This is the cleanest mechanic I have ever been to. Cannot detect a single drop of oil in the entire facility. They are very effective at getting you in the door and making you comfortable. That is when they start to sell you everything under the sun. Whether you need it or not, they will prescribe it. Stupid me, I thought they were trying to help. It wasn't until I received my first bill that I realized they were just helping themselves to my money. I was billed seven times to use their activity area to stretch. I was doing simple things which I had no issue doing in the comfort of my own home. After my first visit I received zero instruction from the doctors or their assistants. Just nice converstation. They billed my insurance $140 everytime I stretched. I was also charged $120 and $80 for them to wrap my ankles. If I knew how much the market charged for wrapping ankles I would have choosen a different career path. After my first visit they decided I needed orthodics, they were probably right. Due to one leg being less than 1/4 inch longer than the other they said I needed custom fit orthodics. Of course. The orthodics are nice, and they better be considering they cost over $500. When all was said and done, they billed over $3000 to my insurance leaving me to pay $1200 on my own. All of this took place over seven visits. Thankfully I cancelled the final three visits.
When I received the bill I called their billing person to see if they would reduce the charges. She told me that she receives the codes from the doctors and bills the insurance accordingly. She doesn't have anything to do with what gets billed. Then I went into their office to talk to Tim. He told me that they just enter the codes for the services which are rendered and it is not based on what or how much you do, just time. Apparently the prices for services were dropped from the sky. Nobody has any control over how much is charged. He told me he will talk to the other faux doctor to determine if he used the correct codes for me. I am waiting with baited breath to see what they do for me.
In final, I was charged $55 and $65 each visit for adjustments, $140 each visit to use they facilities to strech for 30 minutes, $500+ for custom fit orthodics, $120 and $80 for ankle taping, $60 for some type of gel. They also told me I had to buy a foam roll for $40 and needed to attend their ergonomics class which I never did (probably $150).
When I told my HR department at work about my experience they told me there were several other employees who had similar displeasure with Tim and Vijay. Thankfully for the next employees, APMT will not be back. Perhaps if they worked on client retention, they wouldn't have to go to businesses to recruit prospective customers. read more
