Edit: A couple of weeks ago, we noticed a small bubble had appeared, cracked, and a chip came out from the sink we had repaired by ReNew Refinishing. I contacted Alex on Friday 3/27 and he stated there was no warranty in effect, which I knew was likely. However, he said he would take care of us. He came out this morning, Monday 3/30, and repaired the bubble area, and even a blemish we caused. He did not charge us anything for the repair, even though he spent quite a bit of time on it. It is a rarity in this day and age when a service provider far exceeds your expectations. Most companies are looking for any reason to tell you it is not their problem. Not ReNew Refinishing. They take care of their customers even when it is not their responsibility. An amazing company!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had a 40 year old sink, very deep sink, in a laundry room that was in need of refinishing, not to mention a new faucet. The sink was a drop in sink in a tiled countertop. Serge arrived this morning, on time, and was very friendly and professional. I had attempted to turn off the angle stops, but the hot water valve seemed frozen. The handle wouldn't easily turn and I was afraid to put too much pressure on it for fear of creating and even bigger problem. So, I turned the water off, in order to remove the supply hoses to the faucet and remove the faucet. In discussing this with Serge, he stated that sometimes applying a little force will break the 'seal' and allow the valve to be closed. At that point, I felt I was probably going to have to call a plumber to replace the valve, so I had nothing to lose. He broke it free and the valve seated properly with no leaking. In my view, Serge saved me a tremendous amount of hassle, not to mention a lot of money. Now, as to the refinishing job done on our sink this picture says it all! The variations of 'color' in the picture are due to lighting and shadows resulting from the lighting. The sink is totally bright white! He did a fabulous job and we are extremely pleased with the result! ReNew's price was quite a bit lower than the other quote I received. Horrible to work with. Uses low quality paint and dosent quareente his work . All the other refinishing companies quareente it for 5 years. His work peeled off with frog tape then when I asked him to fix it he tried to charge me 150.00 to do so. That's laughable... that paint wast 3 weeks old and it clearly came off due to inadequate preparation of the tile prior to him spraying the product. What a horrible experience to try to work around his shotty work and endless mood swings .. So happy its over. I hired another company to repaint where he didn't mask out glass tile and painted it white as well . Even though I had to pay again it was a much less painful experience. Beware he calls his company renew however there's a second company with same name spelled (re nu ) and thats the company to go with he was fabulous and super professional however Surg at renew is not! Don't confuse the 2 companies there's a big difference in quality - warrenty ( 5 ) years with Re Nu . Not with this company (renew) . Do your home work and go with someone licensed.. Renew is not licensed charges the same if not more than the companies that are like Re Nu and miracle method and both guarantee thier work for 5 years. He then blew me off repeatedly when I asked him to come back to fix it, and then accused me of having done something to ruin it. In four hours, the shower looks better than new. I can highly recommend Serge. He went above and beyond by taking off the shower doors, and then replacing them afterwards. He caulked them afterwards. I had a rental home with a short turnaround time and called ReNew as my normal guy let me down for a tub that needed some TLC. I am so glad I did as Serge answered the phone at approx 2pm and was working on my tub by 5:30pm that same day! He was incredibly professional spending extra time to prep the tub, seal off the surrounding area, setup his extractor fan then work diligently on the tub until almost 9pm taking no shortcuts as I observed him sanding then using primer which is key before multiple finish coats. We can't imagine better results than the beautiful finish on three tubs and three bahroom sinks that Serge did for us. They all look NEW -- and a couple were looking pretty shabby when he started. And it was a fraction of the cost of replacing them.
