Since a teen I struggled with weight issues and even had weight loss surgery 2001, so when I had to move to a new doctor, all of the unpleasantness came into play. Unfortunately, my experience with the front office staff was very disappointing. I called to inquire about becoming a new patient, but I was immediately placed on hold, and my call was disconnected twice before I even had the opportunity to ask a question. When I finally spoke with someone and mentioned that my call had been disconnected twice, the woman responded in a very rude and snarky tone, stating that they were busy and that was why I had been placed on hold. I understand that medical offices get busy, but that is no excuse for poor customer service. I then explained that I was interested in scheduling an appointment with Dr. Del Toro Diaz, only to be told abruptly, "We aren't taking new patients." I responded, "Well, maybe that's a good thing for me," and ended the call. It's unfortunate because I was looking forward to possibly establishing care here.
