The West Monroe, Louisiana Terminix field office is a complete joke. I have reached out numerous…read moretimes regarding a mice treatment I paid $160 for, and the service was never completed. Technician Cody Evans showed up, sprayed my house for insects instead of addressing the mice issue, then told me he would return to place bait traps. He never came back. I repeatedly contacted the lead supervisor, Paul Gunby, and received no response whatsoever. I then escalated the issue to the corporate office requesting a full refund, and I am still waiting to hear from the local general manager. What's especially telling is that before my money was paid, I was able to reach both the supervisor and the technician. Once payment was made, all communication stopped. Calls to the local office now go unanswered. This office has zero accountability, terrible communication, and no problem taking money without providing services. I feel completely taken advantage of. Do not trust the West Monroe field office with your money.

A month ago we needed to replace the columns and railing on our front porch. We found termite damage in the one column. We called terminex and were informed we had requested the termite clause be removed in 2016 and only wanted outdoor pest control. We did not do that. We called another company that had come highly recommended by several of our friends. After their inspection we were told that no pest control had been done. Luckily for us there was no termite damage to the house. The damage we did find was old. We had been paying terminex for nothing. We were lied to about canceling our contract and lied to about the pest control being done.

Checked the cameras and the tech had opened the gate to come in left it open while he sprayed. Don't have video of him leaving but the gate was in the exact position when I went outside as it was on the video. Our eight year old son had a meltdown thinking it was his fault that he didn't check the gate. Called to explain our issue and was told they would make a note in the system to close the gate from now on. Figured that was day one stuff that should be gone over with all employees entering people's property. Great service, but you might lose a dog. We cancelled our service.

Let the search begin: places call to what I thought was larger local company with a catchy jingle, phone was answered in Tennessee. Deal seemed fair and bug companies are like locksmiths, one operator that has bought all companies locally and now operates in disguise as a small one man shop. After 4 attempts, yes that's four, to send me a contract to sign so they will come out, still have the address wrong in the contract, not signing a wrong contract and really if you can't pay attention long enough to write that down what else do you neglect? After all, if you can't get a man to take care of you on the front where they get paid, imagine trying to get them when you need something and have already paid. Turned to my yelp buds for guidance, no real help there as most reviews were generic and seemed to mainly refer to large national chains, we have already covered that. Riding down the street found Carey doing some admin work at a trailer he uses as office on my street. What a lucky moment! I stopped and spoke with him, very nice talk and small operator, my goal. He was able to send a man down that day and what a great guy he is, ran a whopping 5 min late and called to let me know? What? Can this be the way to start a business relationship? Who on earth these days has respect for the customers time? Bug Hunter that's who. We are three days past spray and have removed a small army of roach corpses and not seen a single live bug. I hate to say they were $25 cheaper per service than the other clowns I tried to hire, and that's after Cooks dropped price $50 for first visit after incorrect contract #3. Ended up paying $150 bucks less for the year. Pay more, get less now you understand why I wanted a local guy not a national chain with advertising budgets and administration overload. Sometimes things work out for the best, after all if Cooks had been write, write, writing down what I was saying instead of singing look, look, looky here comes Cookie, Well you get the point, I can't believe a company spends that much on advertising and when a customer tries to hire, well they fumbled that possibility, and it was such a simple request, use the correct address for service location, ya' gotta have that right to find the house, no? The exterminator came over and put traps down and that's it. Not checking where the rodents could possibly be coming from or how they are coming in and out the house. The rodents weren't even going into the traps. After months we were still hearing them in the attic, we called the exterminator again and he just checked the traps and saw that they were empty and that's it. He also didn't go fully into the attic, he just stay on the ladder the entire time and placed the traps right by the doors. A few weeks after that I kept seeing rodents . We just called the exterminator back again and he never came. So we called again to have them pick up the traps cause it was a waste of money. We called someone else and they were able to do the job correctly.

We started hearing scratching and "activity" under our house in the bathroom (tub) a couple of…read moreweeks ago and I called Lewis as recommended by friends and family. To my surprise, by the end of the same day, Brent (wildlife specialist) was knocking on our door. He was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, but also very professional, and he went right to work checking under the house via our crawl space, while also pointing out "possible" entry areas for rodents. Unfortunately he did find evidence of recent "visitors" and immediately set up a plan of action that included bait boxes (gave full explanation) and then to close off entry areas once the active problem was resolved. He left saying that that it would most likely be late next week before he could come back with the boxes because he was so busy, but actually contacted me first thing Monday morning to let me know he would be out that afternoon. He came as promised and set up bait boxes all around the perimeter, showing me exactly where they were and again explaining the process in detail before he left with the plan to return next week to check them. As horrible as it is to know we have this problem, and hearing the evidence, it is such a relief to know it is being taken care of by such a great company and experienced professionals. I actually slept through the night for the first time since the entire nightmare began. Brent has been fantastic and I highly recommend calling Lewis Pest Control if you suspect you may have a rodent problem. Don't forget to request Brent Davidson if at all possible!
