I went to Dr DeRosa for a rhinoplasty and septoplasty, in June of 2023 after an accident I was in…read more The plan was to fix a "divot" in the bridge from the accident, straighten the nose, fixed a deviated septum I was born with, and make the tip a little less "bulbous." That is not what happened. The divot was still there, and she added cartilage to make the tip more pronounced which I never wanted! I spent thousands of dollars, which were completely wasted. I decided to go to another surgeon, in Boston, who finally fixed the deviated septum (I am starting to think she didn't even attempt that) and took out the extra cartilage in the tip. It now, looks natural, not like a ski slope. He was an amazing surgeon and I should have gone to him the first time. She also left me with a dull, constant pain in my nose. After this second surgery, the pain is gone. Complete waste of money.

I consider Dr. Hadlock to be one of the best Boston facial plastic surgeons. In particular, she specializes in blepharoplasty, facelifts, and rhinoplasty. I originally had Dr Hadlock work on my severely deviated septum, as she came highly recommended as one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in Boston. Her surgical skills were excellent! Unfortunately, due to the fact that she had to use ear cartilage to straighten my septum, it re-deviated. I assume insurance requires that she do the least invasive thing just. In this case, ear cartilage was less invasive than rib cartilage. This year, my jawline had softened to the extent where I justified having it tightened up a little, like it used to look in my twenties. Dr. Hadlock was able to re-create my more youthful jawline... And I am so happy with my results! I also opted in, at the same time, for a blepharoplasty, which involves taking a tiny amount of skin from the upper eyelids. Again, she did an excellent job, leaving my eyes, looking more open and less tired. I look like I came back from a fabulous vacation. THE DEAL: if you don't look as young as you feel, Dr. Hadlock may be able to bring back a more youthful shape to your face again. He really thought about his approach and took his time stitching both areas that were close to each other to minimalize the scarring. I remember him going back and forth from one side of the table to the other to really look at the area as he proceeded, he was meticulous. He also was very calming, talking to me as he worked. No one can detect the scar even after I point it out. About a year later, I had Moh's surgery again for a area on my nose. This time I needed a graft (gulp).
