Adzup recruited me to earn $5 per YouTube subscription they would send me. After a few of those, they said i needed to put at least $50 into a VIP task. I would receive $65 back within 30 minutes. When I said no thanks, they informed me my rate per subscription would decrease. Eventually down to $.01. So, I told them I'd like to withdraw my earnings and would no longer complete any tasks. This marketing agency created a video for our company without our approval and uploaded it to YouTube 7 years ago. Since then, I've repeatedly tried to get them to take it down because it is so poorly made and does not reflect what we do at all, but they just ignore my calls and emails. They are the only ones who have access to remove it. This company Adzzup, called me up to sell me their SEO services. They were pretty vague about what they would actually do they just said give us a try you really have nothing to lose. They dropped their price from $299 - 249 - 199 - 149 because they said I was sceptical about the money. He said he would get in trouble with his manager for going so low but he would do it for me today only. The funny thing was that manager was there giving him advice... They mentioned I had been burned before but don't take it out on them. I never mentioned I had been burned. The call was all based on assumptions that they have been trained to make to get you to buy their services. My real concern was it was a cold call and I had to buy today. There was no courtship or real promises of what they could do for our business. I asked repeatedly about what they would be doing because duplicate content is a big issue for Panda and I don't need to pay someone to hurt my company. Any time a company is going to create content that is not on your website and have a phone number that is not yours and you do not control makes the services temporary for your gain. When you leave because it is not what you expected you lose everything you invested. Only pay for SEO that you can control and keep. It is about representing yourself professionally would you trust your reputation to a stranger? At the end they let told me "Good Luck, because you are going to need it". Very very rude. Guy hung up on me. They keep calling me and its been annoying so I finally gave them a chance. He hung up on me and said "keep your day job". Thats a joke because this guy works in a office somewhere and I'm lying in bed making $$. They quoted me $199 for seo services then dropped it to $149. Cold calling is a difficult job which I understand but trying to pull some reverse psychology on someone isn't the way to do it. He tried to tell me my yelp reviews for my business don't mean anything because its all about google reviews. He kept trying to say yelp is dead... Sales rep is rude and way too aggressive. They push you into deals like no one else in the world wants it, and they claim that there are only 1 spot left on the first page of google. I was offered a $499/mo package for $199/mo, and will never adjust the price, I hesitate, and it got lover to $149/mo, I start to get suspicious (because I know good service cost money), and he even went so far to waive my fee on the first month, all I need is to pay the setup fee. If there are only 1 spot left, I am pretty sure they can sell it for a better price instead of giving me a huge discount. read more

Called them back after they left a message for me.. I always take every chance to hear from any company. I never want to miss an opportunity to improve my business or learn something new. I called back and I could automatically tell that the seller was reading a script. They did not know what my spa and salon consisted of, they did not know me.. He said things like, "I know 'social media' doesn't mean a lot to you" and started off the convo with shoving personal questions like "Are you the sole decision maker, how long have you been in business", without even getting to know my business and my story. I could already tell that they were not interested in a personal partnership that would benefit me.. Through a rough transition, the senior sales manager took the phone and started his sales pitch.. with the same verbiage. As soon as I said that we are with a different company at the moment, he automatically said, "How much do they charge?", and "Are you month to month?" When I refused to give him this information, he mechanically said, "Have good a day!", and hung up the phone before I could wish him the same. The website of a business, and its mobile site, are utterly important in this age. Do not skimp out on paying for a good website. Make sure the company you invest in knows about your business, specializes in websites, looks for your benefit, and has great customer service. You will lose untold amount of customers through a unorganized website.. We agree w/ Mark W. from Dallas. This is a big mistake and I caution any small business against going w/ this service UNLESS they have not already created their own website to begin with, and even then, I caution further research. We have LOST not only what we paid for this service, but untold amounts of money in lost business with their now defunct number and cheap looking website. My husband put a lot of time into developing a well ranking website with great content. It was only because we changed location that we were no longer ranking in our new community local listings. We were NOT given a choice as to having a separate phone number to track calls, and now that we have discontinued service w/ Adzzup, people who are our own previous clients that come in and out of town are finding this defunct number and getting a disconnect notice. A small few have been tenacious and asked those they know that know us if they had the correct number. New clients also land on their crappy 3 pg. website and are not finding the info they need, such as our fees, and when we explain that it the info is on our website, they get confused and become dubious of us. In fact the first call we had from this new number was another online marketer that called us relentlessly for a week wanting to optimize the site created by Addzzup saying it wasn't at all optimized well. Plus, when trying to fix the costly and massive errors of the defunct number and website, I was told by the rep (Bo or Beau?) that the sales person who no longer works their would have given us the option of having a different phone number to track calls coming from Adzzup which is ABSOLUTELY not the case. It was not given as an option. This type of marketing ends up being in competition w/ whatever you have created. It turns out that Google and search engines consider these websites w/ duplicated content to be a huge RED FLAG, and will ultimately leave your own site in poorer standing. Should you ever want to sell your business w/ the site you created, it will be worth much less. A manager did try to contact us yet did not follow through. This entire short stint of just over a month w/ Adzzup has been a huge mistake, and quite costly. Our clinic phone is hardly ringing for 3 weeks now. I asked for a refund, not because we are not willing to be responsible for our own mistakes in judgement, but for the ongoing damage. We have not yet been able to get rid of those defunct listings as getting these things changed takes a lot of time. When we tried to get in to the google listing, it would show us our correct number, so we could not change on our end the incorrect listing. They allegedly did change it but we won't know until we get the new pin code, which also gets sent to our business address to which we are now moving again, and do not receive mail. We have our mail sent to our home address. The location has been a challenge, and working w/ Adzzup has practically sunk us. I DO NOT recommend anyone using this service w/o doing their research. It is costly, and if you ultimately end your contract, you are left w/ a potential mess trying to regroup your own listings. read more

Even though I called their 800 number and asked them to stop calling, they still call me at least once a week, sometimes more. I always tell them that I'm lost and need a map to get to "Google" and their last sales rep told me that I would soon get a phone call from someone who could provide the map, and whoever is calling me the person with the map I need. When they explain what it is they do, I tell them I just want to print flyers and pass them out door to door in Google so I need directions to get to Google. If they tell me I need the internet to get there I'll ask them where I can buy "an internet." They usually get confused. One guy was dumb enough to stay on the phone with me for 10 minutes. Maybe one day they'll get a clue that I'm either not interested or too dumb to know how to use the internet. read more

Hello there, Not an angry customer here but I will report my experience. This company does social and search engine marketing, they make you a website and a mobile site, and they post for you on your facebook and other things (although I haven't seen this myself). My deal was $200 down, $200 a month which they provided me a website. The website is cheap looking but you get what you pay for. They also have other SEO like sales people that call their customers through the website that they made for you. Anyway for $200, sounds fair, but they wont post anything unless you give them content like photos or some updates. Also fair but I don't have enough content with the business I'm doing to be paying for a service like that. So naturally I canceled since I wont need their monthly. I can see some people needing to use this service though. Now the bad experience I had with them is that as soon as I canceled they took down my website. Also fair, I understand that I'm not paying their hosting anymore but I have a webserver of my own with my original site on it which I hoped to switch the site I paid for over to that hoster. I called them about that, but they will not release the assets over to me saying that I need to pay the monthly service for it. The sales man I talked to, as most salesmen, probably just told me whatever I wanted to hear to get the sale as I was promised this website. Along with that, they tried deleting my original facebook page that I had made myself 5 years ago, although probably an honest mistake, they had nothing to do with the content on that page except that I had given them permissions to it so they can post things. Good thing facebook notified me about a deletion scheduled by them was set into place so I was able to save that and remove them from the admin list. Anyway after all that money paying them for something I knew how to do myself, I got nothing out of it. I only tried their service because I wanted to see what they could do and I have a hard time telling people "no". I admittedly get taken advantage of by salesmen or scams every few years, something I need to learn. I have learned something from them though. I learned that they delete their bad reviews off their website (I never made one, they told this to me and suggested I do so on my site). Also that they can't delete reviews on yelp, so in response to bad reviews they "stack" a good review on top to push down the bad ones. Only choose this service if you really need someone to take care of this side of things but keep an eye on them as they don't really do anything at all for the first month. They pretend to add you to search engines like bing and google but the post cards from those companies don't come in. EDIT: Mr. Jeff H. owner of adzzup responds to my review below, and claims things that I never mentioned such as not finding the design appealing. This was never the issue. The issue is that, although they do use cookie cutter web designs to cut down on actual work, they did not deliver the website I thought that I was buying and more importantly to me the mobile website. I'm sure Jeff can listen to the phone recordings and find that the mobile website is the only service I was actually interested in. The more I deal with this company over the months the more I realize how evil they are and how too nice my above review was to them. This is the kind of company that will try to tear your business down just because you aren't handing them cash. It seems that there are enough reviews on here to tell you to run from these guys if they contact you, I just hope you read this before making a decision with them. read more

I had been with adzzup for about 5 years. They said they were changing to a new platform and my website would have to be rebuilt to operate on the new platform. It was bullshit. They said 700 bucks they would need. I ok'd 350 that day and another 350 2 weeks later. they took 350 right then within 1 hour more they took the other 350. that was September. I do heating and air conditioning in the desert of Arizona.80% is cooling , heat calls are very few. My slow time of year is oct-feb. I started to notice business was getting unusually slow in December. Started looking for website? could not find? My business was listed on the front page, but if clicked on would not go anywhere. If you called the ph number (their number forwarded to mine) it would ring at my office then disconnect. I called them they said they would fix this right away. The next day the ph number worked . Great!! If click to website still went nowhere. They said they would get their IT guys on it right away. It took about a week before it worked. It was the first time I had even seen it. It was very very basic. just some boxes with some pretty bland colors. The most basic website I knew of. I've made websites before that were just as good. The layout I wasn't complaining about even though not very professional. The wording was a complete disaster. Whoever did the text had no idea What they were talking about. They did/do not Know the definition of a Contractor!! most certainly could not use in a sentence , which they repeatedly misused, misinterpreted, abused, ?*&#? on every page in every paragraph. I told them I would make changes just need instructions to get in. They said they would make all changes and let me proofread it before it goes up. I agreed. another 2 weeks go by It was already up on the internet!!! They made changes but still says the same thing just different words. I called the dept mgr. he said he would do it himself. Again I offered to put the text in myself being that it was my website. He said he's sure he can do a good job for me. Another week goes by there it is up on the internet again without my approval. It's still way wrong!!! After all my attempts to tell them that I am the contractor, not anyone else!! I don't send other contractors to customers homes! It fell on deaf ears of some jerks that think they know and I don't. To be marketing a company and make statements for that company that are just plain stupid. Makes my company look like we're doing something we can't explain. Whether anybody reads these things I don't know. But if they did and knew just a little bit about contracting. They would shy away from this website. It sounds like this company needs to go back to school or somewhere to learn more about the contracting trade. I got a call from "John", a "Google Analyst" with this company this morning. He asked if I was the business owner and if I had a website. "Yes I am the owner. You are calling me and don't know if I have a website? I would think that a Google analyst would want to know that before calling" I responded. He laughed and said I would, that's why I'm asking. I told him that I do have a website and asked if his company had a website. He said yes and gave me the name of the company, Adzzup. I did a quick search and found these Yelp reviews. I told him that I was looking at several negative reviews about his company. "Those mean nothing, pay no attention to them" he said. "Really?" I asked. "They mean nothing?" as I thought about the line in the Wizzard of OZ - "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain". "Everyone has negative reviews. I'm not one to write a lot of reviews, but as a small business owner, I'm hoping that I save a few people from a big headache and wasting their hard earned money. Got cold called by Adzzup. Talked to someone briefly who said things that made me think the company name was "Google My Business". I asked if they were actually a Google company and they said yes. They asked about my business and quickly transferred me to Jonathon. He was a fast talker and the things that were repeated over and over was "you did the hard stuff, let us do the rest" "It's not about the money for us" "If you hate us, then fire us, our clients stick with us..." It was very scripted and I mentioned that he sounded like he was reading from a piece of paper. He kept saying the same things over and over again, but it was all very vague. I tried asking more about the company and found out that it was actually called Adzzup. I don't think he would have told me this if I hadn't have pushed to get more information. He was really pushing to get my credit card information to start the one month trial. He said there's never a contract. The first month is $249 which includes $1800 in web design and upkeep. ($1800 worth, that better be one amazing website! But I digress) Then it's only $199 a month. He rattled off a lot of statistics of how many people are searching for people like me in my area and so forth, but for someone who really wanted to help me grow my business, he asked a lot of questions that made me think he knew nothing about me. If he would have done a quick search, he would have known what I did, but he had to ask what type of work I did. He had to ask if I had a website. He looked me up during our phone conversation to find out how much of a web presence I had...things that someone who really valued my work and wanted to help me would have known going in. I buckle a lot under pressure and Adzzup was really laying it on thick. At one point he was telling me that I did a lot of the hard work, getting the reviews and social media presence that I needed. I told him YES, I DID do the hard work. It WAS hard and that's why I don't like rushing into things. I want to make sure that I'm making the right decision. I know I need some help with marketing and I've been pushing it off but I want to make the right decision so I want to sleep on it and have him send me information (he said no, he can only e-mail me information if I signed with him). He said he could only point me to his website (this is when I learned what the company really was). He told me basically that I will be making the right decision by hiring them and "sleeping on it" is probably just my way of pushing it off some more. I quickly looked up reviews of Adzzup and every single one one here was a 1-star. I said I'll do a thorough research of the website he provided and call him back. He then lowered his price to $150 a month if I sign up right now. I thanked him and declined. The "now or never" tactic is a terrible one...if someone doesn't give you a chance think it over, it's probably best to say no. Absolute scam. They wanted some ridiculous amount to set up etc. I said no thanks, he then said they'd wave the set up and do the SEO for $299.00 a month. After they charged my card they said they cannot do SEO on my current site they'd build a professional one. So I bought another domain and I supplied all wording, keywords and photos. I even asked them while on the phone to look at my current site and asked if they can duplicate the reservations form etc.. they said yes. Well 10 days later they say the site is ready and low and behold it looks like a 12 year old did it in a hour. The zip code was incorrect, its 1 long paragraph and absurd. They then put another lady on saying she was my new rep and wanting me to again waste my time and breath explaining what I wanted. I supplied all info and pics so am I getting a paycheck I am unaware of? I called my Credit Union and they said no problem and refunded my money right away. Very friendly customer service marketing company. I am currently testing out Adzzup and two other SEO / SEM companies to see which one can help drive more Internet traffic and customers to my small business. I am using a different call tracking number with each of the services so we will have a reliable tracking method to see which company actually provides more calls. So far, sign up with Adzzup was easy and customer service has been great in answering questions and helping set up my campaign. I will do Yelp reviews on the other two companies as well giving my opinion on them for setup and support.
