I appreciate that they listen and are not close minded. The experience from the initial phone call…read moreto a new patient screener to the first appointment was exceptional. My complete history was documented and the physical was thorough. My experiences elsewhere were full of expectations that devices would be implanted as I was handed brochures to read up about them so that when the sales pitch came, I was somewhat knowledgeable about what they had planned for my treatment. Although I had been diagnosed with Neuropathy, I wasn't diabetic. They only assumed how they would treat my pain without an exam and just using the BUZZWORDS, my cure was in the brochure (which included surgery, physical therapy and THOUSANDS of dollars). The entire office staff were kind, courteous and pleasant to work with.

My referral was originally for specifically Dr. Nasser, however I was sent to a different doctor at…read morethis practice due to my old practice deciding to do away with their pain managment specialty all together. I understand that they have questions they need to ask as per their job and state/federal regulations on pain managment, however, Dr. Glenn sounded VERY accusatory from the git go. And i get it to some degree, I CHOSE to be on a medication that's typically given to people struggling with dependency/addiction, but id hope a doctor would be able to set their preconceived notions aside to effectively and correctly do their job and thats not why im on this particular med, im on it cuz It works better than traditional opiods and my prior pain managment doctor boasted about how its safer and id agree. But from the moment he saw my charts, things were off. I didn't realize right away that he didn't have ALL of my records, so when I was begrudgingly asked if I used recreational drugs, I said no, thinking that my open Marijuana usage was listed and he could see it, Dr. Glenn clapped back with "you've never done recreational drugs" (as if I was lying) I responded with "I mean as an adult, no. As a teen yeah, what teen doesn't" and Dr. Glenn asks what i tried as a teen (my last teen year was 13 years ago mind you) I gave him the information he was asking for. We move on to him asking if I'd ever received surgery for the things im complaining of, answer was no. Then I get told "well if I had been told I have significant narrowing of the hip space joints, I'd have gone and got surgery" i interrupted at that point and said "today's march 11th, I wasn't told about the hip space issues until february 25th... there hasn't been enough time to figure things out". Which i would assume, if he had access to that specific record, he likely had access to see when imagining was actually taken, but maybe im wrong. He asks me to take UA as normal for pain management and told me he wasn't gonna have me sign a pain managment contract "in case things didn't work out"... fast forward to march 25th, my next appointment with him (he wanted to see me when I was supposed to have a refill of meds) I drive the hour from my house to the facility (which Dr. Glenn was made aware in march 11th appointment that I lived an hour away) once i make it inside im told that they cant complete the appointment because they dont have my records. To which they send another request and ask me to reach out to my pcp, which I do before leaving the parking lot on the 25th. 26th I hear from my PCP that records were already sent, 27th I call az pain treatment to set up a new appointment, while on the phone with the receptionist, i explain that the doctor canceled my 3/25 appointment because he "didnt have all my records", to which the receptionist informs me "i must have misunderstood because they have all my records from what she can tell", i explained thats verbatim what the lady at the front desk said, my husband was standing right there when it was said, definitely not a misunderstanding" and she said "hmm thats weird, you chdck all our boxes for setting up an appointment so we will go ahead and set one up for you". The appointment was set for March 31st. The 31st rolls around and I at least got a phone call this time, telling me not to drive the hour away, because "Dr. Glenn thinks you're not fit for our practice, and that you need to go to orthopedic surgery" Being that my pcm used to be a pain managment doctor, they found that odd as they were trained to avoid surgery unless absolutely necessary, especially for someone in my age group. That being said, I feel more so that this doctor thought I had other issues, and wrote me off from the git go and if that's not the case, then his bedside manner is seriously lacking. Even if I had a drug dependency/addiction issue, being accusatory isn't actually helpful. But aside from that, ive been in therapy over 10 years and continue to go because of the addiction that runs heavily in my family, I wanted to make sure to never be like my parents and ive done a really good job at that, and I'll be damned if I get accused of anything im not doing let alone something ive actively worked towards avoiding my entire existence. Needless to say, im thankful it didn't work out and that I didn't sign a pain managment contract with Dr. Glenn. I do wish I had been given the opportunity to see Dr. Nasser, I hear he's nice and who I thought I was seeing until I spoke with my PCP again today. Just as a warning to others, there is a mandatory nonsense pain class required for pain patients, a…read moreweekly class in the afternoons. I don't know how they can possibly convince people who work to attend those ridiculous classes. For instance, and I still have the handouts to prove this, the entire point of one class was to teach us about neuroplasticity, by doing exercises such as padding our heads and rubbing our tummies, and then changing the direction of the rub. This would supposedly reprogram our brains so that our pain would be better. It's a ludicrous money grab and I really think that they should not be charging insurance for those classes. I think they advertise it is complementary, but we all know that hours of professionals' time is not free. Additionally, although I was forgetting about that, having not been there since Dr Stearns unfortunately passed away, I called to inquire about how long they were booking out for ablation treatments, since this is what I normally received, after the initial appointment. The receptionist couldn't answer the question, and told me that I would need to speak with christina, and she could tell me, and I quote, what the average time to schedule a procedure is. I had waited 10 minutes on hold to speak with the receptionist, and then when he transferred me to christina, it was another 7 minutes, at which point the receptionist returned and said Christina would not be able to answer the question. When I was there before, I felt it was obvious that the office staff was poorly trained and unprofessional, and this on top of everything else made me decide to cancel my appointment. Good riddance.

That was until the Center for Pain and Supportive Care took over my pain management. I underwent surgery to have a Medtronic Pain Pump placed in my abdomen. it has changed my quality of life ten fold. I can go out and enjoy time with friends and family. I can cook and help around the house. I can take my daughter to lunch. None of these things possible without the care I have received. Best part, I don't have to feel loopy from the endless amount of pain pills I was taking previously. Thank You Jennifer, Dr. Gobi...you are directly responsible for my pain free existential and I am forever grateful.

This place is a huge law suit waiting to happen. Please refer to Google reviews to read the many…read morehorror stories from this clinic. Place needs to be reported! To all the patients that have had issues I advise you file grievances with your insurance companies! I was supposed to get a procedure done and a denial letter had been sent to Sun Pain Management the 23 or 24th of March. I called the establishment many times of several days to verify that my procedure that I was supposed to be getting in the beginning of April was still happening. I was forced to drive there to get confirmation of the procedure. Thursday around 4:30 I was called and told the insurance had denied my procedure and it was canceled. I was told the denial had been sent to them on Wednesday. When I asked why they'd waited to call me so late in the day to inform me of this, I was given an unacceptable answer. I called the clinic back and in desperation asked how much the procedure would be for me out of pocket. For some context, I was in a bad car accident and many surgeries later, I have been left with severe nerve pain and generalized pain. I am not on any narcotics or opioids. So this procedure was very important to me. I was told I couldn't pay for the procedure due to the type of insurance I have. In the middle of that conversation another lady who claimed to be the office manager, took the phone and said it was 3 mins past closing time and that this was not an issue they could handle and HUNG UP ON ME. I called my insurance the following day which was Friday. I spoke with an agent from my insurance who told me that my insurance had called and left voicemails requesting a peer to peer. They also informed Sun Pain that I needed a more updated MRI of my lumbar. Which I had! All Sun Pain Management needed to do was request the records from the hospital where I've had my many surgeries. All of this would've been avoided if they actually did their job. When my insurance got no call back, no new MRI, and couldn't arrange for a peer to peer they denied the procedure. The letter was sent to them on March 23 or 24. The following Monday I again drove to the clinic. I wanted to see who the rude and heartless individual id been talking to was and report them to someone higher up for their extreme unprofessionalism. Come to find out the lady I spoke to wasn't the office manager. A lady name Angie was. I explained to her everything that had happened and she told me that someone was going to get "written up". I made the remark that they shouldnt have a job for 1. Speaking to a patient that way and 2. For pretending to be the office manager. I explained to her that my pain was unbearable. She got me in to see a provider id never seen before for some sort of injections that did nothing to minimize the pain. If anything I felt more pain with them, then without. When id called the insurance id filed an appeal and a grievance report for how I was treated. I informed Angie of this, and she gave me her personal cell number and told me to go through her for anything. She was diligent and was keeping up with things, and then everything lost momentum again. I had a stroke scare and had more MRIs and CAT scans done so upon discharge, I went to Sun Pain and signed the document that would release the imaging so that they could use them to get my procedure approved. I heard back from the grievance that id filed, and I'm going to be disputing the resolution. I deleted the original review because I got a call from Angie telling me that someone above her had read my review and told her they wouldn't be keeping me on as a patient unless I took it down. Since I thought they were trying to fix the original incident I gave them the benefit of the doubt and removed the review. However, after seeing that my case wasn't going anywhere with them I found another pain management place in a more dignified side of town, and have since discharged myself completely from Sun Pain Management. The biggest thing from this is DONT BE AFRAID TO ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF. I think it was fate because after reading the literal horror stories from other reviews, I'm glad they didn't do my procedures. They could've caused more harm than good. Please be very careful if you decide to start care or remain at this clinic.

This is ridiculous, there were many going in for procedures that included sedation who got there much after I did, and somehow, I didn't get in for mine. Asked about updates and I was told the first time, 30 min. behind, after and hour, they are behind, 1hour behind, no idea when, after 2 hours, was told that she would check and then said it would be soon. I explained twice that sitting and waiting was increasing my pain levels, do to unpadded chair in the waiting room. They just don't seem to care! I don't know what the issue was, never could get any answer other than they were running behind and training people. I think i will be looking for someone who wants to do more than shots that don't seem to be working well.

When I struck up a conversation with those in the waiting room to get a gist of what the clinic was like I was totally stunned! They had no idea what RFA was nor did Carmen. She used slang terminology to describe a procedure. This place is sooo ghetto, not to mention the fact that when I requested some water..the bottle I was given was clearly USED..it was so obvious that they had refilled it! I even told PCP and the asst. That spoke volumes to me. I was terrified & couldn't wait to get out of there. Not to mention the fact they had NO REVIEWS.(Note:This is the 1st ) They are a fly by night operation they peddle trigger point injections to milk YOUR insurance. Ive never felt so out of place. I asked pertinent questions that were skimmed over. They unequivocally never wanted "me" as their patient and vice versa! . Please RUN far and fast. If you've no other options, stop at an "urgent"care and have drug panel done in advance of your appt.; just to be safe. Hindsight is always 20/20! They have special ways to discredit you.. Please believe me.. I rarely write a review I don't care for social media.. But I truly felt obligated to speak up. I am more than willing to take a polygraph to substantiate my comments. No problem!
