In the meantime another person called and I explained that I had made an appointment with Eddy Ponce and the guy said good stay with that appointment and said goodbye. I had the appointment on my calendar and am busy searching for a job after my AMR division was laid-off due to subsidies being cut by the Pumpkin Führer. Ponce never called. I called Aerotek and got passed around then f'd off by text messages from Ponce. My suggestion to anyone seeking employment is to directly contact the business offering the job through Aerotek and tell them you have no confidence in that staffing company. I have had sooo much trouble with this job agency I don't even know where to begin. Signing into there website is almost impossible. It does not remember our password so we have to go thru setting up a new one every time. You can't speak with anyone there so you leave a message and they say they will call you back. Well if you are somewhat lucky they will but then refer you to someone else and then you have to leave them a message. I had to work for them for 6 months before I could be placed by the company I was temping for. They don't pay you for holidays until you have worked for them for 6 months. Most places are 3 months. The worst part though is your pay is seldom correct. I got a pay raise and they failed to give me the raise on my check. When they were notified it took them a month to reimburse me. Endless you like to work for free this Aerotek should be avoided. read more

He was very up front and communicative about what employers are looking for and gave me extra insight before interviews. My recruiter, Josh Purvis, was impossible to get in touch with, and would not respond for days to texts or emails. My last assignment with Aerotek was at MSR in Hillsboro, Oregon, and all of the temps found out on a Friday they were getting cut, or having conversion to full time or payment issues- except for me. My recruiter had to come in and get a photo of my ID that I had sent five or six times previously, but was supposedly too blurry, and if he didn't get the photo they would have to pull me off the job. Once Monday rolled around, I found out AFTER morning meeting and stretching that my assignment was over. AFTER. I called Josh and he promised to pay me two hours for the assignment...well, that was October 10. It is November 2, and as many times as I've reached out... nothing. Ultimately, I had an okay experience using Aerotek. There's rumors online that you won't get paid on time etc, this wasn't my experience. I sort of came in there thinking I knew what I wanted as a career change and I was wrong, and they of course lined me up with a job that was ultimately the most soul crushing experience of my life. For those of you who don't know- The temp business is a business. They take a cut of your pay for their services. O.K. that is all good and fine. I accept that. I really do. I do not accept being lied to though. Beware! You just may get offered a salary that you will never see. You will be lured in. Then you just may be promised another salary slightly below the first one that you were offered. Well- you probably won't see that one either. But what you will see is a payrate on your check, that you never accepted. The whole time I am talking to these people- my bullshit meter is going off. This actually is a review spanning two different sites. One in Salt Lake, and the other Here. The one in Salt Lake found me a posting at a "Great" company doing insurance processing. The second day I was there the team lead screamed at me and stormed out because I had questions on a system that I had only touched once prior, the day before. Since coming to Oregon, I contacted Areotek and they sent me on one interview. Said they would get me more information about the position (since none had been sent to me prior to the interview and I was meeting with their onsite recruiter). No contact was made. I reached out. No call back for about two or three weeks. Then someone calls and says they are following up and will "For sure" get back to me the next day. Again this does not happen. Again I leave a message and no follow up even to just say "Hey, they went with another candidate." Today I get an email from them, since I mistakenly applied for a job through Career Builder they were posting (I was doing the "These are jobs you might be interested in" click and apply after having applied for a job I was actually wanting. I actually got a letter from them today about how great it was to "Meet with me" and how impressed they were but were pursuing other candidates. Okay.... Nice form letter.... I never met with anyone about this position. I never talked to anyone about this position. Not impressed with this company. I don't know what type of professional recruiting agency allows their employees to be so disrespectful. I have been registered with this company for many years, and have been assigned exactly ONE position. ONE. And it was NOT a positive experience. Each time they've called, I've agreed to meet with them based on the promise that they have the "perfect" position for me. And every meeting has seen them completely unprepared, and in the middle the interviewer has to go conference with their superior (who they characterize as "partner") just to come back to tell me the position I came in for has been filled. I started explaining that I didn't want them to waste my - or their! - time, so were they sure they'd place me (this on subsequent calls). I was repeatedly assured that all would be well. Not true. Stay far away from this place unless you need any job you can get for $12-$13 at the cost of your dignity. I worked for Netflix years ago through Aerotek; as any "survivor" can tell you, it was a complete disaster. They lied about pay on the behalf of Netflix, giving lip-service for several months about how there was a need for further review before anyone would get the promised wage. I quit after the "third review" and promised to never go back to Aerotek again. That was five years ago. Over the past couple of months I have been getting voicemail messages from one recruiter, stating the same hackneyed message: "we believe your background fits perfectly the needs of one of our clients." In the few short interactions I had with this person when I returned her phone calls, I still detected an air of insincerity that I was all too familiar with from Aerotek. Nonetheless, I was looking for work and agreed to an interview. Some things never change. I dont like giving scathing assessments, but when you work for Aerotek, the gloves are off. She was fake, rushed, and insincere, from her introduction to us sitting in one of the interview rooms. Her tone was flat and she really didnt seem to care about anything I had to say. I denoted a passive-aggressive attitude. I also got the distinct impression she was always on edge to dismiss my answers and carefully parse her own. She clearly did not like her job. In fact, the instant I asked about the position I had agreed to interview for, she became defensive, actually using the words "And I remember exactly what I said to you." She stated that the position had already been filled, and that it paid several dollars more than the wage they usually pay. I asked if she had called me in for another opening they had in mind, and she indirectly answered "we have opportunities that come into our office all the time that you may be suited for." I was then shuttled out as quickly as possible. The elapsed time of this "interview" today was only about five minutes. The reason why? The moment I said that my minimum acceptable wage was only a dollar above theirs, the interview was over. She behaved as though I had wasted her time, but she actually wasted mine; I could have told her this over the phone. Asking to meet her in person was clearly a ploy on her part to see how desperate I was to accept whatever positions they had available. These jobs are bottom of the barrel. It is reprehensible that they are still paying people the same $12 an hour wage they did five years ago for the same burnout jobs. The job she wanted me to take was in collections for Wells Fargo, one of the worst jobs out there known to the community of temp workers. For $12 an hour. No, thank you. I left their office today feeling the same queasiness, disgust and repulsion that I did when I allowed myself to be taken advantage of by them years ago. read more

I walked into Aerotek with hopes to find work. As soon as I walked in, I was treated rude by a blonde her lady. She voiced me down as if I shouldn't be there. She offered me a 2 week job for 10.00. I over heard her giving another guy a 17 an hour with a two year contract. It was the same type of work I do. So I spoke with the Sup Brad. He stated that he would call me about that particular job but he never called. Was I just another black face to make monthly signup quota? Yelp or No? read more

This is by far the worst, most used car salesman temp agency I've ever worked with. They got me a job. A great one at that. This job was going to turn into a permanent job at the end, no maybes-it was to be. It was a pilot project I was assigned to. It was great. I was leading my team, I never called out or missed a single day. Not one. I kept asking when it would end and the change oVer would occur and no one had answers but I was reassured over and over that I'd have a job. And I'd definitely not be out of a job before Xmas. Lo and behold, my boss (nothing to do with aerotek) tells us the project is ending on December 2nd. Ok, cool. Talked to my recruiter, Josh (who is a supervisor at aerotek) and he told me that it was all good and nothing would change, not my salary, nothing. He even said that nows the time to ask for a raise for myself! So, I went into the interview that I thought was a technicality and told them my desired wage, and that I'd like to maintain the same schedule. They were great! And I knew it wasn't an issue and was excited to start my career. Then, I got the email. I didn't get the job. No explanation, nothing. Out of everyone on the pilot project, I was the only woman that applied and the only one not hired. Called my recruiter and he said it was all good, he'd find me something but to contact him mid November. Didn't even have empathy. I thought that was weird-he knew my job was ending and I needed a job. I contacted him a short time later and he never responded. Not once. I should mention that during this whole thing I was skeptical. So skeptical I asked Eddy Ponce via FB (the way we've been communicating) to find me another job. Mid conversation he stopped responding and never responded to me again. He's TERRIBLE. Josh lost his mind when I left the job. I found a new one, no thanks to them and so, because they didn't give me the respect I deserved and the project was ending in 2 weeks- I just never returned. Clearly, this bruised Joshs ego because he lost his mind. I told him that he didn't respect me so I didn't feel the need to respect him. He said "yeah, whatever Jessica, that's not true at all" no empathy throughout any of it. I have to return my equipment and have never said I wouldn't but the hours with my new job don't line up with aeroteks hours so I told eddy that I can't return them and was trying to figure it out. He forwarded my email to Josh and Josh was aggressive and rude with a clearly bruised ego. Talking about how he got me a great job and I left it so I didn't deserve respect. Terrible business. I was gaslighted and lied to THE ENTIRE TIME. They are used car salesman for jobs. Do not trust them. He's mad because I lost him some money. Well, your lies and gaslighting lost me an entire income right before Xmas. He deserted me and left me with no answers. I dedicated my life to this job. I showed them I was a great worker and never made a single mistake. They chewed me up and spit me out and didn't care. Don't trust them. I wish I could give them fewer stars than this. I became employed with Aerotek because Netflix, while allowing people to APPLY on the Netflix website, doesn't do direct hires. Not so. Dropped like a used diaper once the fury over Netflix's first price hike started to pass. Well, Aerotek generously found me another job, doing 'information gathering' on 'warm leads.' Out and out lie. Try 'cold calling telemarketing selling SEO with Logical Position.' I now see via Google reviews that this is not an anomaly, but how Aerotek does business. When the manager of Logical Position stood behind my bank of desks and yelled, 'THIS IS BULLS***!' because we weren't making enough sales, I was honestly frightened. Sorry, but I expect a professional, unthreatening work environment. I told Aerotek what had happened and that I needed to be reassigned. They told me I should have given two weeks' notice (I suppose I should have known I would be subjected to verbal abuse in advance, and since I didn't, should have cheerfully gone back for more) and so they couldn't place me anywhere else. While I really hope that any other potential job seekers out there have better luck than I have with utilizing Aerotek as a means to find employment, I would not hold my breath. In fact, I would not trust them with a burnt out match, let alone depend on them for a way to make a living. When I first contacted Aerotek, they had a position listed as "Material Handler" through the Oregon Employment Department. I sent an email inquiry, set up time to come in and fill out their paperwork, and DID in fact have an initial interview with an Aerotek recruiter. As soon as I was done and my profile had been entered into their system--which, by the way, is how those recruiters get paid: by gaffing people into their system--I was informed that they had "just sent like, six people out for that position, so it's no longer available". And, I had already read through a few reviews here, so this gave me a sinking, familiar feeling. Two weeks, five phone calls, and three emails later, I was sent out to Kershaw Knives in Tualatin for an interview. NOW things seemed to be moving along. Not so...this was on a Thursday, and I spent my last $10 on gas to truck out there. The interview itself went very well. I had a good conversation with Kershaw's H.R. lady and the production manager. To my mind, they liked me, and I was looking forward to being hired on. Then I called Aerotek the next day, and my recruiter was "unavailable". In fact, nearly ALL Aerotek recruiters are frequently "unavailable"...no matter WHEN you call, or are SUPPOSED TO CALL. So, I got to wait until Monday, and was then informed that Kershaw decided to "fill the position internally". What this translates to is, Kershaw planned to use one of their existing employees to fill this job all along...but, because of their contract with Aerotek, they're bound to an agreement to interview anyone that Aerotek sends out there. I, and six other people had half our days wasted thanks to this bureaucratic monkey-shine. When I called Aerotek to follow up on yet another phantom job listing that the Employment Department had posted, my recruiter was (surprise, surprise) unavailable, and the junior staffer there who took my call goofed and admitted that I was correct in my assessment of the situation with Kershaw. Now, when I call, there are amazingly NO positions available that I manage to qualify for, despite over a decade in industrial manufacturing and mid-level management. Be very, VERY cautious in how much you depend/believe in what ANYBODY from Aerotek tells you. If you contact them about a job listed someplace else, and it's mysteriously "already been filled", hang up, move on, and save yourself a huge headache and mountain of frustration. The only use I have for Aerotek is as an example of how some agencies enjoy jacking folks who are desperate for a job around, and what to avoid in the future. read more

This company is HORRIBLE. They find you a job at a horrible employer and then when there is an issue with the employer they blame you. You arent a team player, you arent working hard enough. They call you every day to check how things are going to make sure your not doing anything wrong. Then when you get injured on the job they still treat you like crap. It took them over 6 weeks to file with the occupational health and workmans comp. - Illegal by the way- They called the day of my procedure and complained about me not being a team player. The company they employed me at was even worse. The company staff and supervisors cussed me out. They looked the other way and never said anything when another employee physically pushed me at work. They treated me horribly after I was injured on the job. They threatened me. And when I finally quit after 3 months Aerotek told me they didnt have time to hear why I quit.
