I tried supporting this local shop, but after what I saw, I won't be back. Watching a kid get…read morecharged $50 for a two-pack item with a $14.99 MSRP was enough for me. That's roughly $25 per modern pack--for cards that aren't vintage, scarce, or anything remotely special. There's a difference between running a business and shamelessly exploiting hype, and this shop clearly knows exactly what it's doing. That's not "market pricing," that's blatant price gouging aimed at the people least likely to know better. Card shops are supposed to build community and help grow the hobby, especially for kids. Instead, this place feels more interested in squeezing every possible dollar out of excited young collectors and their parents. It's hard to call yourself a community shop when you're pricing families out of the hobby. If your business model depends on overcharging kids and parents who don't know better, that says everything people need to know. Even their video games are priced way more than even EBay prices.

So today I had zero plans on going to SideQuest games. I follow them on instagram and they had…read moreposted Pokemon cards for sale. They had multiple cards I was interested in so I get ready for my 40 min trek, head over there, walk in and see the cards I wanted ON DISPLAY with price tags and everything. So I tell them I'm interested in a few cards and I'm told "oh I need to look at all these cards again."...so I wait around for 15 min just to essentially be told nothing they went out of their way to post on their instagram was for sale.... So I dragged my one year old son on a 2 hr trek for literally nothing. Will not be returning to this store ever

We've been buying most of our appliances from Hamilton's since the 80's. Our new name brand…read morerefrigerator went out on us after six months and it was still under the manufacturers one year warranty. However the manufacturers service repairman would be a week out on appointments. After I reported this delay back to Hamilton's they told me not to worry they'll have a loaner sent to me by the end of the day. Folks, you won't get this kind of care and compassion from the big box stores.

This post is warning people to NOT buy the extended warranty option. We have had great experiences…read morewith Hamilton's and its people. However, Hamilton's decided to partner with this company and therefore only gets 3 stars. (I was debating between 3 and 4). We bought a wall unit oven/microwave in 2021 that cost about $3k. The keypad went out. The error code is clear. The system notice tells you. We told the warranty people what the error code said. Extended warranty folks required I be home half a day. They arrive and tell me the oven needs a new keypad. Really?!?! Long story short, the oven is not repaired. It is now a full 2 months we have been without. We had to buy a countertop microwave, but still no oven. Extended Warranty keeps opening and closing tickets, and then stopped communicating because about 4 weeks after we started the process, the warranty expired. Now they don't think they have an obligation to finish the repair even though it started weeks before expiration. We had to order our own part and will install it ourselves. Thank you YouTube. Remedy will be to file small claims lawsuit for the value of the part and cost of the warranty. I only hope Hamilton's makes right with future customers and refuses selling this shoddy warranty product.
