We had a great experience wth AeroCITY transfers in Barcelona! I highly recommend this service, especially for the price (about $50 roundtrip for two people). We arrived into Barcelona Airport and the AeroCITY desk in Terminal 1 was very easy to find. The attendant was very personable, knowledgeable, and nice. There was a little wait before we got going, but that is to be expected due to having to wait on other passengers for a full van. The van was very spacious and clean. It had WiFi in the car which was nice, to be able to check our messages and email we missed while on the long flight to Barcelona. The driver was kind (a little quiet) and knew his way around very well. The return trip was even better (we booked a roundtrip transfer at the beginning and end of our trip)! We had an 8am pickup at our hotel for our 11:20am departure flight. We stepped out of our hotel lobby after checking out, and the AeroCITY van was just pulling in. It was 7:56am - perfect timing! We got to the airport with no issue at all and made our way home. Great, timely, and reliable service! read more

Let's see, overpriced cabs in the middle of the night or a "suggested" shuttle service that closes pretty much after you land for a relatively cheap price. Obviously you know the route I ended up taking, and honestly it was not half bad! I have had my fair share of shuttle services all over and some had me shaking my head while others were absolutely fabulous! Based on the Yelp reviews and dare I say it (trip.....advisor), I was a tad nervous about booking with them. Some had great experience while others fell flat, but I ended up booking through another site that offered a refund in case anything went wrong. Let's see, wheels on the ground, 30 ish minutes to reach them before they closed for the night/morning. Figured it was worth it as my hotel was quite a distance from the airport, so I am sure the taxi's would of gouged my wallet. Fast forward to the landing and the running to the bag carousel to grab our stuff, only to rush to the booth where the staff at Aerocity were patiently waiting for us (Pheww). Check in was straight forward (Handed over the paperwork and verified identity). The nice gentleman offered to carry our bags, but between the 13 hour flight and rushing, I was hard coherent and just carried them myself. Short jog to the newish van, which we shared with a nice couple from France. The driver with another employee in tow (I assume a drop off at home for the end of their shift) was very cautious and we never felt unsafe, which is a huge bonus! Not much chatter from them, but honestly I was completely fine with that, I was looking forward to face planting into a bed. Drop off had no issues and a friendly wave from the driver and they were off to drop off the other couple, no forced tipping or anything. Short, but to the point review. I know many other had terrible experiences based on the few reviews I read, but in all honestly I would use them again, but that is just my opinion. read more

Three strikes and you're out So shitty, Aerocity You do bad business We used Aerocity as a cheaper alternative to get from the Barcelona airport to our hotel. Big mistake. Would have been much better off paying for a cab fare. Strike #1: We arrived at Terminal 1 at the Barcelona airport in the early afternoon and made our way down to the Aerocity storefront. The window was shuttered with no sign indicating why or where else we may need to go. Luckily, we encountered a fellow traveler who spoke Catalan and inquired several of the airport employees. Eventually found out that they have another storefront at Terminal 2 so we took the shuttle over. Strike #2: Got to an employee of Aerocity in Terminal 2. He repeatedly assured us that our shuttle van would be there in no time. We waited over two hours when there was only one other customer in front of us (the lady who helped us out at Terminal 1). Strike #3: After finally getting in our shuttle van, it broke down about one mile away from the airport. We were stranded on the side of a busy freeway on a hot Barcelona day with no AC in the van. Initially we were told it would be a half hour or hour to get another van to come and pick us up off the side of the freeway. One of the members of our group went apeshit on our driver (deservedly so). Another van got there in about 15 minutes. Thanks for ruining the start of our vacation, Aerocity. JUST DON'T DO IT. I was pulled off a flight from Heathrow to Barcelona because I passed out during the take off and was incapacitated for a few hours before being able to call to cancel my car. When I did call, they had ZERO sympathy for my situation and would not give a refund or work with me to reschedule my pick up when I did arrive. I then followed up by email after my trip asking if a signed and dated doctor's note would help my case but they again sent a flippant reply. " Thank you for the email. Unfortunaley I AM sorry for what happen and hope that you are better, but unfortunately we cannot provide a full refund as the driver was there at THE TIME and waiting more than 1 hour" read more

Those guys are terrible. I strongly do not recommend them. We've been in the airport for 35 min until we where able to find there agent siting on a chair away from the meeting point she had the card with her company name in her bag. No signs with our name. It is impossible to work with them. After finding her she call the base and sh told us that we have to wait an additional 30 min for the car to arrive at the airport. Before my trip to Spain I decided to look up a cheaper alternative to cabs , I came across Aero City. Booking online can get a little confusing simple because the way the site is set up but it's easy enough that u can manage. Experience #1 I booked the shuttle service from the Madrid airport to our Hotel in Madrid , we arrived at the Aero stand & it was closed .. Now it was very early around 630am so I had to call the main office to figure out what was going on apparently the driver was sent to another terminal & the clerk was late in opening the stand I guess no big deal but this was a bit of a pain because we had to go fishing for it. what if u don't have access to a phone? Having international service of course helps but let's face it not everyone has it or is willing to pay for it. Once everything was settled we were on our way into Madrid , nice shuttle van comfy & the driver was very friendly. Experience #2 , I booked the shuttle by calling the office directly leaving from the Hotel to the Madrid airport this worked out well. Experience #3 This time from Barcelona airport into Barcelona once we arrived in Barcelona no problem in finding the stand because there was a rep waiting for us , this was of course a plus. Same service nice shuttle , even nicer driver. Experience #4 Final round from our hotel in Barcelona to the airport , same good service. Now I had no problems with experiences #1,3 & 4 ... #2 on the other hand was an issue because the reservation was paid in cash & they ended up charging my credit card as well. Quite the inconvenience since I had to call them to figure out what had happened , they ended up giving me an email address I could use to send my receipt & asked them to investigate the charge. I emailed my receipt with an explanation & the next day I had a response & an apology for the mix up as well as confirmation that the money would be refunded to my credit card , this was great considering I thought it would take time to resolve & it did not. Reservations need to be made a day in advance & they do require a credit card to make the reservations but u can pay in cash. Experiences 1 & 4 were paid by credit card equal to $26.01USD or 21 euros for 2 when paying in cash like for experiences 2 & 3. I'd definitely would say if u make reservations leave on the credit card & try not to pay in cash this way u can avoid being charge twice. Overall the shuttle was a good option to have decent prices , with the exception of the first time they were on time , friendly drivers & nice shuttle buses. read more

We reserved an Aerocity round-trip Madrid airport transfer from US through Expedia. We were met at the airport by a driver with our name, who helped us with our suitcases. Very pleasant experience, the price was good, and we didn't have to look for a taxi after a long transatlantic flight. The company contacted me beforehand by email and phone to get flight and hotel information. The one minor hiccup was that when reserving through Expedia, they don't ask for a number of passengers, and just state that you need one vehicle for up to four passengers, but I don't think Aerocity is aware of this, and their paperwork listed only one passenger in our case. But four of us (2 adults + 2 kids) fit in an arranged sedan without a problem, with our two large suitcases and 2 or 3 carry-on items. Good experience overall, will use the service again when traveling to Madrid. read more

Frauds, thieves, and liars! I booked my airport to hotel transfer with Ares Mobile thru Expedia. Flight arrived at 10:30 p.m. with a tired family and sick kid. Went to the Ares Mobile counter only to be told that despite by reservation, they had no vehicles available for at least two hours! Same for the half dozen people in line behind me. They assured me of a full refund, "just call Expedia," so I cancelled the return trip. Two weeks later, still no refund. After 70 minutes on the phone with Expedia, Ares Mobile agrees to refund me only half my fare. Because my return trip was less than 96 hours from my flight arrival, I hadn't cancelled in time to they charged me for the return trip, they first told the Expedia agent. Then, they claimed that they had sent the return trip vehicle, but we weren't there. So, which story is it, Ares? It is clear, the story is that you are not reliable, and then after screwing over clients with unavailable service, you screw them over again with fake charges and lies. Clients beware! read more

We arrived at Madrid-Barajas with no reservation. As I walked to the end of T1, I found their kiosk. With no reservation, I was able to secure a ride for the three of us to the Atocha train station to continue our journey. I spoke "enough" spanish, and the agent continued in english. Our group of four used this service to be taken from our hotel to the airport. I booked over the phone the night before and got a confirmation #. It helped greatly that I purchased a SIM card for Spain, so I could make all local calls, etc. The girl who took our reservation wrote down the wrong hotel, so our driver was about 10 minutes late. However, they called me right away and got things straightened out quickly. Our driver was courteous and it cost our party of 4 only 40€ to be taken to the airport in a nice van. We requested the express service - no other stops along the way. The taxi would have been 30€ per couple as we would have needed 2 of them with our luggage. read more
