I do not own a motor cycle and probably never want to buy one either. But if I did I would buy one from Brent. I walked in yesterday afternoon needing a cotter pin for a doggy buggy. I bought the buggy on line for a young lady whose only friend in the world besides me is her little chiwawa (not sure how to spell that). I did not know Brent but we are friends now. Not only did he come up with the cotter pins he assembled the buggy and showed us how to fold it up. His payment was a big hug. Yup, I would buy a dozen motor cycles from Brent. I've been coming to adventure center for a while now and they always treat me right. They've done everything from new clutch basket to new starter to entire S&S motor swap. I also like to get my tires here they're have reasonable prices. I ride a 2000 Harley Dyna but they do everything. When I find a place that take care of the business I like to stick with them. The staff is awesome and the owner is great. I usually refer everyone I know to Adventure Center Motorsports and I haven't ever had anyone complain. Try them out and you won't be disappointed read more

I'm at the owner today and he was a really nice guy. Very genuine very direct and honest with his pricing. I will do business with the shop again. read more

Absolutely stoked on the job done. Told me it'd be a week before they looked at my quad, called back 2 days later. Gave me an incredibly fare estimate compared to other shops. Got my quad back in 5 days! They even went above and beyond and changed out my reservoir at no charge. Highly, highly recommend to all! read more

These guys worked on a few if my bikes. When I had a small issue they stood behind there work, very polite, professional, these guys are top notch and I won't use anyone but them going forward! Thanks again! read more

I've had tires replaced and repaired a problem I had with my clutch and both times Brent and his mechanics took care of my bike. Nothing but good news from Adventure Center and I strongly recommend them to others. read more

Big thanks to Brent and his team for taking care of my BMW GS 1200! They are fantastic and did another fantastic job on another one of my bikes!! Fair, attentive, and professional!! Thanks again Brent and you're entire team!! Oh and what an amazing deal on my new Arai Adventure helmet!! I love it!! read more

Great place! The service is great and I really had a good time buying a LED headlamp for my cruiser. Also, Bikersfield clothing is at this same location, so I picked up some cool things there too. Lastly, I brought my bike there to possibly have them adjust the clutch, but they were so honest and cool that the mechanic just did the quickest hand adjustment of the clutch cable and didn't charge me a dime! This place is family for me now and I'll always go back for anything I need. read more

I'm hispanic and the First thing I noticed when I walked in to this place was people there, starting from the owner being racist, Putting that to the side, I needed my Harley to be repaired from the front forks, they took it in and from there very little professionalism, never returning calls, and I never was given an exact estimate on my parts and repairs (yes they had all the bike apart). After they were done and I went to pick up my motorcycle the first thing I noticed was my motorcycle all dirty (oil and grease stains all over, then my windshield was missing, they broke the brackets for it and they didn't even mention anything like if I was not gonna notice that wasn't there. I asked them and there is when they started to get aggressive and told me to take my motorcycle and get out of his business just because I told them I wanted my motorcycle the way It was, also the front desk lady started to act very rude. Really BAD EXPERIENCE with this people, better pay a little more but take it with professionals at a Harley Davidson dealership. read more

Brent fixed me up with a tire at great price in just a few days. Will definitely be back.

Needed tires for my Harley Davidson and the fine folks at Adventure Center Powersports walked me through what was available and discussed price vs performance. They recommended a few options and what I chose was not the cheapest, but was the best option for my bike. The mechanic spent extra time to check brakes, drive lines, axle torque and explained what and why for each item. In the end I received great service and am very pleased with the way my bike performs. Money well spent. Thank you!! read more

Called around town to have an atv cylinder bored and honed. Received some pretty high quotes. I called and got a much lower quote, so I took it in and these great guys immediately called their machinist to come pickup the cylinder while the paperwork was still getting drawn up!! Less than 24 hours later get the call to pick it up!! Their machinist Arty did a perfect and thorough job on the cylinder and got the piston kit set up for immediate installation. Looks like he even resurfaced the top surface for no extra charge!! It's very nice when you can finally go to a business that will treat you like they want your business!! I highly recommend Adventure Center Powersports!!! read more

Very shitty service guy was more interested in talking about other things then motorcycles and ATV like paying his bills will not go there again read more

I can't say enough good things about this place and everyone I've encountered here. I specially take my bike here for Kevin to work on and I have never been disappointed. His easy to get a hold of, work with and delivers quality work. He has been working on my bike since I purchased her last year and I will continue to come here when I need it!! :) read more

I am SO thankful to have a true dirtbike shop back in Bakersfield. Every other shop in town feels like a car dealership. The customer service at Adventure Center is second to none. After mounting a new tire for me, I woke up the next morning to go riding only to find that I had a flat. Obviously frustrated, I called Adventure Center and they told me to bring the bike down to the shop and they had a a new tube installed within 15 minutes. I didn't even have to unload my bike! Highly recommended to everyone. read more

Excellent customer service with a wide knowledge base of mortar cycles in general. I go here for my dirtbike parts and get advice

Best Harley Davidson mechanic in town! You can trust Kevin Thomas with your bike, and your safety ... and that says it all.

Brent and crew set me up and got me on my way. Very impressed with his knowledge and the fact they're the #1 Husky dealer in the country!

I am so glad someone at the Harley-Davidson dealer(a customer I was in line with)told me about this place. I took my 2003 Fatboy in for non-mechanical repair(rear taillight) and replace wide handlebars with stock. Rear taillight part was $6.00 but quoted a $90.00+ labor bill. Bullshit. Enough of HD being so expensive. No wonder they are losing customers. That and were dying off. Anyway, I found Kevin to be a professional and no-nonsense kind of guy. It still cost me $370.00 in total but I would be afraid to find out what the dealer would have charged and that was for the taillight which gave Kevin some trouble and the handlebars and a fuel assembly unit that had to be replaced. At least there is someone else to turn to now and I trust Kevin and Adventure Sports to take c/o my bike from now on.I do need to add that they have an incredible amount of gear for any rider in addition to HD riders. read more

Was referred here by a buddy some time ago, this shop is great; central location, reasonable prices and Kevin is an amazing and knowledgable Harley mechanic. He seems to build his clientale solely on word of mouth, friends dropped me off to pick up my bike have now been going to him. Glad to have a shop like this in Bakes- If you want more bang for your buck and your garage to be free of oil and your harley to run like the wind make this your shop read more

I would prefer to give zero stars if that was an option. Worst customer service. Brento was rude and very unprofessional. The quality of work was so bad that when I asked him about it he said, "if I wanted something done perfect, to do it myself?" I will never go back. read more

Brento is back! Glad I found out before I purchased a bike out of town. I just haven't been satisfied with other bike shops in town, this place is great. Also have Kevin in the shop servicing Harley Davidson. read more

Definitely the best bike shop in Bakersfield! Awesome customer service, great prices. The best part is the wealth of knowledge available and their willingness to take the time to share it. This is the only shop I will spend my money at for my motorcycle needs. read more

I have been here on a few occasions and have gotten excellent, knowledgeable service and good pricing. The key that has kept me coming is that they are local and I would rather spend in my community than out of it. Not only that, but the owner will price match Internet prices. Until today unfortunately. I spoke with someone else today who quoted me a price $20 over Internet with free shipping and a quicker delivery time and apparently they don't always price match because they refused. I will still call for pricing in the future but looks like have to find a new go to tire spot. In my opinion if you say you are going to price match internet, you price match internet. If not, don't say it and try to do your best and it will make your customers happy to find out you are working with them. Bad business to promise something and then not deliver on it. Update: I like these guys too much...aside from one minor issue above, I can't get service like this anywhere else in Bakersfield. 10/10 would go to them again and again. read more

Kevin Thomas, is the only great Harley mechanic in town. If you want your bike fixed correctly the first time, Kevin is who you need to see at Advenure Center Powersports. read more

Back on October 5, 2017, I was leaving SF Bay Area on my BMW GS Adventure for a quick one-day ride to Phoenix. I was in need of a rear tire replacement. I phoned around the Bay Area, Phoenix and then Bakersfield trying to find a specific tire (finally found it 50 miles from home in the Bay Area, but too late to have the new tire installed). I had spoken with Brent at Adventure Center Powersports (ACP) in Bakersfield during my tire search and although he did not have my specific tire in stock, he had told me that if I could bring him the tire on my way to Phoenix, he'd have it installed. I arrived at ACP around 11AM and was back on the road by noon! The service was outstanding, and conversation with Brent was very enjoyable and informative during my hour at ACP. Thank you Brent (and your service tech) for outstanding service. I made Phoenix at a decent hour that same night with confidence that my rear tire was safe! read more

Great dealership. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyed shopping here - the owner is not pushy with his sales at all like some places.

We took our Honda Moped to Abdventure Center the first time around April 12th for a basic "check-up". I needed to have tires checked, brakes checked, and the liquids checked. It was confirmed that the tires needed to be replaced, but also that the bar that holds the back tire was bent and needed to be replaced, that it was unsafe to drive. We of course consented to the work, which costed $520+ to fix. After about 2 weeks, we got the moped back and we heard noises like marbles were rolling around in the back tire and it sounded like a bubble machine. We took the bike back to the shop and they eventually called us to go down to the shop so they could show us what was wrong. It turns out, all of the bolts that they had put on had ALL fallen off!!!!! The crazy part, is when we picked it up, he wouldn't give me a warranty because he didnt because his work is good enough and he knows he does excellent work. So no need to worry. So, ALL of the new bolts came off. The shop had the moped for another two weeks, we got it back right before mothers day and it is now back in the shop. The brand new Pirelli tire he put on the moped is flat. No nail, screw, or cuts. Just no air. We told him to fix the bike, or give us our money back. He said "You're not getting your @$!#&% money back. You shouldn't have that piece of sh!$ in the road anyways!" He used this type of language a few times in the conversation. Needless to say, we were LIVID!!! We are a mixed couple going to a motorcycle shop owned vy an old white man. We hope its not racial bias, but the way he spoke to paying customers, what else could it be??? He wasn't doing us a favor, we paid for a service that was not rendered by his company. The way he spoke to us was rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and down right disgusting!!!!! read more
