I live across the street. It's dangerous. I visit often. Vinyl, comics, and books!!! There are heaps of wonderful new and used books. The extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff have excellent taste. There's a game room in the back full of tables. This spot is a great haven in the otherwise indie-free Tri Cities. Any shop that has a big, shaggy, friendly dog is super cool in my book. We were directed here when looking for a Ouija Board for a birthday gift. Of course they had one. I think they have every board game ever made. They have a huge selection of really neat action figures from shows I've never heard of. This is the only place in the Tri-Cities to carry anything Tokidoki. They have tons of books, but not your mainstream variety. This is the kind of place the guys from The Big Bang Theory would hang, pretty neat! read more

On record store day they let people clear out their stock. For example, they let one guy buy all three copies of a limited edition Weezer album. Super inconsiderate of everyone else waiting in line. I understand first come first serve, but it should be limited to one copy. It ruins the whole point of record store day. Super disappointing. read more

I go to Adventure Underground for the books and music. Great selection of used and new, vintage books, children's books, rare, and bonkers. :) They also have a vinyl selection that is nothing to scoff at. It's hard for me to stay away for more than a week. The staff is STELLAR. read more

I love everything about this place, from the vast array of books, music, comic books, gaming equipment, the children's section.....the owners are super likeable, their dog is always chilling somewhere in the store and is totally docile, and it's just a comforting place to browse and wander. I both cheered on the inside, and worried for them when they first opened, since there is a Hastings right down the street, but they have fantastic business sense-they knew their niche from the beginning, stuck with it, and they've become a local fixture. To put it simply: I freaking love this place. It doesn't matter if I stop in to look for records, unusual vintage books, board games, or TCGs, there's always an employee who knows what I'm talking about and is willing to go the extra mile to help me find exactly what I need. I'd honestly say that it'd be next to impossible to find better customer service in all of Eastern Washington. (Also, as a bonus, they have a resident dog, Charlie, who is sweet, very laid-back, and doesn't mind a pat on the head. How awesome is that?!) read more

I don't know how anyone could ever give this place less than 5 stars. I would give it 6 if I could. It is simply amazing. When this store first started it was kind of a diamond in the rough. There wasn't many shelves, and the stock was fairly limited, but there was a ton of room for growth, but the owners were very kind, helpful, and knowledgable. Simply put, this place had something special about it from its very beginning. Within the last 5-6 years this place has grown into its brilliant potential. Every time I go in this store I see new additions, hear rumors of even more shelves and I get so excited to see the changes. Sometimes I stop in this store just because I am driving down George Washington Way, I see it and feel compelled to enter!! I have never had a bad experience in this store, and I always leave happy and with at least a comic or two in hand. This is my favorite store, period! If you are a geek at heart now or ever, even if you are "an adult" like me, this store will make you feel like a kid all over again. This is also a perfect store for anyone looking for that special gift for a significant other who is into anything "geek friendly." My wife shops here for most of my gifts! What a fun place to hang out at. You can get lost in here for hours looking through the big selection of new, like new, and used books. Huge selection of all kinds of card and board games. Oh yeah, and for audiophiles they have a great vinyl section as well offering not only the classics but also limited edition new releases! You introduced me to comics and taught me everything I know. ( Queue The song A Whole New World) Shout out to George, the staff here is always knowledgeable and helpful. They will set aside items for regulars and are happy to make a reminder call. They go out of their way to make it a personalized experience. I could spend hours here exploring the countless curiosities. Comics, vinyl, and board games oh my. There is a great space for activities in the back and they just added a cafe. This store has an excellent selection of games, books, graphic novels, comics, and cards. If you're looking for an obscure board game or novel, this is the place to go! The staff is always helpful, and they sometimes have a trade-in system for grab box figurines in order to help people collect full sets. Always seems to be busy but never busy enough you can't walk around. This store is a bit pricey but all collectibles are so...They have a huge selection of board games and related stuff like d&d make your own (paints, fake bushes, non painted figures, etc) they also they have a pretty big choice of figures ( from funko pops, nendroids, plushies, and even futurama hypo frog piggy banks and everything in between) they do have a lot of books most of the back end of the store is all books, but they also have a lot of graphic novels, comics and manga and newer and some older. Back at the front of the store they have cards, there card sleeves are pretty basic, and the only cards they sell are mainly Pokémon, some yugioh, and other than just random (my little pony, mars attack, and other random cards) read more

Adventures Underground caters to pretty much every need I ever could have imagined when it comes to entertainment. I love buying records there, and they seem to have pretty much everything I ever imagine wanting. The kid's area is great, they stock good children's books that I am actually excited to buy. They also have a train-table-set-up for kids to play with while we're there, and have a pretty good stock of toys to buy. Also, there are a million games. Possibly more. Every Holiday season I pick up a few more new ones, and when I'm not sure what I want, the staff has been great about helping me find new games to try. And, the most important part. The books! The books! There are so many! The shelves are well organized, and the books are in good condition. I recently found TWO first editions there and they were way cheaper than they would have been online. And thankfully AU doesn't stamp the prices on the cover page, and takes good care of their stock so the books were still in fantastic condition. I love Adventures Underground, and highly recommend everybody go there! read more

My husband loves going to comic book shops and we have been to many across the state (and in other states). This is by far the best we have visited! There is a great selection of comics, action figures and collectibles to keep my husband's attention, but there is also a great selection to keep mine. :) They have a great selection of toys for the kids, and, my daughter's favorite section, used books. My daughter can always find some used book she hasn't read to bring home. They have gaming stuff (not our thing, but others like it), vinyl and so much more. Spacious building, not too cramped, lots of selection and the staff is always so friendly. My youngest loves the dog! If you haven't been, go! LOVE,LOVE, LOVE! read more

Always good experience, always helpful staff. Great with my kids, looking once for a card game for my oldest they spent a good 30 minutes walking him through the pros and cons for each game. One time with my little one (bit of a talker) had questions about the cool things that they had in the cases. The person there took time to answer his questions genuinely and respectively even though it had nothing to do with what was for sale. We mainly go there for the comics. But it is always a fun experience to see something cool and new. read more

A ton of geeky stuff (comics, figurines), music, and a lot of books which is the main reason I visit. They even have a selection of collectible and rare books. Plus they'll order stuff for you too.
