which was also Christmas Eve and her pediatrician was closed. Made an appointment here after specifically checking that they would treat a patient that is 8 months old (see attached). Made the appointment at 9:15 am for an 11:15 am. After waking up a sick baby, packing her in the car, and on our way after 11 am, we get a call that the PA on staff today "doesn't see babies* and got directed to go somewhere else. At this point all of the other places that see infants had hours long waits and no available appointments. Had AFC's site contained the accurate information or the staff had called earlier we would have been able to get an appointment elsewhere. Instead we were put in an even more stressful situation than we were already in. Calling minutes before the appointment is completely unacceptable. Perhaps if your site indicates you treat 6 months and up, then your medical staff should be able to treat 6 months and up. Horrified. read more

My experience here was mostly fine, from reception to the nurse to the medical care. I did have to wait a fair amount. I was there about 75 minutes, from check-in to check-out. Dr. Silverberg was thorough, didn't talk down to me, and did everything I expected from a doctor. He's got the kindly, older doctor vibe, which I can appreciate. I wanted to like him. But in the middle of examining me, he asked if I'm of Chinese descent. Since he had just asked typical questions regarding my issue--and his hands were still on my body, examining me--I thought this might be medically relevant so I gave a complete answer. It was not medically relevant. This white man simply had the urge to tell me he has an Asian wife. Which is wonderful, I'm glad he found The One, and interracial relationships are beautiful and terrific. But the thing is, it's not cool to ask that question in the middle of an examination when it's not medically relevant all becausssse ... what? The patient kinda looks Chinese and you married a Chinese person? It was random and totally out of the blue. I really did not like having to deal with this when I'm sick and in pain. It's not fair. He mentioned his wife again right before I left, when all I wanted was just to get to the pharmacy, eat some antibiotics, and lie down. I understand perfectly that this is a generational thing, that older people don't think this is odd, that people make small talk and try to connect through commonalities. It's lovely when a doctor tries to do that. I don't want to be just a number. But I don't want to be just a Chinese-looking person either. I will not be coming back to this location. read more

I have been to this location two times in the past. both times I was told they couldn't help me that I need to see a medical specialist for a bad knee. Terrible experience. from the moment i "walked in". waited an hour 30 minutes in waiting room, then 45 minutes in exam room. Doctor prescribed Amoxicillin clavulanate potassium. Ive never had this before. Reaction after taking. Severe headache, nausea, diarrhea, swollen face. Called AFC and told then what happened and asked for a different antibiotic. I have to go be re evaluated in order to be considered for a new script. That means more money, more time, and more aggravation. They just want your money here. they don't care if your still sick, and what they gave you made you sicker!!! Its a shame because I dealt with DR Ehrlich for many years in Warren. I had fallen during an early morning run a couple days ago and there were concerns of the wounds on my hand and knee (possibly getting infected). I easily made appointment first thing this AM via their website which was very easy to do and the paperwork and IDs could be completed online as well. I was seen promptly, the staff was nice, and the x-Ray was quick as well (my pinky is still swollen so the MD wanted to x-Ray just in case). I was out in 45min. Fortunately everything turned out well. I had come here one time prior over a year ago for a sore throat and the service was great back then as well. read more

McDonald's must have been fully staffed, so I was treated to a litany of lame excuses by the counter checkin person as to why they were late processing my visit. They completely screwed me. I had to call out of work on Monday because of stomach issues. My employer said I need to get a negative Covid test to come back, fair enough. Monday morning I schedule a video conference with a doctor. When a woman from the office called first she explained I'd get a call with the results about 15 / 20 minutes after the test and they could also e-mail me results. I then had a video conference with a Doctor who specifically was talking about me returning a day after my Covid test to address the gastrointestinal issues. EVERY indication was given this was a rapid test with same day results. Today I go for my scheduled test at 4pm and am AGAIN told I will get a call shortly after. By 7:30 pm I've been calling for an hour straight, but it's an automated system that an actual person who works there DOES NOT answer. 8pm rolls around, 4 hours after my test and NO PHONE CALL. Now I have to miss ANOTHER day of work and find somewhere else to get the rapid test I WAS TOLD I WAS GETTING so I can at least go back to work the following day. So either they were WRONG explaining which test I'd be receiving or LIED about it. Either way, someone IS NOT DOING THEIR JOB which screws me out of being able to do my job. Let me emphasize, I was told 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE by an office worker AND THE PHYSICIAN I spoke to on a video conference I'd have a rapid test with same day results. So again, they were either MISINFORMED and therefore MISINFORMING ME or they just weren't competent enough to call me with my rapid test results over a FOUR HOUR PERIOD before they closed. They also DO NOT answer the phone; I don't believe it even rings in the office. It's just an automated system where you cannot get a person. There is an option to leave a voicemail where it says to leave your message after the tone but THE TONE NEVER COMES so you CANNOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. This place completely screwed me with either BAD INFORMATION or straight up INCOMPETENCE. Either way, during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, that's atrocious. I could not have been more specific about needing a RAPID test and was lead to believe that's what I was getting. So one last time for good measure, the staff member I spoke to was either WRONG about what kind of test they were scheduling with me either out of incompetence or staff just not caring enough to be sure about the information they were providing or they just blew me off and forgot / neglected to call me. If you want RELIABLE medical care, especially during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, go anywhere else. I'd have been better off sticking a q-tip up my nose and dropping it in the Walgreens parking lot. Normally all my visits are amazing. i will always recommend this place from front desk, to triage and the provider. especially Dr Silverburg he is beyong thorough and does not care about anything else except for treating me which was really nice to see. The only thing i did not like is when they are doing covid testing, the nurse with braids (im sorry just giving a characteristic so people would know who i am talking about) that comes outside is so rude and nasty and like we are doing her an injustice coming to get tested; however this is AFC policy to get tested in your car, so the only person she should be angry with is her bosses and practice manager. other than that everyone else is so friendly and nice. read more

They tested me for flu and said I only have a bad colds but not flu . I went home and very sick . 3 days after they called me and told me that flu test came and I'm positive . They said they made a mistake with the diagnosis . After that visit I never came back to this place anymore . read more

Brought my grandmother here for a gyn issue she was having. Dr. Ehrlich was kind, compassionate, thorough, and most importantly he maintained her privacy. He is an excellent provider and this has got to be one of the best urgent cares I have ever been too. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful as well. One recommendation that I have is to make your appointment online! The wait was about 20-30 minutes, but honestly the patient care makes up for it. read more

I was feeling horrible and getting ready to travel in 2-days. I have to say that the girls at the front desk were so sweet and helpful; prompt check in and check out. I saw Dr. Bhatia who was just amazing; gave me an Albuterol treatment, antibiotics and explained to me how to take everything so I could get on the plane and feel back to my normal self. I had a great experience here. They even called me the next day to see how I was feeling and if I had any questions. read more

Let me start out by saying I am a nurse and have seen all kinds of stitching done in the ER. It can actually be a very painful process. Doctors sometimes rush through it and do a sucky job. I showed up to this urgent care with a hand laceration 38 weeks pregnant and had the most amazing experience ever! Dr. Ehrlich was on point with his sterile technique, procedure was painless, and the stitching job was perfect ( beautiful clean edges ). He was super friendly and knowledgeable. The nurse and receptionist were also welcoming. Facility was clean! Definitely recommend this place to everyone! You also save lots of money paying for urgent care copay than ER copay. I visited AFC Urgent Care for the second time this year for an urgent issue (injury). My first visit was at the beginning of the year when I started to experience severe back pain and no matter how many times I asked my regular primary doctor for an appointment I was told they had no availability to accommodate me. So I did a search for nearby urgent care facilities and this one was on my list. I was impressed not only by how professional, courteous and knowledgeable the physician Dr. Ehrlich was but also the staff as well. Everyone in the office provided an excellent experience, so much so that with my current injury I didn't even bother to look for anyone else. This time I was seen by Dr. Bhatia, who like Dr. Ehrlich is a very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. They make you feel as though they do genuinely care about your health care needs rather than making you feel as though you are just another number coming through the door. read more

How is this place still in business? We took our son to AFC Urgent Care on Friday for Strep throat. Patient docs need to be filled out on your phone, have fun with that. Dr Patel won't see you in person because you are "sick", they don't let "sick" patients in the building. But they have a sick nurse who goes to your car to do the testing. ????? So, Dr Patel will do telehealth for your visit. WOW! The awesome observations done over the phone. So, proficient. Why did we go to the Doctor? Oh, Strep throat for our son. So, between allergies and Strep. We were to get Flonase and amoxicillin. This whole time we are in the car. The scripts "were" sent to the pharmacy. Yea, right. Flonase made it to the pharmacy, not the amoxicillin. Does AFC urgent care pick up the phone or check messages after 4pm? That would be NO. Pharmacy called and we called over 12 times. The person who checks the messages comes back to work on Monday. We ended up going back to the awesome AFC urgent care to get the script sent to the pharmacy. Don't worry they care about you and your well-being. I am not sure what to make of this place. Incompetence, laziness, arrogance, entitled...??? All I know is to steer clear of it. read more

I wish I could give Dr. Bergen ten stars! I had a worrisome cough which followed a terrible flu. I'm a terminally ill cancer patient, so I don't like to risk going to my cancer center and putting the other patients there at risk. Dr Bergen was able to definitively rule out viral pneumonia, and did not try to push uneeded antibiotics on me, many of which I am allergic to anyhow. He prescribed an inhaler and nighttime pearls, and I have never experienced such immediate relief. He is confident, competent, and I'm so glad that he is nearby. read more

I went to AFC american family care because I had sinus congestion, body aches and a painful cough. I was seen by Doctor Harold B. Ehrlich, M.D. he was very knowledgeable and has one of the Best personalities I have ever encountered. I was not satisfied with the Doctor that I have just saw a week before because I was not getting better. Doctor Ehrlich told me that the doctor that I saw before him was treating my symptoms not the cause. He did a x-ray and other test making me laugh the whole time. I have been to Doctor's Express on a few occasions. Dr. Ehrlich is awesome! He was friendly, took his time, listened with interest, explained things very well and offered suggestions on things I can do to ease my symptoms. I felt like I was at a doctor who still loved being a doctor and who puts the patient above all else. I wish he was my GP and not just urgent care. We need more doctors like Dr. Ehrlich! read more

Absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone actually sick as they will make it terribly complicated to be seen by a doctor should you not have your insurance card on you. I had all necessary information on my insurance card which I called three times while in the waiting area and begged the lady in the front an x-ray tech named Khy--- to speak to my insurance to verify its me because I'm in such discomfort she stated that I would not be seen without an insurance card despite having all necessary information. She had an attitude, was rude, not helpful and simply said I'd have to pay the non-insurance rate if I couldn't produce an image of my card. I was in complete pain and she didn't care in the least. I just sat and waited for either a card to be faxed or an image to be produced. Completely outlandish the way in which the entire process was handled. I was extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this location despite how sick I or my family may be. Disgusting service from everyone at their front desk. read more

I usually don't write reviews but due to the great service I have received both times I have been treated at this facility, I am going to write one. Dr. Bhatia has some of the best bedside manners. She greets you with a smile, introduces herself, and takes the time to speak with you. She listens from beginning to end about your signs/symptoms, and addresses any questions or concerns you may have. Too often people leave doctors offices feeling like they weren't heard, or they leave confused because the doctor used terminology they weren't familiar with. Dr. Bhatia uses language that people without a medical/healthcare background can understand, and she makes sure you don't leave her office with any questions unanswered. If asked I would highly recommend her to family and friends. As for the front desk, intake/paperwork has always been quick and smooth! No issues at all. read more

The worst experience I have ever had visiting a Doctor in US. The only reason I preferred this place is that there is no appointment necessary and walk-ins welcome. I do know that the medical services provided in US is costlier but I just went for a general consultation. I have been charged $400 plus in total. I had insurance coverage from Aetna and paid a deductible of $50 during the visit. After the final bill still ended up paying $90 more. read more
