We got a good discount for the train ride on Groupon and I would recommend checking it out before arriving. We paid to feed the bison, not realizing they would give you food for free on the train ride. That was a bit frustrating, but you can add the food they pass around to your bag so you have plenty to give to the bison. Our kids had a fantastic time and it was a lot of fun feeding the bison on the train. I think this is a great activity to do in the area with kids and it was definitely a highlight in our trip. The gift shop was fun to visit on our way out. Highly recommend!

The Terry Bison Ranch is the only place I have ever heard about where you can hand feed Bison. They also have other things to do here. We got here an hour and a half before our train departed and we have plenty to do. They have lots of animals on this ranch from full grown ostriches and baby ones, a long horn cow, plenty of chickens, baby bison that you can pet, lots of horses, goats, and much more. On the ride over to feed the bison, they had a train robbery reenactment which was fun. The whole train ride takes about an hour to make sure to use the restrooms before getting on. It's a great place to bring kids. Prices were reasonable. $20 per adult $10 for kids to ride the train and $10 for bison feed which is a must. They give you a decent amount of food in the bag. No reservations needed you can buy tickets at the general store. There they have plenty of souvenirs to buy and can answer any questions you may have. An easy day trip from Denver. If you are on a roadtrip I'd recommend stopping here if you are heading to Wyoming from Colorado or vice versa.

The manager couldn't care less about anything. The sites are not maintained. He couldn't tell us where the hook ups were. There are free running dogs and dog poop everywhere. Pot holes that will destroy your vehicles. The worst of the worst.

We were fortunate to be able to explore Cheyenne for more than a day, but clearly only scratched…read morethe tiniest of places to visit on our very long list. We enjoyed the Wyoming Museum, the Depot Plaza area and Depot Museum, multiple restaurants, and the Capitol building, as well as longstanding businesses and buildings (have posted many other reviews and photos). We were awestruck at the number of public art installations, including murals and statues. There were oftentimes statues on each of the four corners of a street intersection and just too much to see in a day. I look forward to returning here and walking through the downtown area to see much, much more. The parts of the city that we encountered appeared to be clean and well maintained and very walkable. Highly recommended to visit.

Essentially there's eighteen boots, all decorated by different artists, scattered throughout Cheyenne. The idea is to visit them all and see the surrounding places--sort of a public art scavenger hunt, if you will. An awesome welcome center!…read more I am a pamphet collector and love to read through all the activities and things to do in whichever state I am visiting. This place is like a mini free musuem. They even have a mammoth skeleton and a little prop archelogist dig site. So cool! They've got videos you can select and watch about the history of Wyoming. My kids loved the little jail that had a slide to get out of. Bathrooms were very clean. They have shaded picnic tables outside too. A great spot to come to stretch your legs and start your visit in Wyoming. I would even say just visit even if you are not needed to take the rest stop.

Little America has long been a staple of the Cheyenne community, and I've stayed here several times…read morethroughout my life. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me a bit disappointed. While the property still has its classic charm, it feels like it hasn't kept up with the times. Many areas are beginning to show their age, and the overall experience felt a little worn. The restaurant was decent but didn't stand out. With some thoughtful renovations and updates, this hotel could truly shine again. I can't help but wonder if a larger hotel brand might one day invest in the property and restore it to its full potential. Little America is a unique gem with so much history and character--it deserves a fresh chapter.
