I think most small businesses in niche categories get a bad rap from customers who are more used to being petted and coddled by major retailers than actually getting to know an establishment. Aero tech may not be perfect, but like anything, it is what you make it. I'm new to the hobby, and the staff have answered my questions completely every time, whether they be dumb questions or misnaming a part I need. As for the other reviews here, they seem out of line to me. Especially mr. "I'm a big important businessman, I'm important!" This is a pretty good local business, with prices that are in line with what a certain online retailer offers. Plus, from what I can tell, questions are welcome. read more

Aero Tech Hobbies - Toy Stores Near Me - North Canton, Ohio

Really nice little shop! The type of place that any new products come out they will have it. Owner was very nice and friendly actually had a very nice conversation with him. I'm from Columbus Ohio but this place would be worth the trip if I had to come up. read more

I walked in to Aero Tech with the express purpose of buying an inexpensive (under $200) quad copter for my friend who is so ham handed, he can't seem to get a grasp on flying a single rotor heli. The sign on the front said Drone headquarters or something like that. Inside, there was a decent display inside so I started to look at the boxes, trying to decide which one (more likely two) to buy. There were two men and a young girl behind the counter. One man was just chatting with someone and the other was ringing up a sale. The guy at the register was done and i expected him to approach me to help. At one point, I even walked up to the counter with a box and started reading it. At no time did anyone attempt to approach me. The register guy just stood there and the other one kept on just chatting. I stood at the counter for about five minutes. I returned to the display up front and looked at the others. I even took a quad hanging on a hook down and examined it. More minutes went by so I walked out of the store. As a large business owner with 125 locations in the US, Ireland and the UK, I would have cleaned house, fired everyone and started over. The sad part of this story is that i suspected the guy who was talking was the owner who must either be doing this for a hobby because he's independently wealthy or just plain stupid and clueless as to how to run a business. Bottom line... I was ready to buy but, they certainly lost a sale of two quads at around $170.00 each. Perhaps I should have asked for some service but, that should not be necessary in any retail establishment. Just to put things in the proper context, I already own a Phantom one, A Phantom two and I just purchased a Phantom 4 ($1,400), so I know my quads. I'm going to buy two, just for play, inexpensive quadcopters to fool around with when I'm visiting the area. However, I will buy them as soon as I meet a salesman. Unfortunately, Aero Tech has none that I could see. Bruce Williams read more

I am new to the area and wanted to get my RC gas powered car up and running. Needed to have the carb adjusted because it was running rich. Dropped off my RC car to have a tuneup done on it. They told me every time I stopped in that it was on the bench and it would be 3 or 4 more days. I stated they told me that every time you tell me to come back and it would be ready. After 2 weeks I just picked it up. I would recommend finding another shop to buy what you need and to get service done. read more

The rc hobby shop of choice, this is a true radio controlled store. Planes, cars, boats, helicopters and drones. Anything from the most basic beginner models to the advanced models. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable. read more

This place is garbage. You spend hundreds of dollars on things guaranteed to work and then end up driving back to the place 5 times to get things halfway figured out. Stay Away from this place. You'll have a better experience ordering something from the Internet and crossing your fingers and hope it comes in one piece.I have gotten 3 different things from Aero Tech hobbies and nothing has 2ork ed out for me yet. Got 400$ in planes that look cool but don't function. Also the owner 5old me he would take care of the problems for free had 2 people in the store then proceeded to tell me he was to busy to fix the problem and also charged me for the parts that were to be replaced for free. If I had been the one to break or ruin the parts I would happily pay but to buy a guaranteed in working order plane and have to take it back numerous times to find it in fact don't work and the owner would not fix it. F them and his place of business. Go anywhere else read more
