Dieter is AWESOME. He modified my rain gutters to direct water to a dry creekbed, which required removing the old ones and installing new ones angled just right. I own a number of rental properties and I was recently in need of rain gutters on one of my houses. I called around to several of the local gutter installation contractors. Being the middle of the rainy season, most of them told me it would be a week or so before they could provide an estimate and then another week or two before I could get mine installed. I eventually called Advanced Rain Gutter Systems and Dieter met me at the property three days later to assess the job. He was on time and he gave me a estimate that was fair. 3 days later the gutters were installed. I observed and watched as Dieter installed the gutters and I was very impressed with his workmanship. We don't often write reviews, but my wife and I simply had to do so for Dieter and his company, Advanced Rain Gutter Systems. Our first terrific experience was some years ago, when Dieter did an amazing job installing gutters on our two-story home. He was amazingly responsive and did a terrific job for a very good price. Then, just recently, our beloved, first-born son, who was building a work gazebo for himself and his mother, passed. We wanted to save his work and, since Dieter's work was so good, we called him as the rains were a few days away. Dieter changed his travel plans, came by immediately and installed gutter on the structure a day before the rains came! Deiter did the whole 150 ft of gutter + 4 downspouts by himself in 4 hrs. That included removing the old gutters and cleanup. Watching him for a while will remove any doubts about his knowledge of the business. We've had several storms, and one big one, since with no leaks or problems like I had with the old gutters. At first, Deiter may come on as a little abrupt or impatient. There was another guy I liked better at first but he never bothered to return my calls even after I tried to hire him. I'm glad he didn't. I was wrong about Deiter; he turned out to be very friendly and willing to do more than expected. I'm sure he did a better job than Mr. Niceguy would have done and the price was better. I'd recommend Deiter to anyone. read more

Dieter removed and replaced part of our rain gutters that a fallen tree damaged. He was quick and did a great job. The turn around time from the the of his estimate was less than a week. We recently had new rain gutters installed on our home in preparation for el nino. I called several places before calling Dieter, and all of them were booking about three months out. Dieter was able to come and give an estimate within a couple of days, and we waited less than two weeks for installation. He was incredibly flexible, as we were getting the house painted and I needed to see the completed paint before choosing gutter colors. He was able to get them made with just a week's notice. I used my Angies list discount to get 192' of thin seemless aluminum rain gutters installed at my Church for under $1000! As long as your careful not to stress them with an extension ladder going on the roof I think they will last; Lifetime Warranty. Much thinner than the gutters on my house, though. read more

Unfortunately I have to give him just one star. This has nothing to do with Dieter's gutter repair work but what he did when he "voluntarily" cleaned out the gutter on one side of the house while doing the gutter repairs. He told me he had scooped out handfuls of moss/goop. So, I paid him some extra $$ for his effort and assistance (without looking at the area first). What he did not tell me was that when he flung the goop towards the ground it landed on my air conditioner, my 3 trash cans, the wall of my house, a window and all over the block wall next to my house. When I called him about it he refused to do anything about helping to clean up the mess and instead criticized me for not appreciating what he had for me and how it was a winter day and what he did should have been done in the summer. He could have asked me for a bucket or told me in advance that there would be that mess instead of creating it without my knowledge and then not even telling me how bad it was. I am very disappointed and being of advanced age will have to hire someone to clean it up. read more
