Went in for my bi-annual dental cleaning and dental check. Clean atmosphere and friendly receptionists. I was brought to the back by a young girl who didn't really look like she knew what she was doing; she must have been a student. She took some dental radiographs but with my knowledge on dental radiography, I had to repositioned my mouth piece for her twice for her to get a better image. I work in the medical field and could point out that her beam was not going to give her the image she wanted the way she positioned it. Then the dental hygienist came in for the cleaning and check up. Routine and pleasant experience with my dental hygienist. Then waited to see Dr. Nikmard for a full mouth check and questions. Answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. I appreciate that he took the time to listen to my concerns about a tooth that I had recently had a cap placed was causing discomfort. He didn't ignore it and listened to my concerns. I appreciated that. Overall a great experience and I felt 100% safe with their Covid procedures. Dr. Nikmard makes me feel calm and relaxed during visits. Dental appointments were never my favorite but my visits with him and his staff make the experience a little more easier. I usually do not write reviews But I want to warn parents to protect their children teeth. First of all every 6 month when I go there for my check up and cleaning, every time is a new doctor. NO one stays there for long. And last time when I took my 13 years old daughter for check up,doctor diagnosed her with 12 cavities. And made a treatment plan to do 12 filings.My doughter takes good care of her teeth and we go to dentist every 6 months so it didn't sound right to me. I took her to a different clinic to see a different doctor for a second opinion. And she had no cavities. Only couple of teeth has I little consern and doctors put sealant. But no cavities or needed fillings. They almost ruined 12 healthy teeth of my daughter. So please be careful in there read more

I have been a patient here for many years, even before they were in their current location. I have always had good service, and my dental problems have been resolved. I've used several different dentists (here) over the years, but have been pleased with them all. The staff is very responsive, and if you call with an actual "toothache" they do their best to get you in ASAP! We could not ask for better. I have moved 6 hours away and still make the long trip in to use them as our dentist. I have never had a bad experience with this dentist and my husband also uses them. I have never found they want treatment that is not needed and they might cost a bit more but my mouth is healthy and my smile is bright. Very disappointed with the way management treated me. Doctor Youngs is a great dentist and the assistants are friendly and nice, but the management is not understanding and unable to take responsibility for their mistakes. I had my wisdom teeth extracted which was complicated but successful. After a few days I came back for my check up and everything was well. A week after the surgery, and days with the stitches having fallen out, I was finding rotten food in my mouth and was bleeding from my mouth which was highly concerning. These offices are closed on the weekends, so I was unable to go directly to the dentists for medical help. After looking into my mouth, I was surprised by holes in my jaw with exposed bone. I called and left a message to my dentist immediately and left a message for the "Emergency Dentist On Call" and proceeded to an Emergency clinic. After confronting management that the doctor and assistance failed to inform me that holes would be present in my mouth after the stitches fell out and that I would need to keep them clean, they refused to take responsibility for my response to seek medical help. Keep in mind I was finding rotten food in my mouth and bleeding. Management refused that I called and left a message because they didn't see any messages. Management refused to accept responsibility, and I am highly disappointed for the lack of professional consideration for their clients. read more

Dr. Youngs has relocated to south Houston but we are optimistic that we remain in good hands. I've been taken care of each visit and couldn't imagine letting anyone else take care of my dental health. First of all I hardly ever write reviews/surveys etc, but felt I had to, on this one. I had cancer in my head and neck and the radiation was pretty tough on my teeth. The dentist at MD Anderson had to remove a cracked tooth and my wisdom teeth prior to my cancer treatment. They stressed I must take care of my teeth very well and even so, I would most likely have problems with my teeth in the future. I had read decent reviews for this office and had gone for a couple of cleanings and exams. It's a beautiful new office, the hygienist was great. They gave me a treatment plan with an out of pocket cost of about $4,000.00, which I could not afford, so I decided to delay the treatment. (My insurance pays 50%) For convenience, I took my daughter there about a year ago. Of course the cleanings were free with my insurance. After my daughter came out they told me she had 6 cavities and it would be about $400.00 out of pocket. We moved and I procrastinated up until today to take her back to the dentist. There is a dental office very near my new house that had good reviews on Yelp. I decided to take her there today for an initial exam and cleaning. I expected to be setting another appointment to fill her cavities. To my surprise, the hygienist came out and said everything is great, no cavities and the dentist says she has perfectly straight teeth. She will probably never need braces. You can draw your own conclusion, but this doesn't sit very well with me. I read more

I made an appointment to meet Dr. Umansky. I arrived and the office staff insisted I sign legal forms for treatment. I expressed concerns and they bullied me; insisting that if I did not sign the forms, I could not see the dentist. The dental assistant insisted on taking vitals; when I refused, she was snide. I met the dentist and expressed my concerns- about both his staff's behavior and my concerns about dental care- he interrupted me to dismiss me from the office. I have never felt so humiliated or belittled in a professional office. There was no care or concern for me; they met my fears with intimidation. They only seemed comfortable treating people who would do as they are told, when they are told to do it. Please, please avoid going here, unless you want to walk away feeling like you were just treated like a piece of common trash. read more

I took my mom here to check out a bridge she'd broken a couple months ago. She's going overseas in February so she needed to get in ASAP to a place that offers IV sedation. Her dental anxiety is beyond what I've seen in 98% of the patients I've seen over 4 years (I'm a dental assistant myself), and since the doctor I work for doesn't offer IV sedation, I took her here after consulting with other offices who were either dismissive, too busy or tried to talk her into an implant she didn't want. First strike against this place is that they kept us waiting 20 minutes. I know that's sometimes unavoidable, but working in the back, I can say that most of the time, it's something that can be worked around. There should always be a chair available in this place, considering the copious amounts of treatment rooms they had built in. I didn't really like the fact that the operatories were all open air and you could hear everything going on in each room, but that is becoming a more and more popular way of setting up rooms nowadays. The assistant who helped us, Rachel, was super friendly and very attentive to my mom's concerns. She took a couple of xrays and the doctor came in shortly after those were developed. We saw Dr. Yammine, and I have to say, he was one of the coolest doctors I've ever met. He treated his assistant with a lot of respect, and he really listened to my mom when she said she was scared to death. Of the five offices we've been to that have looked at her and given her estimates for her bridge, this was the only one she didn't cry at, and that's saying a LOT. They even accommodated her and got her in for IV sedation work as quickly as they could, and answered all of her questions in a fair and even way. I very much trust this office based off of the doctor's handling of her situation and fears, and I'm very excited for her that she seems to have found a good doctor to stick with. EDIT: Amazingly, all of these people have made me so angry that they managed to go from 4 stars to 1, and there would be less if it were possible. My mom had all of her work done, which she paid for up front. TWO MONTHS LATER, she still is in temps. When she called to see what was taking so long (yeah, they didn't even bother to call her first), the receptionist told her they were "adjusting" her bridge. What are you adjusting?? There's no adjusting to do without a patient in the chair!! Two more weeks went by after her initial call, and her temporary comes off. She called the office, left them a message that her temps came off and she was kind of scared and didn't know what do. That was two weeks ago and nobody bothered to call her back. Thank God I'm a dental assistant and could tell her what to do. If she had done what she wanted to do, they would have had to remake the entire bridge since the teeth would move around. My mother is extremely unhappy with the blatant apathy this office has shown her, and I am extremely irritated with their rather obvious lack of professionalism. read more

My wife and I have been with Aesthetic for 6 years. We recently turned 65 and switched insurance to Aetna medicare advantage value plus that includes a separate dental and vision policies (so says on the card). I presented Aesthetic the new Aetna card, and they said in the most arrogant and insolent response, that they don't accept medicare. I told them that it includes a separate dental and vision ppo plans, so says on the card, and Aesthetic is listed on Aetna dentist providers. They just said, we don't accept that crap. I left the office, and called Splendid Dental across the street. I told them that I was a new patient and had Aetna medicare advantage value plus that includes a separate dental policy, Aetna dental ppo. They said, sure, we use it all the time. I made an appointment with Splendid and my wife and I will never go to Aesthetic, the most arrogant and insolent people we ever dealt with. read more

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed along with a gingevectomy around her molars. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The doctor was very gentle and came out and fully explained what her experience would be in her aftercare. Okay, I am upset enough to chew nails or might try if my tooth wasn't still bothering me. I had dental work done here last October then I went back in for 5 or 6 adjustments. When they first did the crown they said I needed a root canal on tooth #19 and two crowns. I said just do it all while I am here and knocked out! He did the two crowns but said a root canal wasn't needed. So for the next 7 months ( okay, I was on a cruise 2 of those) but the rest of the time they kept doing adjustments and saying to come back in 3 weeks if it was still sore. Well, it wasn't really painful just uncomfortable enough I needed an Advil most nights to sleep. I kept trying to convince myself it was getting better. Finally last week this pimple/boil developed on my gum right under the crown in question #19. 5 minutes of googling told me it was most likely an abscess! Back in I went ... sure enough ... now this was not a bargain procedure the first time ... about $4,000-$5,000 and I don't carry dental insurance. So I felt they needed to make it right. This time they took X-rays which was the first time since the original procedure in October and they found an abscess under the crown .... which they say developed after they put in the crown and bridge. Really??? Because he told me I needed a root canal on that exact tooth before they put in the crown and that was the same sore tooth they worked on every time I went in since I got the crowns. They are saying they have to drill thru the new crown and do a root canal .... but it will take a specialist now with the crown and my roots are " too narrow" for a standard root canal. Needless to say, I didn't take their referral but if they had done it right the first time it would have been so much easier and cheaper before the permanent crown/bridge .... and saved 7 months of discomfort!! I went back to the dentist I liked in Kingwood and got a referral from him for someone who specializes in Endodontics. I have an appt next week when I finish up my round of antibiotics. What a bloomin' mess! Okay, I feel a little better having vented .... but not much! read more
