Art is the epitome of how customer service should be. We recently moved to Elk Grove and bought a house with a bathroom that clearly needed updating. He was able to thoroughly explain the process to us and not only be responsive but remember minor details. I was very pregnant when we moved and he reassured me on the chemical levels he used. He gave clear instructions on how to avoid the smells and how long we should not utilize areas that were refinished. We also received clear after instructions. Our bathrooms looked brand new! He also has warranty on his work, which is something unexpected but reassuring. When we had plumbers come by, even they complimented on the work because they saw the before and afters. Art, we cannot thank you enough for all the hard work you put in for us. Not just that, but the amazing customer before and throughout your time with us! read more

Our house had a jetted tub in the guest bath when we bought it 25 years ago. I used it a couple times, but didn't really care for it; too loud to be relaxing! Then when I cleaned the jets, I was so grossed out that I never used the tub again. Beyond that, the surface was really unsightly, worn, and had little cracks all around the drain area. I had looked into replacing it with a new tub, but the way the tub was built in with a cultured marble surround it would have cost thousands, and I couldn't find anything to replace the surround that would match or coordinate with my shower. Based on reviews here, I called Art. What a great move! He gave me an estimate, scheduled the work, protected my bathroom with care, and did a wonderful job. He plugged the nasty jets and made them disappear! He took extreme care to get the new finish to blend with the other surfaces in the room to my satisfaction. He was careful to vent any fumes out of the house, which was important to us because my husband has respiratory issues. He kept me informed about what he was doing. Now my tub looks great and my guest bath is well on the way to becoming my personal spa retreat! Beyond his talent and professionalism, Art is just a really nice guy, very respectful, and pleasant. It's clear that he really cares about doing the best job. read more

Art is hands down the best guy to work with! He was extremely communicative, respectful, responsive, professional and informative. Can't say enough good things about him! We had just moved into an older home that had a rusty, peeling tub. Just based off of a photo, Art gave me his best professional guess on what the issue was, why it happens, and how it can be fixed. Even though he had a very full schedule, he made time to properly diagnose the problem and squeezed us in much earlier than expected. He came on time, texted me photo updates as he worked in the bathroom upstairs, and made our tub look BRAND SPANKIN' NEW! Art went above and beyond what we expected and is so amazing at what he does. If you need a tub refinished - don't look anywhere else. You will not regret trusting Art with your business! read more

I had done some home renovation and I was almost to the finish line with the first part of the project then STUFF HIT THE FAN. I had a friend install a tub for me and II thought it was done right long story short it wasn't. The guy installing the tile pointed it out to me and said that the tub was not in right. I have no clue bout any of this stuff so i wasnt able to spot this my self. When the work was done I noticed a hole in the tub It pretty much goes back to the person who installed the tub smh. I got on Yelp looking for a solution to fix and try to salvage this renovation, I found ADX emailed them and today Monday February 10th I called them to see if they can help me out on my stressed out situation. I spoke with Art explained to him what happened and just from a conversation he put my mind at ease and guided me the right way instead of taking advantage, lying and getting money from me in this stressful situation that I'm in. When I thought I had a plan worked out I called Art back to ask if he thinks it would be better for me to buy a new tub or have him fix this one. I was shocked with what he said, he explained to me, yes I said EXPLAINED to me why it would be better if I just bought a new tub instead of him fixing this one. So now plan C is to just build a new walk in shower in the guest bathroom. Arts honesty left me speechless and thinking that there is still honest worthy people out there. If you are renovating or need a repair for ur shower, sink, tile, caulking, grout etc I suggest u call ADX and speak to Art first to get an honest opinion before you get robbed by any other contractor. Even tho I did not have Art do any work he did guide me towards the right direction and told me to give him a call if I had any other questions or if I needed any work. I guess i'll be looking for a new plumber to do the pipes for the walk in shower. If you reading this THANKS Art I highly appreciate your honestly and your time. read more

After discovering just how ridiculously expensive it was to remodel my bathroom, I decided to give it a face lift instead of a complete remodel. As part of this venture, i decided to refinish my existing tub. I got some estimates, and I decided to go with Art at ADX refinishing. Why? Because Art was a fantastic communicator, and his price was very reasonable. He also had tons of excellent reviews. He was very thorough in explaining the process and what to expect. He is super friendly and a very genuine person. It was always on time and did a great job on the tub. I was super impressed. You can tell he takes extreme pride in his work, and he has years of experience. He is someone you can trust. If you are looking for someone to refinish your tub, I highly recommend Art. You will be happy with your choice. read more

Art came out back in the summer to look at our project and give an estimate. Another company I called for an estimate wouldn't even come out. We hired Art in October for a tub and kitchen sink refinishing job. He was able to get us in within 2 weeks. He cleaned the sink but wasn't able to refinish due to the discover of a large crack. The tub turned out gorgeous and looking brand new! We're super thrilled with it. I recommend this business. read more

Our shower was in serious need of an update. The grout was starting to breakdown and the tiles were dated. To replace the shower was well over 3,000 so I looked into refinishing and found ADX Refinishing. The owner, Art, was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job. His goal was to exceed expectations and he delivered! The cost for the shower pan and surrounding tile was 1,375 which was a fair price. It was money well spent. read more

I am really blown away with how great our tub looks now after Art refinished it today! I wish I had a before picture to show. Our tub had multiple damaged spots where it appeared someone had dropped something heavy (welcome to fixer uppers). Around four good sized areas in the base of the tub and several around the rim. It looks fantastic now--smooth, sparkling and clean. Art showed me two tiny spots that he said he needed to go back and fix tomorrow morning. I really wouldn't have noticed them, but he is a perfectionist. He even refused to take his payment until he fixes those spots tomorrow. He also showed me how the drain stopper wasn't even connected properly and he solved that. From start to finish the owner, Art, has been courteous, professional, trustworthy and extremely competent. I highly recommend ADX Refinishing. read more

I heard quickly from ADX Refinishing (Art) and he was so helpful! I sent him pics from my phone, strange stains in my fiberglass bathtub. He gave me estimates on the phone, the lowest and highest, but needed to see it to be sure. My home is for sale with an open house tomorrow, I had an ugly stained bathtub that I had lived with for 10 years. I am desperate, because buyers would never go for that! I never expected a service person to arrive to do the estimate...and then do the amazing finish job within 45 minutes!! And it was less expensive than his lowest estimate!! My open house is tomorrow! Thanks, Art, I'll be calling you again soon and recommending you to all my friends! Before & after photos! read more

Art did a fabulous job repairing and restoring the shower wall in our master bathroom after our autistic son mhad a meltdown and cracked the synthetic marble wall with his violet head banging, leaving huge cracks everywhere. Thanks to Art we finally got our plumbing issues fixed! The consulting fee was well worth it. I had to put some time in writing this review. Yes it will be a five star review yet there's more to this particular review than 5 stars. First, let me say that Art is seriously one of the best humans I've worked with on a project. I believe he understands true customer service and excellence on a very high level. There are several examples I can provide which demonstrates this. If I had to compare my experience with ADX with something we can understand...I'd venture to say, he's like a "samurai" in how he conducts his business, performs his work, communicates with his customers, etc. Bushido! From my discussions with Art it's obvious he understands people...human behavior...well. And as we all know, some customers are just sucky before, during and after you do business with them. The same goes for companies. I selected ADX based on the individual I'm doing business with, not price or anything else because hopefully we all know you get what you pay for. Thanks for an excellent job Art! I highly recomend if you get your bathroom showers/tubs refinished, you hire ADX Refinishing. I haven't stated this in any other review but I guarantee you won't be disappointed. 100% solid and solution-oriented. read more

I was very impressed by the work and professionalism of Art. He came to refinish my kitchen sink yesterday and I am beyond happy with the results. He is a straight shooter and was honest with me about everything. I wanted my bathroom sinks done as well but he was not able to and explained why and gave me some recommendations on how to proceed (he couldn't do them due to something of the material, not that he was unprepared). He talked me through each step of the process so I understood what was happening and cleaned and prepped everything. I highly recommend him for any refinishing work! Art did 2 jobs for me: a shower and a tub. Each job turned out great! Art is professional, communicative and timely. I highly recommend him.

Art is amazing. He does great work and treated us and our home with the utmost respect. The project was supposed to take 3-4 days; however, I went into labor after the first day and we had to stop work for a couple of weeks. Art was amazingly kind and understanding and worked with us on finding a new date to finish the work. He takes great pride in his work and that's reflected in the quality of his workmanship. Art provided exceptional service from start to finish. I requested a quote and within the next day Art came by to provide an estimate. Art is a great and honest guy. We never felt like he tried to upsell or recommend unnecessary procedures. He clearly communicated and outlined the work to be completed so that everyone was on the same page. We had our soaking tub and shower refinished and Art was meticulous and highly considerate. Both my wife and I work from home so he made sure to keep noise to a minimum when possible. The job was completed within a day and we were extremely pleased with the results. After everything had cured and we were able to use the shower and tub, we noticed a few imperfections and reached back out to Art. Art was quick to reply and came back to complete the minor touch ups until everything was perfect and to our liking. Art makes customer satisfaction a top priority and you can clearly tell he takes great pride in his work. Art maintained professionalism at all times and we would definitely use ADX Refinishing again for any future refinishing needs. read more

ADX Refinishing did work for us in May 2013. Wanted to take some time to leave them a GREAT review! Our home was extremely dated with some "over the top" decor by the original owners. While materials were solid, we chose the refinishing route versus replacement. Art and ADX were extremely professional, provided quality workmanship, and delivered exactly what was discussed and promised. The whole process was 2-3 days, and we were VERY PLEASED with the end results. We sold that home in July 2014, and have since purchased and begun renovation on an even older house. I would not hesitate to hire ADX for future jobs. read more
