All they were supposed to do is put a request in for an RFSMRI For my bilateral hips and a second one for my lumbar. And it will take only a week or so to get approved or disapprove. They keep saying they cannot request an MRI when they can when the community care manager of my case even says they can she gave them directions and what to do to fill out the form and they gave them her personal fax number so she can submit the paperwork in and get it approved or disapproved within a week. Now it is two months later, Dr. Ross has not even once returned my phone call only once when she got back after her two week vacation saying they will look into it and they have not done any request. Dr. Ross has not returned any of my phone calls and every time I show up to the place of business she's already left for the day my case manager who's in charge of my report said that they can request an MRI. They just need to fill out the form correctly and then fax it to the right person. They have the fax number but they have not even done it once And this is two months later I am forced to go back to my primary doctor which he still cannot see me due to his car accident and he can't go to work only from home. That's why I was requested to come to this location so we can get diagnose and submit those MRIs so I can find out if I need surgery which I believe I do in two locations. I'm very disappointed. They're not taking my matters very serious. I am still in some serious pain and hurting then I've been waiting for now close to 4 to 5 months for an MRI and these people here put me behind another two more months. I am very disappointed on this location and a little bit with Dr. Ross for not returning any of the phone calls back that I asked for except for the first one when she came back from vacation, I will acknowledge that They are very incompetent and their front desk. Lady probably needs to be fired because she doesn't seem to be passing on the information. So if you need an MRI done with this company, I would not go to them because they're just gonna give you a bunch of runaround and bullshit excuses.

Otherwise, trainees took me through the motions. Never telling me if i were doing the exercises correctly or re-adjusting my position. It was a "here put your legs here and go. count to 30...." I had a nice trainee Luiz a couple times who was at least friendly. The young woman at the front desk Elizabeth was friendly but did not return calls. I would try to reach them to reschedule but unless I kept calling until she took the call - NOTHING. I was very disappointed in the lack of quality care. And more disappointed that Gene the actual PT was so hands off. In the end, my pain did not decrease, my balance was off for days and new pains arose from their suggested exercises. I would not recommend this place. It is dark, old, dingy, and dusty. Not welcoming at all. All Star Physical Therapy is a NO STAR!!!!!!

I am very disappointed with my experience at All-Star Physical Therapy in Rancho Mirage…read more From the beginning, I was given conflicting information regarding my insurance benefits. I personally contacted my insurance company, and they confirmed that under my PPO plan, a physician referral was not required for physical therapy. Despite this, the clinic told me that I needed to obtain a referral. Even though it was not required by my insurance, I went out of my way to see a doctor and obtain the referral simply to comply with what the clinic requested. After making that effort, I was then told that they had never received the referral. Nevertheless, the clinic continued providing therapy to me. Later, I was suddenly told that my insurance had been "red flagged" and that I supposedly no longer had benefits. This was extremely confusing, especially since they had continued processing my visits and collecting the $50 portion associated with my coverage. Instead of receiving a clear explanation or having someone thoroughly investigate what could have been an insurance or administrative error, I felt as though the easiest solution for them was simply to deny me service. My interaction with Marina was particularly disappointing. In my experience, she was uncooperative and rude, and I did not feel that she was willing to go above and beyond to investigate or resolve the situation. Insurance companies and medical offices can make mistakes, and I would have expected someone in this position to verify the information and determine whether there was an error before denying a patient continued service. Instead, I was left with the impression that there was very little interest in helping me resolve the problem. I was also disappointed with the customer service at the front desk in general. In my experience, the personnel often appeared unfriendly and not particularly willing to help. A physical therapy facility should understand that many patients walking through its doors are dealing with pain, injuries, physical limitations, or difficult and sometimes traumatic circumstances. Patients are there because they need help. Kindness, patience, professionalism, and empathy can make an enormous difference. I also had concerns about the level of supervision during some of my therapy sessions. There were occasions when I was completing exercises and waiting for someone to check on me or tell me what exercise to do next, while staff members appeared more interested in having conversations with coworkers at the front desk. When patients are performing exercises for an injury, I believe appropriate attention and supervision are important, not only for the quality of treatment but also for the patient's safety. I made every effort to cooperate with this office, including obtaining a physician referral that my insurance company specifically told me was not required. I did what was asked of me, yet I was still left feeling unwelcome and singled out. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but that is genuinely how this experience made me feel. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and reviews how my situation was handled. Patients seeking physical therapy deserve accurate information, consistency, appropriate supervision, respectful customer service, and, most importantly, compassion and empathy--especially when they are already dealing with an injury or a difficult recovery.
