https://myfamilycaremd.com…read more Family Care Medical Practice in Greenbrook, NJ have been my family's favorite physicians for the past 21 years. All of the Physicians, Nurses, and Clinical Staff always greet you with a smile, and sincerely wish to help you to regain your health, for you and your family member's current ailments. This team of professionals have been employed by Family Care for many years and you will be able to establish a rapport with the Doctors. You and your family will be treated as valued guests/clients and will not be reduced to just a number on a chart. The owner of the practice, Dr. Chafos is an excellent Physician; kindly, patient, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Personally, I have been a patient of Dr. John Chafos' since before Family Care opened, more than 25 years ago. The medical care and compassion from the entire staff, their attention to detail and overall positive outcomes can not be matched by other medical practices in the area. This facility is quiet and calm and suitable for all age groups, especially children, Seniors and people with special needs. The consultation rooms for individual patients are private, comfortable and always clean. And the office is open for walk-ins all day long, beginning very early in the morning into the late evening hours. It is nice to have the flexibility to visit when the time is right for you. A variety of testing techniques are available (Bloodwork, X-ray, urinalysis, on-site testing for flu/Covid/pneumonia, etc.), popular vaccines are available to be administered. ( Even the Shingles vaccine is available and recommended for individuals over 50.) In addition, a professional Phlebotomist from LabCorp is always on staff. Please, bear in mind, patience is a virtue, this is a well-loved medical practice and you may have a wait time to be seen by the Doctor of your choice on the day of your visit. Happily, there are usually 3-4 Doctors in the office at any given moment, and a multitude of Nursing staff as well. These factors will reduce your overall time spent on your visit. In addition, the Family Care website lists the Doctors on staff for that particular day and location, as well as the schedule for the next following days, so you may best plan out your day. This facility is wheelchair accessible and if you need assistance entering the building, a quick call to the front desk will have a Staff member coming directly out to assist you into the building. A large, off-street parking lot is in available. I have been on a weight loss program under Dr. Chafos' and Dr. Klele's care for the past four years, (without weight-loss medication, but the newer specialized medications may be made available to you if you meet certain criteria). Since Spring of 2019, I have lost more than 100 lbs. or 40% of my body weight, reduced my waist by more than 14 inches, reduced my body fat by 14% and reduced my BMI from 44 to 27 and went from severely obese to almost "normal" BMI. (I am now a size 10, after having lost 9 Jean sizes!!!) During the course of this diet loss program, I reversed my pre-diabetes into a perfect 5.0 A1c! I am currently 19 lbs from goal and will likely make that goal weight before the end of this year, 2023. It has been a long, but fruitful journey and my health has only improved during this time. (If you are in a similar situation, and do not know where to begin, please speak with one of the Doctors, please know they will help you.) If you are seeking a team of Dedicated Doctors and healthcare professionals whom will listen to your needs and concerns, then I do recommend that you visit and consult with one of the many available Doctors (all long-term employed) and plan of a course of action to coordinate your return to excellent health. I hope this message finds you well, but if you are not well, be assured there are still Doctors in the world who want to help you. PS There is also a satellite office located in Hillsborough, NJ!

Today I received 2 messages with a threatening tone demanding she know who I am. If this contact and context of her messages doesn't solidify my earlier review boy! In the 30 plus years I've been a patient I HAVE NEVER MADE A COMPLAINT. This lady is a ticking time bomb. Why does she insist on knowing who I am and then tells me not to hide!? This individual has access to my medical records and is demanding to know who I am! I hope Martinsville and Atlantic healthcare review her behavior and determine she is clearly not fit to deal with public! It's funny how she says she's been there five years and all the complaints reference this place going downhill about five years ago! Every review reads the same we used to love Martinsville family practice, and the staff but now they are extremely rude and unprofessional, really sad! I just text one bad Apple and now there's two!

If you want to be on the grid, then Raritan Family Healthcare is the place for you! The doctors -…read morein my experience as a patient - were quick to prescribe a pill in the 7 minutes they will spend with you, and keep you coming in for anything you are not willing to do the work for to prevent your declining health in the first place. Don't fool yourself - this is a BUSINESS and they are in it for the money, same as any other. Sadly, the medical system in America is doing a poor job of helping individuals at the root of their problems, but in even trying to get an exemption for an out-of-network doctor this office was unwilling to do so without an in-person visit. Guess what - I'm WILLING to pay the extra $20 a visit to my out-of-network naturopathic doctor so I don't HAVE to come in for yet another fake diagnosis. I've learned how to take care of myself (and shame on you, reader, if you don't) and lowered my own blood pressure without meds, stopped eating like 'an American', and I MOVE instead of sitting on my butt all day...I suggest you do the same and stop relying on doctors who want your business - and only your business - not your good health.

In the decades since then they have meticulously cared for our family using evidenced based medicine and their trademark compassion. My mother has been under their care for as long. Their office is expertly managed and is oft times a family affair and gives off the vibe of being part of an extended family. I have also been cared for by Dr. Khalil who managed an injury I suffered with great care. Highly recommend based on my years of professional experience with this group.

The assistant seemed well-aware of it. So, we had the physicals. They drew blood for some checking. In fact, I had to do my X-ray (which I did from outside upon their advise). Up to this point, I thought it went well and everything is good. But, later after 4 months, I got bills from never heard Labs that I have to pay for the tests that were being performed. I came to know that this place sent all our tests to third party (out-of-network). The bill was around $700 which my insurance did not cover. My question is: why the assistance did not tell me that they sends the tests outside of the Network? She knows my insurance (Cigna) and I am sure there must be lots of other patience who comes from Cigna and must have argued same. So, what this absurd place gained by ruining us? We already pay a fortune to this insurance company and when we need it, we still need to pay? I simply, do not recommend this place or any place which makes other peoples life miserable. I wanted to give no star at all but Yelp did not let me choose.
