The job was sloppy, causing damage and my frustration. Current Issue (July 2026): The A/C unit has failed completely after ~1.5 years. My home is 92°F with a puppy inside -- unsafe conditions. Despite the signed 5-year warranty, Britt's refused service and flagged my account. This shows deficient workmanship, negligence, and breach of contract/warranty. I have tried direct resolution without success. Requested Resolution: Immediate warranty repair or full replacement. Reimbursement for installation damage. Removal of account flag. Attached: Contract, warranty, communications, photos. Please mediate for a fair, prompt fix.

We were not existing customers but called for help when our a/c unit quit running when we were in high 90 degree temperatures. Their repairman was at our house within 2 hours. The repairman told us he could do a temporary fix to buy us some time but eventually we would need to replace our system. Unfortunately the temporary fix did not work and within 24 to 36 hours Assurance ordered and installed our new system. During the time our system was down, they provided us with 2 portable air conditioner units to keep us comfortable until the new system was installed. Were going to charge me $300 to replace the capacitor until I pointed out my warranty. They replaced it with the cheapest Chinese capacitor you can get ($9.99 on Amazon) and charged me the $80 labor. Year 9, system isn't running, have to call them again (10yr warranty) this time they tell me my compressor is old and needs more power to run, I point out my warranty and they said this isn't covered. I paid them $300 to put a "kick starter" on. Called the office multiple times to argue my warranty, never got a call back and then find the location in my town is closed. System goes out again. I diagnose and it's the cheap capacitor, I buy a new one put it in. Woke up this morning to no AC, take a look and that $300 "kick starter" has blown the top of it's case off. On a hunch I remove it and the system works fine. It never needed a kick starter, it needed a new quality capacitor.
