The energy was cold, dismissive, and clearly not happy that I was there, especially since I was a Black woman. I've never had a facial where they told me to wash my face again right after. A complete waste of time and money. This is NOT a HydraFacial as advertised. It's a cheap face wash that doesn't work as well as it should and you can get it for a third of the price in other parts of San Francisco. Lying about what you're selling. Treatment that is lazy and not complete. No care. Not on purpose. Not professional. Don't come here if you're Black, have dark skin, or just respect yourself and your limits. I would come here again only for Mimi, who did most of my facial. And because it's clean. But here's my take on acne and hyperpigmentation treatment if you choose to see Oogii. I came to get a facial for my acne (clogged pores) and hyperpigmentation as I had requested prior to the appointment. When I arrive, Oogii who is the head aesthetician kept commenting on how "bad my scars are," and kept pushing for me to come back for chemical peels which I'm not comfortable with as I don't even know much about it and she didn't explain. Out of the blue during the middle of the session, she comes in to take over for Mimi, and chooses to give me a hydra facial without explaining. Again, I'm here to treat my clogged pores/ acne/ hyperpigmentation. I had also asked if I can use the Groupon for the acne treatment and she said if it's "different," but didn't give me any explanation as to what the differences are other than that treatment is just extractions. And again, hyper focused on telling me how bad my skin looks. She also asked me to show her my current products which I thought she'd give me more information about but she just looked at it and said "yes non comedogenic is good." I usually don't write reviews but I had a very good experience with Aesthetic OOGII so I wanted to sign up just to write a review. First of all, I found the office was very cozy, clean and welcoming with a nice view of the city. I felt very comfortable when I walked in. Second, OOGII was very professional to take care of my skin issues. I had acne and dark spots and she took care of them very well with proper machines, products and treatment skills. Third, she was very honest and did not recommend unnecessary treatments that other places usually do. I asked her if I needed any extra treatment but she wanted to do whatever is needed first and then we will see how it goes. I trust her professionalism and I definitely go back for future treatment. As a professional mixed martial artist I am way more used to beating up my body than pampering it. 2020 RUINED my skin...so at the start of the new year, I decided to get some help. January 2021, I discovered Oogii, and over the next 12 months, she completely changed my skin. She got my acne under control to the point where I finally (for the most part) have clear skin! WOOHOO! We some have work to do with my scarring and pigmentation, but I never thought I'd be able to consistently wake up without ANY pimples. I bought a Groupon and was not impressed, basically traumatized. And that's saying a lot being that I work with mental health / trauma patients. I do not take away from the knowledge and possible skill this esthetician has under her belt. However, I will explain my experience. And you can decide for yourself re: ethics and professionalism. Facts: 90 min Groupon "with free consultation served with champagne" Facts: Appt at 130pm I arrived at 115 pm Got laid out right around 130pm and slightly prepped aka steam on my face while she finished up her previous client Previous appointment was still being tended to and she talked to her UNTIL 145pm and didn't physically start with me with her hands until 145pm. Her "consultation", I'm assuming, was her repetitiously saying "your face, so bad, omg. Your acne so bad. You have to come to me weekly. Chemical peels, etc etc." Basically come back and I give you a good deal around 600 bucks for weekly sessions to support me and my "horrible acne". She then did her thing, and finished at 235pm. Why do you ask? Oh bc her next appointment came in at 230pm So why did she schedule me for a 130 pm for a 90 minute service? So it was not even barely even a full hour and the Groupon stated 90 minutes. Also no champagne I'm not even upset about the bubbles. Don't tell someone your service will be 90 minutes when it won't Don't tell someone your face is gross the whole time your doing a service and not really have details they didn't obviously know already. (E.g. how much water you drink, veggies etc) I had already told her I could eat better. Drink more water, and I know my diet was a component. Don't schedule ppl where they will be impeding on the experience of another persons service And if you're going to treat the Groupon ppl like shit, and the other NON Groupon like royalty, maybe consider not having Groupon people at your business. To go somewhere and try to find a cleaner face, and be relaxed and almost leave in tears was not what I wanted. PS. I know esthetician's have their own ways to do stuff. But squeezing my face with her fingers aka her idea of extraction with nails and leaving me with scars was not how I wanted or thought this would go. Thank you for the trauma. read more

update: I just finished my last session from my package deal and wanted to share my results. My skin is a lot clearer now and has a healthy glow. I was seeing Oogii once a week in the beginning and now I see her once every three weeks to maintain my clear skin! My skin was very congested before, I had tons of blackheads and acne around the mask area. From my last session, Oogi mentioned that my blackheads are mostly gone :) I purchased another package to help with my scarring! First off, I found out about this place online looking for someone to help me with my acne that had continued to get worse. I found Oogii and was hesitant at first because I had never gotten a facial/ extraction but had only hear do them and what not. Off tops, when I arrived she was very attentive to me. While she was commencing the first steps of the facial she was asking me a series of questions, from the things I ate, to my daily habits and etc... It made me feel extremely comfortable knowing that she actually cared about my skin and didn't just begin my facial without any background knowledge. I rarely give reviews, but Oogii was so amazing that I had to review her new business! She formerly worked with partners in Mill Valley but moved to San Francisco to start her own business, and my experience with her was just too great to not give her a 5 star review. I wanted everyone to know how great of an aesthetician that Oogii is! Me and my boyfriend had such a wonderful experience, with Oogii (business owner)! I got a x2 - 60 min anti aging hydra facial for my boyfriend and myself. It was the first time that my boyfriend got a facial and he loved it! I have severely dry, sensitive, eczema prone skin and got the anti-aging and hydra facial to try to replenish my red, irritated, scaling skin. One of the reasons I wanted to see Oogii is because she's an expert in her field and also uses natural products. I've had prior facials from other places where the products had a bunch of unnatural ingredients and fragrances that would make my eczema worse and create more break outs. Oogii even removed my unwanted hair from my face (i.e. helped clean up my eyebrows and upper lip) and extracted white and black heads before they became a serious acne problem. I even got a face, head, neck, and back massage (Oogii used massage techniques with her hands while my facial mask was soaking in), and I got a leg massage (using their leg massage machine). My skin feels great, looks clean, and I feel revived. I highly recommended, Oogii! She's an expert in skin, gives great massages, has a great personality, willing to answer all questions, uses great natural skin products and advanced skin techniques, has a very clean office, and she is very personable and kind. Another thing that I love about her is that she doesn't try to upsell all these difference products to you.
