Nicole at Renew Therapy in San Francisco is absolutely the best. I've taken three of her strength…read moretraining for runners classes over the past year, and the difference in my strength and balance as an athlete has been huge. The classes are incredibly well-designed, with lots of thoughtful single-leg work that has really helped even me out and address weaknesses I didn't even realize I had. Nicole is knowledgeable, encouraging, and clearly understands runners and how to make strength work both challenging and effective. I always leave feeling stronger! Can't recommend Nicole or Renew Therapy enough for runners looking to improve performance and stay healthy.

I cannot say enough good things about Renew Physical Therapy! I had been trying to self diagnose…read moreand self treat lingering running issues (Achilles tendinitis and calf strain) for almost a year, to no avail. I worked with Dr. Nicole who is not only an expert PT but also an avid runner, and she helped me realize that the key to my recovery was not more foam rolling and stretching, but runner-specific strength training progressions. Over the course of 6 weeks, I went from cautiously running 3 miles a couple times a week to building up to a 21-mile race PR! I'm forever grateful to Dr. Nicole and Renew PT for helping me work through my limitations and building the strength and confidence to push into new frontiers... SF Marathon here I come!

Prior to going to my sessions, I was skeptical about seeing a PT, but her approach changed my perspective. She taught me way more than I thought I'd walk away with. In a short few weeks, I sensed my body feeling stronger. Thank you Mervi! Shoutout to my other therapist Spencer as well.

What first caught my attention was the information available on the website and how they claimed to "not be another" physical therapy office. As any intrigued customer would, I called and was greeted by a very friendly, competent, and helpful administrator, Toya. Toya provided a lot of great insight about the company and even called my insurance provider (Blue Cross Blue Shield) to ensure that my insurance would be accepted before scheduling my initial visit. Toya really is awesome and is one of the reasons that I chose Therapydia. Upon arrival to the Embarcadero Center, where the office is located, parking is available in the underground structure and Therapydia validates parking. Instead of paying $18, I only paid $4. The actual office is upstairs between a hair studio and other business. The office was very clean, inviting, and provided enough privacy that other patrons wouldn't know what's happening. I was originally scheduled to meet with Allison, but, I worked with Marcus instead. Marcus was friendly and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to rehabilitating my shoulder at Therapydia and recommend them for any physical therapy needs.

I am so amazed at how she can figure out how to undo all the damage I have done to myself over the years, even things I didn't realize. She's a real master detective with incredible intuition and an amazing healing touch. Her approach to body work is extremely special and unique, combining advanced techniques and principles from a variety of disciplines, like structural integration, myofascial release, energy work, and Neurovascular Release. Incredibly effective and unlike anything I've ever experienced before! I've seen acupuncturists, massage therapists and chiropractors for years and have seen more results in just a few sessions with Christine. She is really passionate about her work and it definitely shows. Christine is a true healing partner and so pleasant to work with. She has helped provide me the tools and understanding for me to be more mindful, and feel better in my body far beyond the sessions. I'm very grateful for her. Thank you, Christine! We are so lucky to have you in the Bay Area!

I started seeing Christine years ago. It began as a birthday present to get a massage but what I…read moredidn't realize is that was just the tip of the iceberg. Fast Forward to the beginning of last year, my lower back demanded my attention: it went from fine to f*cked in just one a day. I couldn't walk for more than 10 minutes nor stand longer than five minutes. Riding on BART was excruciating and going to work became impossible. That's when I reached out to Christine. Quickly, she helped me realize the old, unhealthy patterns I developed in my body were at their breaking point. The delayed cause and effect of not having proper posture, over years, finally caught up to me. I was completely unconscious of the patterns I developed - sitting, standing, walking - you name it, it all needed attention but I didn't feel overwhelmed. Step by step, Christine worked on my body and gave me exercises and tools to create lasting change. I became more mindful of my posture, my body was healing, and I began having more positive energy. Mind you, this was pre-covid and we accomplished so much in less than three months - I felt 70% healed. During the shutdown, I continued the exercises she gave me, the suggestion to do Hatha Yoga (I already had a yoga practice but unknown to me, Hatha Yoga is what I needed), and I created a healthy desk setup - all based on Christine's suggestions. When it became permittable to see Christine again, I returned feeling 80% better. I was proud of the work I did and I felt empowered to stay healthy. It was at this point we began, the 12 step series. Twelve sessions to truly align the body with its natural state of being. Here we addressed any acute issues as they showed up and did _deep_ work that ultimately created more space in my body. I experienced improvements in the cramps associated with my moon cycle, going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and I grew an inch! Sometimes during the sessions, I would have past~life releases. The healing that took place on Christine's table was multifaceted. Now, as the series becomes complete, I understand the necessity of structural therapy; the transformation it can have on acute issues and deep patterns is profound. Beyond just a birthday gift, it's a form of self-care that heals old wounds and creates new ways of being for a strong future. Further, Christine became my partner in healing. She cared and supported me in my darkest hour with such love and grace; I am forever grateful and forever changed. Thank you, Christine, for caring about my well~being as much as I do!
