My desire to have a houseful of shabby chic stuff is well documented. I was married for 14 years to someone who...well, his taste runs more to office depot. I made the journey today to check out these cute little Peruvian mirrors they get in from time to time. I'd ideally like 5 silver ones. They only had three I wanted and one wasnt totally silver...so I didnt buy today. But I will keep monitoring and likely go in again. Theyre freaking adorable. There was no one around at noon on Sunday so I could drool in peace. They had a number of cool old pieces. All the drawers opened easily ( unlike my current cool old pieces). I could have happily loaded up my car if I only had a place for them and a wad of cash. Not only do they have cool old stuff but they will paint/refinish/distress your cool old stuff too. Sweet. And they have sales from time to time on facebook. There was street parking right on 6th in front of their door. Easy peasy. They do have two steps up into their space if accessibility is an issue, fyi. Still pondering the bright green bar cart....it was cuuute. P.S. if you go check the hours on facebook. The store had a whole bunch of great high end pieces at very reasonable prices. I don't know if it is consignment or they buy and sell but the quality is fantastic. I purchased a mission style desk and chair for my office and it is perfect. They dated the piece (range) and delivered it at no cost. They even gave me some tips on care and maintenance. There are color tag sales everyday from 25% - 75% off select items The bad: -no dressing rooms. There are a couple mirrors at end caps where people gather around and try things on, but that gets crowded and it's not easy to try pants on over clothes. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal if they had a different return policy but... - no returns. All sales final - sections organized by color, not by size - not the cleanest space and some of the clothes on the racks have stains/tears, so be sure to really check your items before purchasing - cash only. I've sold many things through them and have bought a few things from them. I got lucky in the things we scored on I feel, they do take furniture but only if it's in great condition. I appreciate that to be honest . They have recently added more art and we've noticed that more people are present to greet us ands ask if they can help with anything as well. Every couple of months or so I decide to take a stroll through Peacock Lane, and I always find something that I want for a price that is pretty much what I think it should be. In fact, I have a beautiful framed print that I bought there about a year ago for around $40, a set of martini glasses that I purchased for $20, and various other things that fit into my decor wonderfully. There have been other items that I've passed over, only to decide later that I really did want, and then I find that they've been bought before I returned to buy them. So, long story short, it's a great shop and you should take a look around. If you see something you like, take it! You might not find it still there next time you walk in.

I found this pillow at the vintage nest a few weeks ago and totally loved it! i thought it was…read morevintage and a great find. since i loved it so much, i tried to look it up online to see if i could find the brand, since there wasn't a tag on it. i reverse image searched it and to my surprise its a SHEIN pillow. i feel cheated since it was sold to me as "vintage" for $30 and now i see its from SHEIN and costs $6. what a scam. the vintage nest does have some other good finds in the store but i don't trust anything they sell anymore. definitely not a vintage store. also just realized that this mirror that i found today in the store is from amazon!!! what a rip off. so disappointing.

I think they have some other flea market events indoors a couple other times during the year and you can check their facebook page for details (though it seems like they don't always post a lot of info there and they don't have a website other than the facebook page as of this writing). We went to the open-air event on Main Street and there were a lot of vendors over a few blocks. Various antiques and collectibles, household/kitchen items, decor, holiday decorations (vintage and new)...basically the wide range of goodies to peruse at a vintage/antique market. They had a few food trucks there as well, plus you have all the businesses, restaurants and coffee shops in downtown Oregon City there to wander around and grab a nosh and/or beverage. There is plenty of free parking around downtown and they also have paid parking on the street and in lots.
