She getting ready.
Meechelle F.

Our first impression very nice and welcoming. So my daughter is having her surgery done by Dr. Wilcox this morning. I've read so many reviews on this hospital before we got here and I felt a little nervous. I am sorry that most of the reviews from the patients were negative. I'm not sure of the time of day but everyone should be treated fairly and given the utmost respect and care... We were greeted upon arrival and the ladies at the information desk were very polite and friendly. They checked us in and give us the direction to the surgery check in. It was up stairs on the second floor and was very nice. She helped my daughter get checked in. Susie and got her to do her weight and vitals. She was very nice as well. She took us to her preOp room to get started. Karen her preOp nurse came introduced herself and let us know she will be taking care of of her before. She did her vitals, iv and got her put in the computer. Christina came in and introduced herself in to let us know she will be taking care of my daughter during her recovery. the anesthesiologist came in and introduced himself to let us know he will be providing her care along with his assistant. Surgery started around 11am and ended around 1:40pm. Dr. Wilcox called me and let me know things went good and she was doing well. He let me know that someone would call me when she get to a room. Everything was going great until time kept winding down and and no details were provided about her being bought to a room. She had been in a room around 3 something and I didn't find out until 5:15 pm. The lack of communication on that part bothered me. Other than that everything else was good.

My SWOLLEN FOOT!!!!!
David D.

The Staff here is so attentive and friendly. The Doctor I saw was probably a PA....I say this because my foot has been swollen the size of a BOULDER!!! I've been in such pain that I thought I could get a SMALL PAIN MEDICATION! I was accused of rolling my ankle (SO STUPID) I would know as I exercise all the time and have NEVER ROLLED MY ANKLE! I was given a Prescription for NAPROXEN which works fair...... I RECOMMEND IF YOU HAVE A SERIOUS GO TO A PLACE WHERE DOCTOR HAS MORE SENSE!!!!

Online portal saying she owes $100

Once I was done Mrs. Tina walked me over to the surgery waiting area and Mrs. Dense let them know I was ready. I waited maybe about 15 mins before Sarah came and got me. She took my vitals and got me situated for the surgery . Dr. Chae came and let me know we would start around 10:30am. He is always upbeat and chipper. The anesthesiologist Dr. Weddle came in and explained what she was going to be doing durning surgery. She was very explanatory and nice. Her assistant came in and let me know what she will be doing as well. She was nice and friendly. They set me up with the prep... meaning they had already put some of the anesthesia in my IV so I felt myself fading. I woke up in recovery and the nurse I had was so nice and attentive. She made sure I was comfortable until my room was ready. When I made it to my room Rielly was my nurse and they were getting ready for upcoming shift change. She was very nice and attentive. Later on that evening; I had David as a nurse and Nyosha as my CNA.. when I tell you they both went above and beyond with my care. I have no complaints. David was very chilled and laid back. I love how attentive to my pain and over care for getting better to be prepared for home. He said on schedule with my meds and helped manage my pain very well. I didn't have to call him for anything because he was already 2 steps ahead. Nyosha made sure I was very comfortable and had all that I needed.. she stayed on top of me staying hydrated and kept me comfortable. Erica from nutrition was amazing. They made sure everything was good and on time.. so my husband ordering a guest plate was more than enough. He loved all the dishes he ordered durning my stay. The staff was very polite and super friendly. When the shift came in the morning, I had Celine the nurse and Fudy was my CNA. They were a great team as well. They had taken care of all my needs durning the morning. I had to stay one more night just to be on the safe side. I had Angelina my nurse and Alexa was the CNA. They worked so well together. They made sure I was comfortable and managed my pain. I was have some abdominal cramping and Angelina bought me some heating packs. What a life saver. They felt so good and warm that it help my tummy. Housekeeping was great. She was very nice and sweet. She cleaned my room both times while I was there. She was very attentive to detail and just very humbled. Everyone was extremely helpful and I do recommend them to family and friends.

I found a cafeteria in the basement and it didnt look good, but I was tired and hungry so I gave it a chance. The food was very limited, but I found a "pulled pork" sausage, some mac and cheese that looked like it came from a box you would find in the dollar store and some brown coleslaw. Needless to say that it all looked and tasted terrible and I soon found myself having stomach pains and rushing to a bathroom. Never again!

Despite telling me they would prescribe Prednisone to help me breathe, they never actually called the prescription in. I relied on that medication to recover, and their failure to follow through has left me in a position where I can't breathe and my condition is rapidly worsening. Furthermore, I specifically asked the doctor to check my ears as I was feeling pain; I was told 'everything was fine.' Less than 24 hours later, I have a massive double ear infection. Because of this negligence and the lack of promised medication, my family has had to travel out to help care for me while I consider returning to the ER. This level of dismissiveness and lack of basic follow-through is dangerous. If you are looking for a provider who listens and actually manages your treatment plan, look elsewhere.

If those are your top 3 hospital characteristics when choosing where to go, then definitely go here. Littleton Adventist Hospital is now called Advent Health. The transition to the new organization didn't improve anything that I observed. Food did seem to go downhill though.

Was only given a street address to go to-no bld #, where to report to, ect. Showed up at 630 am fro 7 am appt. no one at admissions desk, no one in radiology, no answer on the number posted on radiology door. Finally found someone who could direct me to right place. Arrived and told that I had to reschedule because they had not receive pre-authorization from my insurance. Told they tried to call me yesterday, but don't leave messages. They left messages when they wanted to schedule and ONLY call I received all day was NOT from their hospital! Asked what would cost without insurance-told "It's a costly procedure. You don't want to pay for it." "How much is it ?!" "Able to pay the fee quoted. handed her a credit card and told "We can't accept payment until you are vetted by our finance dept and they don't open until 715, which will be too late to do your procedure." Have spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone trying to find out what I need to do to "get vetted". Bounced through 5 departments, disconnected four times. Got in loop with their A I system of pressing numbers and it not registering them. While I a om the phone trying to find out how to straighten this mess out- got a voice message (but finance can't do that!) to reschedule. Got caught in their A I system again! Finally got another number to call and left message 2 hours ago. No return call as yet. Then received confirmation from my insurance that they did preauthorize!
