Terrible company that doesn't even take the chance to fit staff with the proper jobs. This company…read moreseems like they want to fill a job with a body as soon as possible. I sent them resume months ago and one day Saba at this company contacted me for a questionable and dubious accounting job. If you read the lines in the detail, the job was nothing but a bookkeeper and prepares tax returns for small businesses which is not something any accountant would like to do working for someone else. I politely declined but they kept pushing me. I told them again that I am not interested for this type of work so they piled on more nonsense by telling me the type of culture and how the job was located in downtown blah blah blah. Later I interviewed with owner just so I can tell him in person that I was not interested and the recruiter they hired should stop contacting me. After the interview I sternly told Saba that this was not a good position and I was not interested. She replied with a "thumbs up image and said great!". Wtf are you even reading what I sent you??? Complete waste of everybody's time. Finally after another week, I get a email saying I did not get the position. Like as if I cared at that point or at any point during the recruitment phase with this company. The recruiters seems like they don't even read your application to know your skills, or even know the person. They will match you with jobs that are way beneath your experience or what your looking for.

I gave this agency 1 star because I couldn't give it a zero star rating. I was placed by them in…read morea job that I was dubious about at a salary far below my experience level - but took it anyway and decided to give the place a chance. The firm I was placed with was terribly disorganized and the equipment I had to work with was either broken or on its way to the scrap heap. But I decided to persevere. Then I wasn't paid for my time. I advised Ranstad that unless the issue was resolved, I would be leaving. They assured me that they had resolved the matter for me and I would be paid (I found out later that I was told that so I would stay). I was not paid for all my time, so I again warned Ranstad I would be leaving. I did speak to management and was not successful in resolving the matter. So I did leave. However, I was in contact with Ranstad and reached out to the firm via telephone and email a number of times with no success. Now I know the agency relies on their commissions - and of course I made them no money. So I was dismissed and Ranstad wouldn't return my emails or calls. Very shoddy behaviour - they could have rescued the placement by helping me when asked to, or at least listening to my side of what happened. The recruiter I was working with was discussing me with another placement they had at the firm - and information was exchanged which should have remained between myself and the recruiter. In short, a very unprofessional agency.

I know there are people looking for work and wanting too help out with the fort mac restoration but…read moreI strongly advise everyone too think twice working for spirit staffing / FLS. . I was hired by these people for a job in Fort mac hired as a operator working for Ceda at syncrude. First off we had too do tickets before we left on Easter weekend .signed a contract with them stating we would be paid $26.25 an hour... we had too find our own way too Edmonton on our own dime.. we were supposed too leave that day on the bus and ended up staying in edmonton on our own dime once again.. finally left the next evening and was told we would be paid for our drive up too fort mac on a hourly rate.. That didn't happen.. we get too camp an hour north from Fort mac and the morning we have too do a 7 day training too redo all the tickets we have already did the weekend before .. our contract stated that we were being paid $26.25 an hour then we find out this isn't true.. for the 7 days training course we are only paid $21 for operators and $18 for labours ... This company is full of miscommunication lack of professionalism and charges for tickets you didn't even need too take because the Ceda did the exact same tickets .. This is my experience of this company and I am only trying too save others the same headache I incruded. Take this as you will and I hope it gives you a window of what you can expect from this company..

Just to warn people out there, but these guys are scammers. And I will explain why in a very long,…read moredetailed post. I've been job hunting on Indeed for a few months consistently now and suddenly in the last two weeks a bunch of help wanted ads popped up through Indeed's job spotter thing. Job spotter is where people can take pictures of help wanted signs and then post it on Indeed so that online job seekers can see them too. Well, these pictures of help wanted signs were all posted at the same time in a row, every other day, and all in the same area (some with addresses right next or near each other). Most of them were close up pictures of the signs and then an off angle picture of the business. Some of them even had a picture of the sign taped OUTSIDE to the door while the store was closed. They weren't choosy about which businesses they targeted either. Hardware stores, ethnic food stores, restaurants, pharmacies, doctor's offices, medical laboratories all proclaimed, "Help Wanted! Inquire within". I finally came across a picture that also had a sign beside the help wanted sign, both also taped outside the door of an Indian dance studio, that said A Helping Hand with their phone number. A quick google searched revealed they were a "staffing agency". If you google the words, "job spotter fake," a news article on The Sun UK pops up about a scam people do by posting fake job ads without the business' consent. You apparently get Amazon vouchers every time you upload a picture onto Job Spotter, so some people abuse this to get free vouchers. So, just a heads up to people who get involved with this company. P.S. I see they are in the business of posting fake reviews about themselves online too LOL.
