I had an incredibly uncomfortable experience here when I tried to return a Christmas gift with the gift receipt. The asian guy cashier extremely judgemental when I said it was a gift and wanted to return it because I do not need more hand creams, saying "it will go back to the original person's card, as it should, or we can do store credit". I opted for store credit and he was extremely pushy about me looking around for a purchase the exact same day. He came across very off putting and demeaning. The system ended up letting it go through to my credit card because that's what gift receipts are intended for, and he said "We'll let this happen just this one time." Perhaps he was just so disapproving that I was returning a gift that he acted so rudely but I hope he receives more training in customer service and creating a positive shopping experience. read more

Came here today among visiting a few other stores while here in Century City. I have to say that we were greeted instantly by none other than a gent named "Ryan", who was the CSA, or Customer Service All Star here at Aesop today. Sis and I came in and while she was a vet, I didn't have the slightest clue as to what oils were for this, or for that! Mr. Ryan was on top of his game educating both sis and I on what was best for different parts of the hands, face, and body-the costs of each product, size options-you name it. Ryan's personality was pleasant and most effective. Unlike some youngsters who start off in retail of some sort (I was among them), Ryan's approach and demeanor serves him well in that he never came off as being too aggressive or pushy, but was ready to "answer the call"....and a ton of questions. I love Aesop products but the last two visits at this particular location has not been great. There are two women that work here that have a rude attitude. One of them was not busy and acted annoyed when asking about products and the other one also acted like she could care less. Very short with you, dry, and no conversation about the products. Maybe they need a spa day? They have a very stuck up attitude. I've worked retail and this is not the way to conduct business. I recommend other amazing Aesop locations. read more

I like Aesop a lot, but this particular location had really rude service the last time I came here with my fiance's sister. We wanted to try out a soap and one of the girls behind the counter insisted on explaining the soap, which was fine, but then proceeded to direct us on how to wash our hands and where to place the drying cloth after. When we finished washing our hands, she mumbled a question to me that I could barely hear because of how quietly she talked. When I answered, "I don't know" to her question because she seemed like she really wanted an answer, she rolled her eyes and walked off. It's such a shame that we had an experience like this with the service here. I really wanted to show my fiance's sister the awesome Aesop soaps and face washes, but we didn't get to obviously and left with a sour taste in our mouth. First of all, this has got to be my favorite Aesop location hands down just because of the design of the store. It's a beautiful space that is pleasant to walk into and shop in. I went in yesterday with my mom and the employee (Ambra, Amber? I apologize for the likelihood of botching your name) was extremely attentive, kind, and helpful, and not in an 'annoying' way. They were so nice to my mom and I and made sure to give us samples with my small purchase based off of my skincare/hair needs. I'm a long time shopper of Aesop products and am sad to admit that they can be one of those companies whose employees can often come off as abrasive or rude. But not at this location! Designed by Aēsop's own in-house design department, the exterior combines raw concrete and large glass louvers, while the interior is lined by tiles glazed in sky blue. Shelving and accents are in stainless steel, recalling pool ladders. A single tropical plant with the tall silhouette like a palm tree and a coir fabric chair accent the spare, elegant space: It's perfectly unique, undeniably Aēsop. The staff on my visit was wonderfully gracious, and I felt bad that I had made a recent purchase at my local Aēsop in Downtown just a few days ago and didn't need anything right then. They really are such a warm and friendly staff - just like the associates at Downtown and Silver Lake. I know I'll have to visit this beautiful location again soon - as far as store design goes, it may just be favorite Aēsop in L.A. (Don't tell Downtown that!) read more

By far, one of the coolest shops in the mall. I absolutely love coming in and washing my hands! (And no, I never in a million years, ever would have thought that I would be writing a yelp review about washing my hands!) Every single product is incredible. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE! I started with hand soap, and trust me, it's the gateway product to everything else in this place... it looks unassuming and innocent, but watch out! Pretty soon you'll be hooked on moisturizer, post poo drops (yes, you read that correctly- and my kids are hooked on them. I was given a bottle as a housewarming present all wrapped in a lovely linen gift bag, and ever since, I have to have a bottle in every bathroom or we have upset little people in our house)! The face serum is insanely addicting, so much so, that I had a sample, used it - and immediately my friends asked if I had gotten work done because my skin looked so good. I have since run out- need to get more, and now my skin went back to looking bad... so I MUST get more. LIKE NOW! The manager, Linda, is amazing. She is truly magical and somehow, knows exactly what you need. If the mall weren't so bonkers crazy busy now that Eataly opened up, I'd go every day to wash my hands and just smell lovely and hang out with all these kind lovely ladies that work here... I honestly believe that's a requirement to work here- you have to be insanely kind and lovely to get hired by the company. I normally wouldn't buy such expensive products, but the ladies who work here really took the time to demonstrate each product I asked about, and explained the level of quality ingredients they use. I work in advertising so I am not an easy sell, I walked out spending around $300. One employee, Jenny, was so kind and helpful and made me feel comfortable asking about each product. It is tough to find companies that are transparent as to why they charge so much, and I truly feel like it was money well spent. So excited for all of my new products, and I will definitely be back. This store is fantastic! First of all it looks really cool - floor to ceiling blue tile like you're inside of a beautiful shower. Then there are the beautiful apothecary-styled product in different sized brown glass containers. It's a feast for the senses indeed! The product itself is top-notch. I happen to have fallen in love with the Reverence Aromatique Hand Wash in the vetiver root scent and the Damascan Rose Facial Treatment. They smell divine and do wondrous things for the skin. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. We had the good fortune to have James helping us. He is a highly trained Aesop Expert. Plus you get sent home with various samples geared toward your skin type. Highly recommend this place! read more

Love everything about this shop! First of all, I have to say the store is super organized. Secondly, I just love how simple and sweet the shop looks. I have been to this shop 3 times this month. It is crazy! The products are not cheap, but for some reason, you just want to buy all of them. Linda is super helpful and patient. I got my hand cream and serum on the first visit and decided to come back for masque and body scrub. Now for the third visit, I have decided to change my whole skincare routine​ to solely Aesop products hahahahaha. I am obsessed with this brand!
