The staff I interacted with were very kind and pleasant given it was a busy weekend. Prices aren't terrible, but everything is expensive these days. If you wanna look like you've been to China with a bunch of Chinese stuff made in China, this is the place. They do have things relating to Chicago, but a lot of the stuff is just Chinese stuff that'll sit around your house gathering dust. Think lots of little statues, vases, cups, bowls. I feel like a bull in a China shop in here- all the aisles and merchandise is so jammed close together, that every time I turn around, I feel like I'm going to break some fragile jade egg or some bamboo vase. They also sell Chinese clothing, which all seemed a bit small for my tastes. But it's pretty. It's a shop in a nice location- it's sort of in the souvenir district of Chinatown- there's a few cool other similar shops on the same street, right in front of the Chinese archway that leads you into Chinatown.

It's too tight with too many fragile items to bring in younger children (unless they are very well behaved) but there are lots of toys to give to children as gifts. Not surprisingly it's all made in China, including the Japanese sake serving sets which are quite a bit cheaper than you would find elsewhere. It's really fun to shop here, and you can't leave Chinatown with out some sort of souvenir, right?

I ended up buying a cute little onesie that has is designed to look like the Chicago flag but with hearts in place of the stars. it's so cute and I can't wait to put it on my little ones. They had several other onesies that were cute.
