I'd say the taste overall skewed a little more cutesy than my own personal taste but I still found things I liked and would buy. And if I needed to buy someone a small gift for some reason, I'd definitely have this place on my list as places to look for that. Definitely worth your time to stop in and have a look around here.

He was really great to talk to. I so appreciate that he was willing to talk to me about finding my own rocks. I did want to hunt Yooperlites, but also for any other beach rocks that struck my fancy. Fun, interactive exhibits and activities and a little gift shop can be found here as well as a few walking trails in the surrounding wetlands and woods. Not only is the view from the observation deck/tower excellent so are all of the well done displays on all sorts of topics relevant to the area. From lumbering to mining, to the flora and fauna to the native Americans, etc, etc. A really cool place where you can easily spent an hour or two (they even have some walking trails on the property). Also if you are into getting National Park passport stamps this is one place to get them for the Apostle Island National Lakeshore. A must stop!

Mr. Craig Johnson, Orchardist of SVO, helped us buy their home orchard Apple Syrup in the store. Then he took us on a walk through the orchard, talking about it and taking us to the barn.
