In fact the entire facility seemed knew and clean. The CT tech was an absolute blast! His beside manner is second to non! His instructions felt reasonable and easy to follow. This was an important scan that I waited a month to get scheduled for and now I have to wait even longer and suffer the indignity of having to find an accessible CT scan. This felt borderline illegal by Ada law standards for a business. I filled out a lot of previsit paperwork, they paid for an Uber to come get me from my house, all of this had wheelchair user written all over it, yet I get to the room for the scan and I'm asked to stand up from my chair and get on a machine that is shoulder height to me. This was frankly embarrassing to me and the staff who could have told me ahead of time they did not have a way for me to use the machine. After the visit, I had to call up to the business to make sure my deductible was refunded due to no services being able to be performed. The billing g department told me to go back to the office in person to ensure the deductible was refunded. (5-8 business days to get the money back btw). So I called back to the robot line and acted as I needed to reschedule my appointment just to talk to a helpful csr, who was able to confirm my deposit got refunded. So total impact: wasted my time scheduling this place a month out, wasted my day getting embarrassed at their facility, and I get to float a big bill for 5-8 days before I see my money back in my account. Horrible. Just Horrible.

You set an appointment online or via their mobile app, finish all the paperwork online before you arrive, and then check in at the front desk the day of. The first time I went, I met with a doctor who was pushing to prescribe medication that I thought I didn't need. I'm not anti-meds, but I don't want to put unnecessary drugs into my body. I prefer a more natural approach, but OTC is okay, too. The second time I went, I learned that the doctor left unexpectedly, and I was assigned an RN. The RN is cool, but I am also pushed to prescribe random stuff to address whatever symptoms I have. Each time I've met with her, I've had to ask for non-prescription alternatives, which she would then tell me what she recommended. I wish she would start first with the non-prescriptions, then work her way to the prescription meds if the non-prescriptions don't work. I've never had a problem with billing, and I've had lab work done at this location, too. The nurse who draws blood is very good, and I felt no pain during that process. Don't expect a world-class service at this clinic, but it does get the job done if you need to see an RN. They can also provide a doctor's note if you need it for your work.

The outsourcing of their scheduling is a fairly recent thing and I cannot imagine who thought this was appropriate. These are people who are scheduling medical procedures for people who do not appear to even live in Texas. Unbelievable and would happily support another company whenever possible.

This is the worst healthcare provider service I have ever encountered, even after using diagnostic…read moreservices in some very rural areas and in the busiest Metropolitan areas. maybe one out of 10 service and scheduling reps even listens to your issue, but every center will drop your call after waiting on hold for 10 minutes- and I mean at exactly 10 minutes. Their system is programmed to drop you without any concern when you are waiting on hold for a STAT appt or desperate need. Completely insensitive and unhelpful. Their reports are often blurry and illegible even after requesting originals multiple times. They send faxes with blurry streaks and multiple printer lines and marks making them impossible to read. Good luck with your treatment.

The building is nice with a ramp and automatic doors. Once inside there is good signage and I found my way to the ARA office without any issues. I checked in right away. The waiting room is large with plenty of available seats and a TV. Within 5 minutes they called me up and I had my scan done in ten minutes, maybe less. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The machine was very clean and looked new. They had a knee pillow for me to use without having to ask. Talk about quality of care! I will definitely be coming here for all my imaging needs.

I never have trouble finding a parking space. There is almost never a wait because there are so many workers behind the counter. We delivered our first son 10 months ago here and they were amazing. We plan to have our next children here. I've been present in other births at other Austin area hospitals and nothing compares to the care and quality at BSW Lakeway L&D. It's like they recruited the best nurses in central Texas. I can go on to say that their ICU is also amazing. About 13 months ago we said goodbye to my grandma there at the age of 94. They were so wonderful making her comfortable with her final breaths and so gracious to us while we said goodbye. Great bedside manner. Highly recommend this hospital all around.

There's the main hospital which is quite large, and across the drive is a tall building that houses all of the specialty clinic offices (i.e., cardiology, obgyn, colorectal surgeon, GIs, etc). A complete renovation of the interior was completed during Covid when the clinics were closed. It's all bright, shiny and new, and now all the check in counters are on each side of a very wide long hallway on every floor. I really like all of the physicians and NPs that I see. It has taken me over six years to build my medical team and several of them are part of BSW. My favorite by far is my cardiologist. My least "dreaded" appointment to attend. Would be five stars, but a few things to note: like a few others have said, scheduling can be a bit of a nightmare at times. There's a central line you must call if you are unable to schedule through your patient portal (which is most often the case). I really wish I had the ability to contact each physician's office separately to speak to the schedulers who I personally know. And yes, some specialists are booked months out, sometimes into the following year. The specialty clinics appear to be understaffed. The parking garage is also not very convenient. It is located a little far away, and is not idea for someone with limited mobility. I have an inpatient procedure coming in the future, so I will be able to give an updated review of my experience at that time. Wish me luck!
