I highly recommend Marty at PCFixMe! located at 34900 Lakeshore Boulevard, Eastlake, Ohio. Marty at PCFixMe! answered my call, offered to fix later that same day, and when I drove up to CLE, he did troubleshooting and identified issues with motherboard. He corrected it, said it was common issue, and provided tips to prevent it (properly shutting down laptop). He also showed me how to remove back of motherboard and unplug/replug in battery, and provided me with small screwdrivers so I could do it myself if needed. Which I did when similar issues came up the next week. Twice. The solution worked temporarily, but... when my screen went black the following week, I called Marty to discuss. Since I was located an hour away, he kindly offered several options, one of which included helping me purchase a new laptop if motherboard was bad- worst case scenario. When I took the laptop to him, he did trouble shooting, laptop did not reboot, motherboard was bad and we proceeded to shop online for a replacement. He recommended a replacement, and he ordered it then and there. When it arrived a few days later at his shop, he called to tell me he noticed a scuff on the cover and also found that it did not have all he had expected in hardware, and apologized for his mistake. We discussed an alternative Lenovo laptop - also less expensive - and he purchased. When it arrived several days later, I picked it up. Marty was honest with me again and told me my old laptop eventually did reboot! I said I'd keep it as a backup, but I needed a reliable alternative for my new business. And I was back up and running within 4 business days. Marty at PCFixMe! is honest, prompt, professional, courteous and exceeds expectations! What a breath of fresh air.

Worst company ever to deal with. I never go through the trouble to write negative reviews but I…read moremade it a point to this time. They send out used items that are claimed as new and in top of that, they are defective and don't work! I called some guys named clad and he was the rudest person to speak with, he actually hung up on me when I asked why I got a used item that doesn't even work! Then to get a replacement they made me may for a new board and 30$ in shipping. When I sent them the board back they refused to give me a refund!!!! It's nuts how these guys are even in business still. Just type their name in a search engine and see all the negative comments.

Read the small print!!! For some of their merchandise, there is 1 line below the item description…read morein blue text that says, "These units are Manufacturer Refurbished and have minor scuffs and scratches, but are fully operational and function as intended". Unlike most respectable companies, the product name does not say "(Refurbished)". Upon buying my daughters laptop for her 17th birthday, my wife and I wrapped it and it sat for 1 1/2 months until her birthday. When she opened it, we were surprised to find that it was not new as we thought, and after reading the small print online, we realized just what an incredibly dishonest company Ascendtech is. There were no minor scuffs and scratches on the laptop. Instead there were horrible scratches and 1 deep gouge near the battery of the laptop. There were no manuals, no cds, no factory stickers... nothing. It came with the power cord and that was it. Also, the touchpad did not work correctly. There were no click functions for the touchpad, and the mouse just kept moving erratically across the screen. After 3 hours of troubleshooting, I realized that not only had the driver for the touchpad not been updated, but it was the completely incorrect driver altogether. The touchpad was a Synaptics touchpad, and the driver was a generic driver that wasn't even for the correct operating system. Upon e-mailing the company to try to get a RMA# so I could return the laptop for a full refund, the person that e-mailed me back stuck to his guns about their return policy. It's only 30 days, so if you do buy something as a gift from this company, open it right away to make sure you got what you paid for. In the end, I got a laptop for my daughters 17 birthday that absolutely was not fully operational and functional (until I fixed it) as advertised, and there were much more than minor scuffs and scratches. I will not EVER do business with this company again due to their dishonesty about the products they sell. I would highly advise any other prospective customers to look elsewhere as well.

The first time was when I unknowingly put thermal paste underneath my CPU and ruined my motherboard. So after I purchased a new motherboard, I was still having issues with the PC. I took it back to RizTech and they were able to fix all the issues that I was having. They are amazing people, and are very tech-savvy. Not to mention it's a small business! This is all after a friend of mine recommended them to me because she has been going to them every time she has any sort of issues with her Nintendo Switch, or other devices!!! Thank you so much RizTech!!!!

It is because of that comment that I am taking time to write a review and giving just a 1 star. You should know the type of people who work there. There was a disagreement about what was on my hard drive when I brought my PC in. To close the issue the owner offered a partial refund. I was sent home the first time with a PC that needed all the files (200+GB) downloaded from OneDrive. That could have been that. The next day, I needed to go back with my credit card to receive the refund. I took the laptop back in because I had tried for about 45 minutes to log into Microsoft on all 3 of my PCs and couln't so I couldn't get to my OneDrive. Tech A was a little reluctant but helped me log into Microsoft. When I got to the OneDrive screen I said out loud that it was showing me I could upload but I needed to download. Tech B spoke up, irritated that I was there, and said "You don't get that. That is part of the paid service." It would have taken him a minute, but no. I pointed out that I didn't get showneven with the paid service either. He left the room. He obviuosly was angry that I was given a refund. He could have taken a minute to do it and let me go on my way, but no. The shop failed to write something on my order that didn't get done that is going to cost me a lot of time now but he couldn't do that. That comment is what I will remember about this shop.
