Our house had a jetted tub in the guest bath when we bought it 25 years ago. I used it a couple times, but didn't really care for it; too loud to be relaxing! Then when I cleaned the jets, I was so grossed out that I never used the tub again. Beyond that, the surface was really unsightly, worn, and had little cracks all around the drain area. I had looked into replacing it with a new tub, but the way the tub was built in with a cultured marble surround it would have cost thousands, and I couldn't find anything to replace the surround that would match or coordinate with my shower. Based on reviews here, I called Art. What a great move! He gave me an estimate, scheduled the work, protected my bathroom with care, and did a wonderful job. He plugged the nasty jets and made them disappear! He took extreme care to get the new finish to blend with the other surfaces in the room to my satisfaction. I had done some home renovation and I was almost to the finish line with the first part of the project then STUFF HIT THE FAN. I had a friend install a tub for me and II thought it was done right long story short it wasn't. The guy installing the tile pointed it out to me and said that the tub was not in right. I am really blown away with how great our tub looks now after Art refinished it today! I wish I had a before picture to show. Our tub had multiple damaged spots where it appeared someone had dropped something heavy (welcome to fixer uppers). Around four good sized areas in the base of the tub and several around the rim. It looks fantastic now--smooth, sparkling and clean. Art showed me two tiny spots that he said he needed to go back and fix tomorrow morning. I really wouldn't have noticed them, but he is a perfectionist. He even refused to take his payment until he fixes those spots tomorrow. First, let me say that Art is seriously one of the best humans I've worked with on a project. I believe he understands true customer service and excellence on a very high level. While materials were solid, we chose the refinishing route versus replacement.
