My A/C went out Monday…read more On Monday, Hunter came and quickly diagnosed the problem as needing a new motor blower. He was a great guy. He told me they were closed in the office as it was after 5 (It was 4:50) so he couldn't get me an estimate on it for me to approve until first thing in the morning, on Tuesday. It was $55 for the service call, which is better than anywhere I had used. There was no estimate in the morning. At around 2pmish I received a text and email stating the work on my A/C has been completed and to give them a review. Naturally I gave them one star as the work was not completed. I called and was furious as I should be. The receptionist told me they had been to my house today (Tuesday) so the work was completed. I said nobody came to my house today, he came on Monday and said the office was closed as it was after 5 when it wasn't quite 5 and he would send me the estimate to approve first thing in the morning that didn't happen. I said again the text and email were wrong the work wasn't completed. She stated that meant it was completed because they came to the house. She's wrong. No other company I have used has ever sent a text or email that stated work is completed when they had to come back out to finish their job. I was then given a quote of $2,000 for the motor blower, which the guy knew was too much so he was working on an estimate for a retrofit just then thanks to me calling. That was still an outrageous $500 but I needed it fixed so I took it. A different guy, Cody, who was very nice came to my house on Wednesday and stated it would take 45 minutes if all went right or an hour and a half if it didn't all go right. Well he took it out fairly quickly and went outside and spent at least an hour outside the van doing who knows what before he came back in to install it. It took an hour and 45 minutes from when he arrived until when he left. I have had 5 or 6 of these put in and they have taken 30 minutes to install and less than 15 minutes to fill out paperwork for me to sign. He didn't give me any paperwork just a receipt sent to email so it should have only taken about 30 minutes. Well it cooled down I ran to eat and shop. I came back home and it was working except it makes some kind of noise upon starting. I'm hoping that goes away in time or I'll be using Crimson to come fix it. I will not be using Jay's again. Anyone who loves Jay's please use him. Everyone has different experiences and that's okay! I believe Jay's has some things they need to work on.

Were going to charge me $300 to replace the capacitor until I pointed out my warranty. They replaced it with the cheapest Chinese capacitor you can get ($9.99 on Amazon) and charged me the $80 labor. Year 9, system isn't running, have to call them again (10yr warranty) this time they tell me my compressor is old and needs more power to run, I point out my warranty and they said this isn't covered. I paid them $300 to put a "kick starter" on. Called the office multiple times to argue my warranty, never got a call back and then find the location in my town is closed. System goes out again. I diagnose and it's the cheap capacitor, I buy a new one put it in. Woke up this morning to no AC, take a look and that $300 "kick starter" has blown the top of it's case off. On a hunch I remove it and the system works fine. It never needed a kick starter, it needed a new quality capacitor.

Now the unit is now unlevel and the weeds are growing up into the unit. I reached out to company and had them come and look at it. He stated that he would work out an invoice and price. It's now been almost two weeks and a couple of phone calls with the promise to send it, I still have not gotten anything from them . I would not trust this company!
